SCO is meeting

The expectations of this SCO summit are high.  The member states of this major security and trade organization represents 42% of the world population and 25% of GDP.

Iran has been accepted as permanent member and so has Belarus. For Iran, this will mean that even the remnants of the US regime of sanctions can now be shaken off and it allows Iran to enter into its fair place in the world.

The focus of this summit most clearly is “interaction between SCO member states in the field of international security; economic cooperation issues; and the development of the cultural and educational area.” But that is diplo language.  What is really going on?

Hot is security, de-dollarization, and using local currencies.

SCO is a high-level meeting with decision-making power seated in The Council of Heads of State.

Members are (the images are not yet updated with Belarus and Iran)

The two most important geopolitical statements so far, and there were many important statements, come from India first and Belarus second.

Prime Minister Modi stated in his keynote and opening speech, that SCO will be as important as the UN. Read between the lines!  The UN now has competition for the attention and work of a global nature.

President Lukashenko decided to go one better in terms of what is described as the ‘global billion’, and stretched his hands toward the ‘global globe’. Belarus Backs Integration in SCO & BRICS.

Can you see the size of the integration of the new world structures grow?  The reporter from RT announced with joy: “We now live in a multipolar world”.

Following are the first out summaries of the addresses of the Presidents and Leaders and we will hear more from SCO in the next few days.

Prime Minister Modi

📍India will suggest a programme of reforms, improve cooperation for youth groups among countries
📍To lift language barriers India will propose platform to improve relations
📍Focus organisation to include central Asian states
📍SCO must act decisively against terrorism – no double standards
📍People of Afghanistan must be helped through inclusive dialogue
📍Iran will help develop international transport corridor

President Ibrahim Raisi

Iran says its full membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) will enhance trade and constructive relations with other members. Iran backs SCO Trade in National Currencies to Break Hegemony of West & Dollar

President Xi

China Proposes Ditching Dollar, Standing Firm Against “Colour Revolutions” & Resisting Unilateral Economic Sanctions

President Putin

Russia Supports New Delhi Declaration on Further Developing SCO Ties, as Geopolitics Becomes More Acute. The International Security System is in crisis and SCO Gives Hope for Peace & Stability. He stressed that SCO adheres to the principles for a multipolar world.

📍External forces have put Russia’s security at threat by unleashing hybrid war against Russia and Russians in Ukraine
📍SCO makes contributions to peace
📍Expect trade within SCO group to grow and use national currencies – 80% of 🇷🇺-🇨🇳 trade done in rubles and yuan
📍Russia backs SCO cooperation in banking, digitalisation, high-tech & agriculture
📍Bloc must counter terrorism, extremism & crime
📍Putin invites SCO nations to athletics events & youth festival in Russia this year
📍Welcomes Iran & Belarus to SCO

Most importantly: More than 80% of trade between Russia and China is conducted in roubles and yuan.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres (not a member, only a guest) tried his best to impose a Western talking point: SCO Needs to Strengthen its Cooperation to Counter Climate Change.

Within a few hours we should have the SCO New Delhi Declaration available and I’ll post it here.

Download here please.  It is titled NEW DELHI DECLARATION OF THE COUNCIL OF HEADS OF STATE OF SHANGHAI COOPERATION ORGANIZATION

The tragic lessons that India was subject to in the past seem to be somewhat lost on little Mr Modi. Clearly, these included the deployment of public utility banking as well as the vital importance of holding onto financial sovereignty. OK, maybe he is trying to maximise his position by… Read more »

Readin Ellen Brown convinced me that the probably the best banking system would be one where citizens were allowed to create their own credit. To begin with at a subsistence rate but as time passed and they began to pay sufficient in to their account, such that a transaction fee… Read more »

Devastating critique of India’s role in SCO by MKB… its wish to ride the two horses of Unipolarity & Multipolarity at once, and historical rivalry with neighbors Pakistan & China, are leading to its isolation within SCO. “the SCO member countries are embracing great connectivity projects that bypass India due to its intractable differences… Read more »

We don’t know the details, being outsiders.. even MKB is left dangling in the wind, frustrated and trying to divine and cajole sense into the current party in charge.  I suspect the current crew is trying to be too cute. They are committed to multipolarity (and know the huge Indian intelligentsia… Read more »

We live in momentous times. The New United Nations is forming, from the the ground up, freely, democratically — willing nation joining other willing nations — unlike the Old United Nations dominated, manipulated by the US. Wuth his crown slipping away, all that useless idiot of an UN Chief could… Read more »
