SNAKE COMPANY? Ukraine deploys new foreign mercenary unit
Russian Telegram-channels report about a new Portuguese-Brazilian mercenary unit operating within Ukraine’s 3rd Assault Brigade (largely composed of Azov fighters).
Dubbed the “Snake Company”, these foreign fighters—many with combat experience—are increasingly spotted near Krasnoarmeysk and Chasov Yar.
➡️This comes after Ukraine’s decision earlier this year to legalize foreign recruitment for the Ukrainian military.
➡️While unofficial mercenary recruitment was already happening through embassies and private scouts, the new policy allows “legally” transporting & contracting foreign fighters to bolster frontline forces.
