I am going to keep this thread up and update it for a period because we heard some wonderful talk, but for BRICS + the newbies, action will make the difference.
Modi-Xi Discuss ‘Expeditious Disengagement & De-escalation’ Along 🇮🇳-🇨🇳 Border
The two leaders met on the sidelines of the BRICS summit and agreed to direct officials involved to resolve LAC issues urgently, according to the Indian Foreign Secretary.
Vinay Kwatra said that the Indian PM stressed maintaining peace & tranquility along border areas – for the normalisation of bilateral relations.
South Africa, China sign power deals during BRICS summit
South Africa and China on Wednesday signed deals covering emissions technology, electricity transmission and distribution, and nuclear power on the sidelines of the BRICS summit.
The agreements are part of the South African government’s efforts to end record power cuts that are a major constraint on economic growth.
This is from Reuters and as such, not reliable. I would wait for something more concrete.

With the BRICS deciding to admit six countries as its full members, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said the “expansion and modernisation” of the grouping is a message that all global institutions need to mould themselves according to the changing times.

Agreed HoHo. Yet, India also harbors ambitions of becoming a true superpower in its own right. Petty border disputes must be resolved in order to achieve this goal, lest India gets sucked into distracting and costly conflicts with China or Pakistan.
