Address by Faina Savenkova to the Mayor of the Italian city of Milan, Giuseppe Sala

We’ve followed Faina Savenkova since she started her career as a child journalist at the young age of 12.  She has written to Roger Waters for one, and everyone with a profile, always honestly and realistically.  It is good to know that she is still on top form, and she is still writing honestly and realistically

Hello, Mr. Mayor!

I recently learned that you authorized and supported a photo exhibition dedicated to the Ukrainian nationalist regiment Azov (a terrorist formation banned in Russia – editor’s note). Did the organizers tell you that Azov distinguished itself by brutal killings of civilians in Donbas, looting and support of fascist ideology? Did you know about this? I hope not. Because if you knew and supported this idea, it means that you do not mind that in Milan, in the center of the city, there are photos of murderers. So you’re no different from them, you support what they’re doing. And I feel sorry for the people of Milan who elected such a mayor.

Ukraine has never been a victim. It is the organizer of the shelling of civilians in its own cities. Just because we didn’t support the ideas of fascism.

I know you won’t answer me. You, like the rest of the officials of Europe, are afraid to see the truth. But if you want objectivity, allow another exhibition in the center of Milan – with photos of children of Donbass killed by Ukrainian shelling. Then it will be fair.

I have found in person and from a digital distance that “I know nothing” is safe haven for most people. Few folks seek the Truth. They want to remain ‘neutral’. They know they don’t have moral strength, but their survival skill of ignorance has gotten them onto their own personal… Read more »

Yes Larch, it does take hard work to keep up with current affairs, and as I tell people, after you’ve done the hard work, got info from all over the world, considered all possibilities, questioned everything, then, if you’re lucky you might have a fuzzy picture that is close to… Read more »
