The FIFA world cup (US games) is being boycotted – watchlist

People will travel to Mexico, or to Canada, but the US games are being boycotted.  It is not hard to see why.  For a visa, one has to give up 5 years of social media history, visas for a number of ‘brown’ countries are not available and the chaos in the streets with people being killed by ICE and Border Patrol does not create a welcoming atmosphere.

This is still an individual boycott, although it is growing and fans are calling on their teams to boycott. I expect teams to start refusing to play in the US.  Germany has just tabled a US World Cup boycott over Greenland but they are not important and one growl of Trump will make them shivver.

What FIFA will do is not known at this time, given that they mocked up a peace prize to keep Trump quiet.

The above tweet is viral, despite that it has no real facts as to cancellations. It was reposted by Chen Weihua, which shows that China is informed regarding this boycott.
