        Agree. Take the Australian anti covid protests. These were organised by right wing pro USA  or USA funded locals. So many hundreds of thousands turned out that both the backers and the government were spooked.  They clamped down on protesters and not a whisper of the real size of the crowds was to be seen on MSM, huge protests were ongoing for months in the state Victoria.

        At the time the backers were intoxicated with their “success”. However what was really going on was that Aussies of all political persuasions were really pissed off at the draconian lockdown measures taken during covid and with the untested vax itself BUT turns out we were all happy to mask and distance as these are really useful hygiene measures AND we aren’t dumb enough to go from resisting lockdowns to full metal gun rights AND big numbers  didn’t convert over time to the right wing pro gun, pros US pro idiocy agenda that was the intention. Strangely at the next Federal election there was a  huge swing against the right.

        imo there is some kind of zeitgeist when protest crowds get  to the several hundred thousands, maybe human collectivity kicks in at the visceral level?  in any case if the numbers are big enough the outcome is certainly not assured in any manipulated sense. Color revolutions work in small controllable countries where there is already a government in waiting. Yes Oz is small enough to coup but not this way, we have deep anti empire yearnings and socialist sensibilities that don’t often get a chance to shine.

        All these very lame backers are still trying to rally the troops on social media here, but they are truly embarrassing themselves at this point.

        We now have a majority labor (sort of lefty but not really)government that is equally deluded that getting a majority means we trust them. I don’t believe this is true and there is far more change to come in this country.

        I don’t believe Trump. I believe the weapons are going to flow — to NATO.  So, if we look at who is NATO . who are the member countries, of course the US is one.  So, this is like supplying weapons to yourself only to use them and to say the other guy did it.

          I am not sanguine at all. He may still pretend to be a circus master, and keep to the silly schtick and mannerisms, but October 22 will go down in History.       It’s getting on to 5 or 6 am in moscow just now, and it’s reasonable to expect that midnight meetings took place in Kremlin. At some point the polarity, so to say, will reverse. It always has done. The nazis will get their wish, and they probably will wish they hadn’t.

          Bless the farmers… I like the smell myself. The Summers I got to do Kansas farm work were wonderful. Anoxia has ranchers that raise cow-calf and range cattle. Everything for them is expensive. And the wolves now make things even more expensive. For us poor people beef is a memory.

      Now we wait but it will be very interesting to see who makes this comment. Usually Peskov’s comments are available early in my morning and by this time, they are posted up already if there is interesting commentary. Today, nothing yet. Clearly there are discussions in the Kremlin as to how to respond.
