And another perspective on Pakistan – This is a proper perspective in my view.  Pakistan needs Iran (more than what Iran needs Pakistan).  That may clarify some of what we see.

Prof. Marandi is very pragmatic and it is worth while taking time to hear him out.  ‘We can talk, but there is no long term solution in terms of regional security’, unless the countries in the region start doing the right things.  The regimes cannot any longer host US forces, because this is the major threat to Iran.  The small regimes in the region are brittle regimes.  They can cause hardship but it does not change the solutions, which are simple.  The west is irredeemable and Iran can never work with them.

The US cannot even find those that they want to sanction.
