We’ve been very critical on China still trading with Israel and not only China. At the time and looking at the numbers, this trade could have seriously affected the financial ability to continue decimating the Palestinians.  There may have been a light at the end of the tunnel that we did not know about.  Apparently, if we read between the lines, China prohibited new investment in Israel, and this has been active since the ‘war’ started. (It is not a war, it is a genocide).

Chinese government prohibits new investments in Israel

A legal dispute in Israel has revealed a dramatic policy shift by the Chinese government, according to a report (https://t.me/PressTVhebrew/547) by @PresstvHebrew. The conflict over control of the company “Hanita Lenses” exposed that China now prohibits making new investments in Israel.

The finding emerged from a lawsuit filed by Kibbutz Hanita against the Chinese investment fund Ballet Vision, which holds 80% of the company’s shares. The kibbutz is demanding the fund exercise an option to purchase its remaining 20% stake for $11 million.

In response, the Chinese fund claimed a “substantial external restriction” prevents the purchase. Rachel Liu, a fund director and CEO of “Hanita Lenses,” explicitly stated: “Since the outbreak of the ‘war’, the Chinese government has classified Israel as a high-risk area (red category) and prohibits any new Chinese investment in the country.” She added that until the restriction is lifted, the transaction is not feasible.

Francesca Albanese in her previous report citing businesses doing trade with Israel, named only one Chinese company.  She has insisted that countries stop trade.

There’s no formal Chinese government regulation or announcement confirming a blanket prohibition has been issued so far. OTOH, China has been maintaining robust trade with Israel and avoids direct challenge to Zionist policy throughout the genocide, till now. For ex, EVs from companies like Geely gained noticeable market share in… Read more »

And I appreciate you calling out China on these issues, all the more so when you’re otherwise an ardent supporter (for good reasons) of China’s positive achievements and cultural… Read more »
