Attacks on Syria: The plot thickens toward a possible darker scenario (update)
A protester throws a rock towards a Turkish truck during protests against Turkey in al-Bab, northern Syria, on July 1
Vanessa Beely writes:
“Update:
This dawn, Syrian air defenses confronted hostile targets off the coast of Jableh city in the Lattakia countryside (Northwestern Syria). One of the missiles fell on the city’s outskirts, leading to a big fire outbreak.
Firefighting teams rushed to the place and managed to control the fire after a few hours
And we have three possible scenarios here;
Either it was an Israeli aggression or a drone attack carried out by terrorists in the northwest Syria.
Vanessa considers two possibilities and it does look like the regular zionist attacks on Syria, only now against the backdrop to the war, but, the plot thickens:
A while ago, information was available about the arrival of foreign experts to Idlib, including Ukraine officers, with quantities of advanced drones, with the aim of carrying out attacks on Syrian and Russian sites.
We have confirmation that 4 Ukrainian Intelligence officers entered Syria from Attmah and met with Al-Jolani and agreed with him to send advanced drones in exchange for sending mercenaries to fight in Ukraine against Russia.
So there is a possibility that the terrorists were behind the attack at dawn today on Jableh, and it is also possible that the attacks were joint with the Israeli enemy.
Several months ago, Israel also carried out attacks on Aleppo by crossing Jordanian airspace and infiltrating the Syrian airspace over the desert and these attacks were coordinated and completed with drone attacks launched from Idlib towards Aleppo.
Also Israel has been launching lately complex wide-scale aggressions on Syria using both missiles and drones. So we still cannot confirm, but according to reports from the location, there were many explosions which indicate that either many war jets took part in this aggression or it was coordinated between Israel and the terrorists, or it was a massive unprecedented terrorist drone attack.
In either case, this evidences the high coordination between Israel and Al-Qaeda terrorists in Idlib
Do we have another front being opened against Russia?
Both Syrian and Russian air defenses took part in the Interception today and shot down dozens of the hostile targets, using various short and medium-range air defense systems, Pantsir-S1, BUK-M2.
The attack is considered the largest so far and was carried out in successive waves of missiles and drones. It lasted from approximately 04:00 until 05:50 with more than 60 reported interceptions.
Similar attacks have taken place before like on September 8 when Israel attacked Messyaf and again about two weeks ago off Tartous coast but it was a terrorist attack, then about three days ago when Israel attacked Damascus at night in the same manner but on a smaller scale.
Vanessa’s take is that it is highly likely the terrorists of Idlib ”
Those are the optics today, but only if you don’t ask the question: “Who is the hand behind the terrorists of Idlib?” Is it the one hand that we all know, zionists in close coordination with the US? or is there a darker scenario unfolding?
We remember when Russia announced in 2015 that it had agreed with Syria to assist in protection and military support. At that time it was against the terrorist factions and the Free Syrian Army. Literally hours later Russian planes were landing in Syria. It was a breathtaking moment in terms of speed and of course in terms of understanding why Russia did this. It appeared at the time that Russia did not really want to do this, they did not really support the Syrian cause and protectively did this, more for Russia itself, than for Syria.
And so the years went by. Each time the zionists decided to strike Syria, the Russians were there to help protect and repel zion drones and missiles. And so it was this morning. Russia did its work.
It may not have been planned this way by the hegemonic forces, but now the front is open. I would venture a guess that we will see more attacks on Syria and eventually a larger Russian military force stationed. If the attempts to draw Iran into this war are so insistent and persistent, I can see an opening for the hegemon to either hit two birds with one stone, or to give the Ukies another outlet to attack Russia. And so Russia may be drawn into this zionist insane war, against their wishes and their will.
Was a Russian base hit this morning? We don’t know. Kevork Almassian believes there was a strike and he writes:
Israel’s recent large-scale military aggression on the Syrian coast near the city of Jableh could mark a significant turning point in the ongoing regional conflict. This attack followed a meeting on Wednesday between Alexander Lavrentiev, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Special Envoy on Syria, and Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC). During the talks, Lavrentiev expressed hope that Israel would heed Iran’s warnings.
Israel appears to have interpreted this meeting, along with Lavrentiev’s statements, as tacit Russian approval of Iran’s retaliatory actions. Consequently, Israel targeted warehouses of the Russian forces. This likely explains the joint response from Syrian and Russian air defenses, marking a departure from previous Israeli strikes, where Russia had refrained from direct involvement in the defense effort.
Following the conclusion of the attack at 5:50 AM, a Russian air patrol was observed over Latakia.
The Israeli strike on a Russian facility in Syria is a serious escalation. Netanyahu’s actions suggest he is no longer solely confronting the “Axis of Resistance” but is also risking Russian interests. Should Moscow choose to respond, it could dramatically alter the balance of power in the region.
It is a beautiful opportunity for the hegemon. It is their type of war. They cannot get over their loss in Syria. They have the Idlib terrorists in Syria to blame and give them diplomatic cover, so they can pretend their hands are clean, Ukrainian destabilizers are already on site flowing the weapons, and a larger war can be ginned up. It is their opportunity to extend the Ukrainian SMO, which will have to be classified as a war. Turkey can be drawn in. There are already protests against Turkey in Syria.
This future looks bleak, not because Russia cannot defend, they can of course. But because of the clear opportunity to extend the carnage a little more. Slicing the salami, they call it. Israeli attack near strategic airbase
I’ve long been of the view that Lebanon should ask for help from Russia, perhaps a similar agreement that they have with Syria. This news is just out: Lebanon’s ambassador to Russia: “Lebanon has requested diplomatic assistance from Russia in resolving the conflict in the Middle East, and Moscow is already making “many calls” around the world.”
Just out:

The al Nusra/ISIS terrorists of Idlib are free to contract with whoever needs their fighters. Ukraine has had some go to Ukraine. This may now be more of that. Particularly since the SMO for the West is shifting into a terror war against civilian areas along the front three districts… Read more »
