Hamas in a Message to the Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh

On Oct. 30, Saudi Arabia called for a joint Arab-Islamic follow-up summit in its capital Riyadh on Nov. 11 to address the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestinian territories and Lebanon, as well as the current developments in the region.

Palestinian resistance group Hamas on Saturday called on the next week’s joint Arab-Islamic follow-up summit to take responsibility for the occupied city of Jerusalem, which is undergoing a “systematic Israeli judaization campaign.”

“It is time for the Islamic nations to fulfill their religious and political duties towards the holy city, which is facing an extensive judaization campaign by the Israeli occupying government,” Hamas political bureau member Haroun Nasser al-Din said in a statement.

The official emphasized that Islamic countries “possess the necessary resources to exert pressure on global powers to curb Israel’s occupation and halt its crimes against the Palestinian people and Islamic sanctities.”

He also stressed the importance of “implementing the resolutions from previous Islamic summits,” which rejected any changes to the status of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Underlining the escalating attacks by illegal settlers on Al-Aqsa Mosque and demolitions in Jerusalem, particularly in the Silwan neighborhood, he said the Israeli occupation continues to assert full control over the holy city.

Hamas Calls for the Formation of an International Arab-Islamic Alliance to End the War of Extermination in Gaza and Lebanon

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has called on the kings, presidents, and leaders attending the joint Arab-Islamic follow-up summit, scheduled to be held tomorrow in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to form an international Arab-Islamic alliance to pressure the occupation and its supporters to stop the war of genocide in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

In a message submitted to the summit, Hamas called for this alliance to also work on breaking the siege on Gaza, withdrawing from occupied territories, enabling the Palestinian people to exercise their right to self-determination, establishing an independent and fully sovereign Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital, and ensuring the return of Palestinian refugees to their towns and villages from which they were displaced.

Hamas reiterated its position of positively engaging with any proposals and ideas that guarantee the cessation of aggression, the withdrawal of the occupation from Gaza, the return of displaced persons, the relief of our people, the breaking of the siege, the reconstruction, and the completion of a genuine prisoner exchange deal. The key to this lies in returning to the July 2 agreement and implementing UN Security Council Resolution 2735.

Hamas called on all states and entities to work individually and collectively to develop plans and take the necessary measures to provide relief to the residents of the Gaza Strip and to supply them with shelter essentials, especially as winter approaches.

Hamas urged all Arab and Islamic countries to boycott the occupation, cancel all normalization agreements signed with it, and work to isolate the occupation by all possible means.

The movement also called for legal action against the enemy, its government, and its leadership in all international forums, and for the pursuit of its individuals in courts of the countries whose citizenship they hold or that they visit.

Hamas warned in its message to the Arab-Islamic summit that the war of extermination has now surpassed its 400th day, emphasizing the outcomes of the previous summit held on November 11, 2023, and its resolutions to launch an international movement to stop the war on Gaza, break the siege, and collectively resist any attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their land.

The OIC is even more irrelevant than the UN, WTO, ICJ, or current international law. Another appendage of the moribund Pax America, managed by kept GCC concubines. Its worth is actually less than zero, being a time waster. Hamas is forced to appeal to any and all, in order to… Read more »
