US Conditions Defense of NATO on Fealty to Trump

The Clash Report

Washington has distributed a detailed questionnaire to NATO members to measure their adherence to Donald Trump’s foreign policy and defense procurement demands, conditioning America’s conventional military shield on overt political fealty.

NATO members must now demonstrate political and commercial loyalty to President Donald Trump’s global doctrine.  Ideological alignment will decide on planned reductions to the American defense umbrella in Europe, according to Bloomberg.

Screening for Fealty

Circulated through diplomatic channels in Washington and NATO headquarters in Brussels, the U.S. document probes whether allied capitals have actively endorsed controversial White House initiatives, specifically aimed at finding reactions to recent U.S. operations in the Middle East and Latin America.  NATO must declare and detail any operational constraints placed on American access to sovereign military installations.  The audit is aimed at countries such as Spain that restricted U.S. airfield usage during the unilateral U.S. and Israeli war against Iran, asking pointedly: “Are they willing to reduce or eliminate any such restrictions?”
The audit extends beyond diplomatic backing, probing allied defense budgets and procurement practices to ensure European capital flows toward the American industrial base.

Washington asks whether member states have resisted domestic “made in Europe” regulatory frameworks that restrict contracts for American defense manufacturers.  It asks whether foreign capitals have adhered to the strategic vision of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, asking: “Has the country shown alignment with the U.S. approach to ‘strong, clear, and quiet’?”  (Hegseth Vision is a knucklehead dream consisting of many pushups, as one cannot use Hegseth and Vision in one sentence as a reality.  My language has to be bleeped!)

Imminent Drawdown in Europe

The Clash Report states:  “Allied officials have privately pushed back against the survey, viewing it as an unprecedented effort to coerce transatlantic partners into ideological conformity under the threat of reduced security guarantees.

The demands coincide with the Trump administration’s comprehensive six-month review of its European military posture, scheduled for completion in December.

The expected force posture adjustments include the withdrawal of 5,000 personnel from Germany and a broader curtailment of strategic American enablers, including high-end bombers, unmanned aerial systems, and naval platforms.”

Of course NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte has defended the strategic reassessment in light of rising allied defense outlays.

“It is, I think, bringing NATO closer together,” he told reporters in July. “And having a review regularly, I think, is only wise.”

As we know, the Gulf countries have to reckon with the reality that the promises from the US to be their ultimate protector were only promises and on testing these in the War against Iran, dead letters full of braggadocio.   This reckoning is on the table for NATO countries at the time of their insane warmongering against Russia and NATO incursion in the East.

Although still strong as Berletic legitimately reminds us, the US structure after the 2ndWW is slowly showing its feet of clay.  This is at the time when the resistance is beginning to refuse further acceptance of the US exorbitant privilege in all spheres of planetary life.  If we were tree cutters, we can now start shouting ‘timber’, as she is starting to fall and a mighty crash it will be.
