Now for something completely different: AI in politics
AI is taking over, the good side (if there is one) and the bad (and there definitively is one).
This is a 24-hour non-stop AI presentation of Trump and Biden debating with one another and debating randomly with audience comments. None of it is true or real, or does it display the dark underside?
First the warning! The language is not appropriate for the dinner table. You probably will not survive for longer than 5 minutes, but somehow it is very funny. There are also ad streams and that is a question of waiting patiently until five or so ads are streamed. Sound is turned off by default, so you have to click to turn on the sound. The content of the conversation (if one can call it that) remains new, as this AI teaches itself continuously via comments.
Honestly, this is falling into deep doodoo, but it is doodoo that one must know about in the AI era. You can bet that people will sit and watch this for hours. Comedy, real comedians should look for other jobs as AI will take over the comedy sphere. There will be people that consider these real debates.

Thanks very kindly dear amarynth. I began to look, and did not listen. It seems to me that AI makes perception of truth in most of the human arena, dissolve. So? What’s left? People telling stories ’round a campfire, and slowly getting mildly drunk…they can know, in the social sense…all… Read more »
Think I survived around two. There probably will not be debates next summer if for no other reason that political debates will have sunk to that intellectual level by then.
Speaking of the bad side of AI, I read this article about conversations with ‘sentient’ AI recently. It dates from Feb ’23 and is a long read, but reports on some of the darker sides of AI Chat ‘personalities’. Disclaimer: Reader discretion is advised if one finds the idea of… Read more »
Addendum: what’s ‘impressive’ / concerning here is the accuracy of their voices. Presuming developers can make further improvements in the field of making voices, faces, hands (notoriously difficult) and bodies more authentic, the danger here is that they can make an AI clone of, say, Mr Putin or Budanov. They… Read more »
If these guys continue with developing their AI app, you will see it improve markedly. This one I think is the first version thrown together and they will now refine it.
Thanks Amarynth. What has been seen cannot be unseen lol. But you did warn 🙂 I gave it about two minutes and was just waiting to see how the Donald would sound. I’m going to presume the AI generated both their words and audience comments. If that’s the case, then… Read more »
