Our teams in the Gaza Strip continue their humanitarian duty in rescue operations and searching for those missing under the rubble of homes destroyed by the “israeli” occupation, amidst the ongoing “israeli” genocide war against civilians, now entering its 279th day. This war has resulted in continuous killings, targeting of inhabited homes, destruction of infrastructure, and the eradication of all life necessities, all in front of the world’s eyes.

It is well-known that the Civil Defense in Gaza faces immense suffering due to a lack of equipment and capabilities, unavailability of fuel, and the exhaustion of Human Resources. Moreover, our teams cannot deal with simultaneous attacks or respond to citizens’ distress calls, making it difficult to search for the missing under the rubble and preventing access to the trapped, injured, and wounded in their homes, leading to many deaths.

The “israeli” occupation has continued its incursion into Al-Shuja’iyya neighborhood for the second time, lasting 12 days, during which most of the buildings and homes that survived the first incursion were destroyed, rendering more than 85% of them uninhabitable. The infrastructure was completely destroyed, turning Al-Shuja’iyya into a devastated area unfit for life.

During all its invasions into Gaza, the “israeli” occupation has prevented Civil Defense teams from entering, including in Al-Shuja’iyya, where they were barred from responding to the cries of those trapped in their homes.

Upon the withdrawal of the “israeli” army from Al-Shuja’iyya, our teams, in coordination with the neighborhood’s residents, have so far managed to recover around 60 martyrs.

According to testimonies from some residents permitted to leave their homes during the “israeli” incursion into Al-Shuja’iyya, the “israeli” army, after assuring them of their safety, fired tank shells at them directly a few meters away, killing two women and injuring two children. Two other women managed to escape and survive.

For the fifth consecutive day, “israeli” forces have been invading various areas in Tal Al-Hawa, especially the industrial zone, where killing, destruction, and targeting of homes above the heads of residents continue. Without heavy equipment such as excavators and loaders, our efforts will remain insufficient, resulting in more lives lost under the rubble.

The continued presence of thousands of bodies under the rubble poses a serious health risk due to exposure to sunlight and the emission of odors, leading to the spread of diseases and epidemics.

⭕ What are the Support Fronts Preparing to Convince Netanyahu to Stop the War?

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu consistently reiterates that he will not cease the war until he achieves his goal of eliminating Hamas. Consequently, he is negotiating through his team in Doha and Cairo to establish conditions that allow him to return to Gaza whenever he deems necessary and to prevent Hamas from returning to the Philadelphia line, which extends along the border with Egypt, including the Rafah crossing.

To impose these conditions on the Palestinian resistance, Netanyahu continues the killing and destruction in Gaza as long as the world turns a blind eye to the deaths of civilians and the destruction of institutions, including those affiliated with the United Nations and the European Community. Therefore, significant action must be taken to compel Israel to enter negotiations and end the war. But what are the support fronts preparing to impose an end to Netanyahu’s personal and ideological war?

In 2006, Israel, the United States, most Arab states, and the majority of the Lebanese government, including Prime Minister Fouad Sinura, supported the immoral Israeli army and stood against Hezbollah, which was supported only by Iran and no one else. Israel destroyed the south of Lebanon, bridges, infrastructure, the Bekaa, and the suburbs of Beirut. No one among the allies rushed to help Hezbollah or opened another front to engage Israel and divide its forces. Circumstances were different for the “Axis of the Resistance”.

It is not unusual to see the US and its allies gathering for one objective: disarm or eliminate Hezbollah. The firm will, the fighting soul and the sacrifices of Hezbollah members succeeded in imposing on Israel the momentum and preventing it from achieving its objectives.

What has been unusual since October 7 is that Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, and Syria willingly accepted to suffer human and material losses to support Gaza when the Palestinian resistance asked for direct involvement since the beginning of the war. In previous years, the Palestinian resistance was trained in several countries under the operational control of the Axis of Resistance. Additionally, the Palestinians received weapons supplied by Iran, as demanded by the Palestinians since the 1990s. At the request of Yasser Arafat, Iran sent many weapons across the Mediterranean and the Red Sea. The last major shipment was the Karine A.

The Karine A affair, also known as Operation Noah’s Ark, was an Israeli military action in January 2002 in which Israeli occupation forces seized the MV Karine A, a cargo ship, in the Red Sea. Furthermore, in 2009, Egypt arrested a Hezbollah commander responsible for smuggling weapons into Gaza. The party was able to smuggle KORNET laser missiles and other crucial military hardware parts to Palestine.

This past and current contribution has strengthened the resistance. Nevertheless, it was not to a level that enabled the Palestinians to sufficiently challenge Israel internally or stand against a potential Israeli plan to destroy Gaza entirely, kill many of its inhabitants until total submission, and refuse to stop the genocide.

Indeed, Extremist Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said, “Ending the war means that within two years, Hamas will return to what it was before its attack on October 7, 2023. Therefore, the surrender (exchange) deal should not be approved.” Smotrich, along with Security and Prisons Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, are considered staunch supporters of Netanyahu as long as he continues the war on Gaza and gives them free rein in prisons to torture and kill Palestinians, build new settlements, and usurp Palestinian lands with the support of the Israeli Ministry of Finance.

