SPIEF 2024 is on!

Last year this event was exemplary and a spectacular success. Not only a business gathering but also a gathering of all like-minded.

This is my favorite business conference as it is the underpinnings of the creation of multipolarity.  How can it be otherwise?  Take a look at the main theme:

The forum’s main theme is The Foundations of a Multipolar World – the Formation of New Areas of Growth. Participants will discuss how government, business, and society can work together to ensure countries’ sustainable development in line with their national priorities.   This is just exactly what we discussed under the recently posted BRICS heading.  So, if we feel BRICS has lost some steam, it will be picked up here.

The SPIEF 2024’s business program consists of four thematic tracks:

  • “Transition to a Multipolar World Economy”,
  • “Goals and Objectives of Russia’s New Economic Cycle”,
  • “Technologies for Leadership”, and
  • “A Healthy Society, Traditional Values, and Social Development: the Priority of the State”.

This is balanced and as we saw in Putin and Xi’s 8,000 word document after their recent summit, the balance between economics and life is maintained.

18,600 people from 139 countries and territories, including Russia, confirmed participation in SPIEF 2024.  This is back at pre-COVID levels.  The biggest surprise of course is that the Taliban’s government delegation from Afghanistan will also take part in the event.  There will be many special tracks for example for Africa, Latin America, and the Caucasus.

In what could be the basis of our future World Games and take over from the Olympics, Spief Games are in full swing.  Belarusian Alexey Shnyrko won the first stage of the multi-day cycling race “Ladoga Gold,” while Team “Akhmat” became the winner of the Igor Chentsov Regatta.  ⚽️ Today the traditional football match will take place. The SPIEF team will play against the Russian Media Team at the Petrovsky Stadium. The SPIEF team will feature politicians, businessmen, and legends of Russian football on the field.  The sporting program is packed:  https://forumspb.com/en/meropriyatiya-pmef/sporting-programme/

🍇 A little wine never goes amiss.   The Business program of the VinoGrad platform at SPIEF presented the leading industry experts — winemakers, grape growers, distributors, representatives of the restaurant market and retail — to discuss the following issues:

🍇 the possibility of Russia becoming a leading wine-producing power;
🍇 measures to support domestic winemaking;
🍇 competitiveness of Russian wine;
🍇 the connection between wine, gastronomy, and the entertainment industry;
🍇 the culture of wine consumption, etc.
