The Board of Peace is Failing : Clear and incisive talk at the UN
Do watch Athena Rayburn, Chief Executive of the Association of International Development Agencies, deliver a devastating assessment of Donald Trump’s Board of Peace and its handling of Gaza before the UN.
AIDA represent more than 100 international development and humanitarian NGOs trying to deliver aid to Gaza as Israel’s occupation continues.
She details restrictions on humanitarian aid, blocked medical supplies, and the continued killing of Palestinians under the so-called ceasefire. Rayburn challenges claims that Gaza is improving, arguing that a reduced risk of starvation means little while Palestinians remain at risk of shelling.
“The Board of Peace is failing,” she tells the Council, calling on its members to take responsibility for what is happening under their watch.
