Medvedev unplugged

Dmitry Medvedev:

“This Swiss “livestock yard” is pure surrealism. Kafka and Orwell nervously smoke on the sidelines. None of the participants of this “peace forum” know what they are doing there or what their role is. After all, for the “resolution of conflict,” the cunning Swiss shepherds have only invited trusted animals: a swaggering, sexually aroused mad little boar with his constant companion, a herd of blissfully bleating dim-witted Western Alpine sheep dreaming about peace, and a pack of European guard dogs to protect the herd. The dogs bark, spitting poisoned saliva in all directions, and maintain order. And it’s necessary to watch over them: the sheep often bleat aimlessly and get tangled up in rehearsed formulas. Invisibly at the head of the flock is an elderly mentally feeble owner, long disconnected from reality, who constantly freezes while staring into the sky with a detachedly idiotic expression on his face. His family didn’t let him go due to advancing dementia, sending a deputy into the mountains instead, who appeared briefly on the green lawn, recited a rehearsed phrase, and quickly bolted home.

In general, Alpine livestock grazing is just dismal crap, ruthlessly burning through the taxpayers’ money.

Or, as Schwonder used to say, “it’s some kind of disgrace”…”
