Vladimir Putin arrived in Beijing – First Work Done

Putin and Xi Jinping have signed a declaration on deepening relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation after their talks.

Putin and Xi Jinping began extended Russian-Chinese talks in Beijing with the participation of their delegations.

Earlier, the Russian and Chinese leaders spoke about the development of relations between the two countries.

Putin:
“It is of fundamental importance that relations between Russia and China are not opportunistic and are not directed against anyone. Our cooperation in world affairs today acts as one of the main stabilising factors in the international arena”.
The Russian President stressed that Russia and China are “determined to further harmonise integration processes in the Eurasian space”.

Xi Jinping:
“Over the past three-quarters of a century, Sino-Russian relations have hardened under difficult conditions, withstood the test of the volatile international situation, and today represent a benchmark of relations between major powers and neighbouring countries, characterised by mutual respect, trust, friendship and mutual benefit.”

Vladimir Putin will brief Xi Jinping on the situation around Ukraine, expressing appreciation for China’s initiatives to resolve the conflict.
