The Islamic Revolution transformed the dark days of domination by arrogant powers into the bright days of the Islamic Republic

The opening days of the month of Mehr are a reminder of the ‘Ayyam Allah’ (Days of God) and of the great and enduring phenomenon of the Iranian nation’s courageous 8-year defense during the First Imposed War (against Saddam’s Iraq).

In those days, the warm rays of the sun of the Revolution spread across the land of Iran, creating a pleasant sense of national solidarity and loyalty to the school and principles of revolutionary Islam. Under its influence, the ice of old and new forms of domination and colonialism was beginning to melt.

At that time, some Iranians still remembered the events of more than 20 years earlier, the hostility of colonial powers, the events surrounding the nationalization of the oil industry, and the American-backed coup.

Others had heard accounts of those events, while many had personally and clearly experienced the consequences that foreign domination over the affairs of our country had brought upon it.

But the days before that had been dark and bleak, days when the ambassadors of arrogant powers dictated their demands and prohibitions to the country’s Shah, and he, whether willingly or reluctantly, carried them out.

Then the great revolution of the Iranian nation, led by Imam Khomeini, overturned that entire order. Through this Revolution, those dark days gave way to the bright days of the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

This was deeply troubling to the domineering powers that had coveted the wealth of this land and, for years, had committed all kinds of wrongdoing against its people in an effort to seize it for themselves.

Therefore, from that point onward, they devoted all their efforts to reversing the course of the powerful river of the revolutionary nation and returning it to its previous direction. The First Imposed War was their most significant action during the first decade of the blessed life of the Islamic Republic.

Since the time of the prophets, nobody of the stature/height of Martyr Nasrallah had risen in the land of the Levant

On this occasion, it is most fitting, on the 2nd anniversary of the martyrdom of the heroic Arab commander and great symbol of the Resistance Front, the esteemed martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

He was someone who sincerely sought the good of his people and his school of thought. His sincere and eloquent speeches, together with his courageous actions, strengthened the hearts of his people and, indeed, of free people around the world.

He was someone who elevated the name of Lebanon, a small country that for years had been treated as the backyard of certain powers, to a position of greatness.

Victory and triumph were his constant companions. And without doubt, throughout the entire history of the Levant up to the present day, after the prophets and their successors, no man of his stature had risen in that ancient land.

Today, his proud banner is in the hands of Sheikh Naim Qassem, may God protect him, who courageously continues along his path at the forefront of Hezbollah’s firm and Ashura-inspired ranks.

The days to which they would like to return our country were days filled with backwardness, humiliation and disgrace.

Dependence and Iran’s disrepute in the Islamic world.

By contrast, the days we are living in now are filled with progress, dignity, independence, and the highest degree of standing in the Islamic world, and indeed throughout the entire world.

Today, some regard us as the 4th superpower in the world. Of course, they say this based on worldly calculations.

But according to divine calculations, a country that considers itself devoted to the Pure Household of the Prophet, whose people are largely attached to those exalted figures, and who are unafraid to uphold the truth, is regarded as the foremost power in the world.

In those days, the 2 seas to Iran’s south were a theater of activity for enemy forces. But today, because of the painful blows they have suffered at the hands of courageous fighters and the defenders of the Strait of Hormuz, they do not advance beyond the Arabian Sea.

Whenever they have taken that risk, they have only brought harm upon themselves.

And the day is near when the Arabian Sea, too, will be emptied of their presence.

This comparison between the days of the past and the present can be expanded upon and explained further.

But in a word, I, as a servant of the dear people of Iran, declare that those former days, which our enemy longs to see return, are gone and will never be repeated.

And of course, I must note with pain and sorrow that in these days, the absence of the great Imam Khomeini and the exalted martyr Khamenei… is deeply felt, for the dignity that our country enjoys today is indebted to their leadership.

Yet, by virtue of the precious legacy they left behind through their actions and their brilliant, guiding words for their followers, the days ahead will be far more glorious than the days we are living through now.

There were days when domineering powers, through psychological operations and by creating an atmosphere of intimidation, emptied the streets of the capital and launched a coup against this nation’s pursuit of independence.

For the following 25 years, they plundered the wealth of this country (Iran).

But today, for 7 months, our fellow citizens have adorned the squares and streets across the country with their responsible and enthusiastic presence, so that the fighters of Islam may be encouraged and the enemy may be filled with fear.

More than 30 million volunteer Iranians have declared their readiness to fight against aggresors . And when, for the purpose of some form of organization, they were called upon once again to register their presence, more than 500,000 people filled the requested capacity within the first 100 minutes alone.

At present, throughout Islamic Iran, enriched by the presence of Iranians from diverse ethnic groups, various declarations of readiness are being made, particularly armed readiness, in order to create a battlefield that will bring them honor and bring disgrace upon their enemy.

There were days when the courage of the people of this land was primarily associated with its men. But today, we are living in a time when women, in some arenas of courageous participation, are outpacing men [Arya: I’m not going to hear the end of this from now on💀]

There were days when the enemy sought constantly to weaken the social base of the system. But today, different segments of society, despite their evident differences, insist on maintaining what they regard as their rightful positions, including preserving the highly beneficial and blessed Strait of Hormoz.

The phoenix that rose from the flames of the First Imposed War has now, under the pressure of the enemy, particularly the 2 most recent imposed wars, grown so immense that the shadow of its flight now falls over the enemy’s own lands.