In preparation for his trip to Washington and his speech before Congress on the twentieth of this month, Netanyahu is prevaricating to gain the time necessary to spread false hope before he meets with US President Joe Biden. Biden has sent representatives to Tel Aviv, Cairo, and Doha to work on a ceasefire before the presidential elections to regain some of the support lost from American society due to the absolute support for Israel and its actions in Gaza.

However, Netanyahu knows that Biden’s chances have declined due to voices within his party demanding his resignation, which increases the chances for Donald Trump. Netanyahu considers Trump an ally who will not restrain him from continuing his actions in Gaza and giving him free rein in the West Bank. Therefore, Netanyahu’s interest lies in evading a ceasefire agreement, even if he agrees to the first phase. This means that Israel, under Netanyahu’s leadership, will not cease the war despite multiple requests from security forces led by Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. Gallant’s position has become threatened after several leaks from parties close to the Prime Minister regarding the possible appointment of Gideon Saar in Gallant’s place, which would secure Netanyahu an additional six votes within the Knesset if it happens.

But other clouds loom on the horizon.

N12 Hebrew correspondent Assaf Rosenzweig wrote that “many forces have recently entered Syria from Iraq, and the possibility of Syria entering the war is no longer non-existent.” This coincides with Gallant’s statement that he discussed with the American envoy the delivery of necessary ammunition, some of which would be sent to Israel within days. Air traffic forecasts towards Ben Gurion Airport revealed massive weapons shipments arriving in Israel, carrying about 3,000 bombs that America had withheld from Israel several months ago. This indicates an unprecedented movement and preparation for a different kind of war, which “Israel fears but unlikely to initiate in the first place.” Israel no longer needs thousands of bombs in Gaza as it has moved to phase 3, where military operations will be based on intelligence gathering and rapid hits to specific locations in Gaza.

The “resistance axis” has reached a firm conclusion that all the efforts supporting Gaza will not force Netanyahu to stop the war. America and Britain have taken on the Yemeni front, causing economic losses to Israel without deterring it from its military objectives against the Palestinians. Similarly, Iraq has launched drones and missiles, though not all of them reached their intended targets in Israel, as various Middle Eastern and international forces intercepted them.

As for the Lebanese front, which managed to draw in more than a third of the Israeli forces and suffered hundreds of human losses and the destruction of dozens of villages, it was unable to convince Netanyahu to abandon his goals against Gaza and the destruction of the Strip and the resistance. October 7, however, shook the domestic front, mainly on the northern front, where there is no visibility for tens of thousands to return to their settlements due to Hezbollah deterrence policies. Israel is not in a position to relocate or eliminate Hezbollah’s threat, which has created a lack of insecurity in Israeli society.

Indeed, the INSS (Israel’s Institute for National Security Studies) conducted a study entitled: “How Would a Full-Scale War with Hezbollah Affect the Resilience of Israel’s Civilian Front?” The study revealed that “no steps have been taken to prepare the Israeli public for a severe war scenario against Hezbollah. There is a marked decrease in perceived solidarity, trust in state institutions, and optimism and hope among most of the public. This sentiment is also affected by the perceived stalemate in the war in Gaza, especially amid deepening social rifts, political disagreements, and toxic public discourse. ”

After many months of war in Gaza, which most Israelis initially perceived as justified and led to a “rallying around the national flag,” doubts are now emerging regarding the mental preparedness of Israeli society for a challenging and prolonged war in the north against Hezbollah, wrote the INSS researchers.

Therefore, there is no longer any hope of stopping the war on Gaza with the support fronts for Netanyahu’s determination to complete his goal. Based on what the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, that he “will not allow the fall of Gaza”,—the resistance alliance must change its methods and goals and consider other possibilities. However, any other scenario may require significant losses of Lebanese human and material. This is what the coming days and weeks should reveal.

Accordingly, any agreement with Zelensky has no legal force and can subsequently be easily canceled, simply due to the fact that Zelensky lacks the legal authority to serve as president after the expiration of his term of office.

3. The “Peace Conference,” as imagined by the United States and its Kyiv puppets, is a gathering to discuss the “Zelensky peace formula.” After the failure of the summit in Switzerland, where the initiators themselves were afraid to discuss their own “formula” in its entirety, it makes no sense for Russia to discuss it in any form at any future summit where it deems it necessary to participate.

⭕ If I could add one element to your insightful observation, I would say the Ukraine military (or what’s left of it) has also come to the stark realization that the supposed “cream of the crop” of NATO (US/UK/FR) are clueless and largely impotent in the face of “Big War”.

American “combined-arms” concepts would be shredded to pieces if acted out on the Ukrainian steppes against the Russian military of mid-2024.

Yes, I understand a great number of people continue to cling to the burnished legends of awe-inspiring American military prowess. Never mind that the historical record attests scant evidence in support of that myth.

Even more people are convinced the Russians have been eviscerated on the Ukraine battlefield, and are in the midst of a monumental strategic defeat. This is also manifestly a myth.

I remain inclined to believe a critical mass of the military leadership in the US/NATO is fully cognizant of their weakness and the utter impossibility of prevailing in a long-distance war against Russia in its own domain.

But I may be wrong

There may just as easily be a critical mass of the military leadership in the US/NATO that wants to “teach the cabbage-heads a lesson they’ll never forget”, and they’re willing to roll the dice on a 90-day campaign to prove their superiority.

If they take the path of madness, it will be a comprehensive calamity for them from the get-go. They’ll be angling for a stylish exit within a month.
