Venezuela awakens global change in consciousness

The US – a country where guns are sold at Walmart – has just kidnapped the president of a sovereign nation and head of the military.  Part of the charge, his wrongdoing – “possession of machineguns.”

We see proud videos of proud US men in uniform moving Maduro along in a perp walk of ankle chains and handcuffs.  Only last week, he danced with his people during the holidays.  Shades of the evergreen story of Spartacus shine through.

Which principle of international law and the UN Charter permits one sovereign country to conduct an extraordinary rendition of the sitting head of the government of another sovereign country under the cover of shock and awe airstrikes on a high-density civilian centre?

In Venezuela, a television host AIRS 20 HOURS STRAIGHT to reassure citizens that they are not alone’ despite the extraordinary rendition of their president.

A crumbling post-World War order is visible!

In the US (aka Barbaria), it is movie time.  The US will ‘dictate’ Venezuela’s future after Maduro’s capture — Hegseth

Secretary of War Crimes Pete Hegseth stated that President Trump will determine Venezuela’s path forward.  Hegseth said the US will temporarily “run” Venezuela to ensure “the drugs stop flowing” and “the oil that was taken from us is returned.”  “Ultimately, we’re going to control what happens next because of this brave decision,” he concluded.

No, this is not over.  Venezuela’s 28 million people will not be kidnapped as well.

American flags are ablaze with fire as thousands of protesters gather in Paris, in Athens, in New York, Barcelona, London, Caracas, Chicago, Buenos Aires, San Francisco, Turkey, Greece, Germany, France, Italy, and even in Costa Rica – that bastion of imperial support –  demanding the immediate release of kidnapped Venezuelan President Maduro.

The cry: Trump Trump USA! The Biggest Threat in the World Today!

In Mexico, the US embassy is being pounded and pelted with eggs.  Vucic convened an emergency meeting of the Serbian Security Council due to “unprecedented crimes” worldwide, according to the newspaper “Evening News”.

The people of the world suddenly realized that the older threats, Greenland, the Panama Canal, and the latest threats, Mexico, Colombia, Cuba, and Iran, are not the rantings of the demented, but real and present danger, and this empire wants to grow.   You and me, babe, may be in the path of that growth by Shock ‘n Awe, Sanctions games*, or replays of Iraq and Afghanistan scenes.  The London protestors say:  ‘They will do the same to ANYONE WHO CHALLENGES IMPERIALIST INTERESTS’.

Something happened in consciousness, and the pieces fell into place for humanity.

Russia called for the immediate release of Maduro and his wife.

China called for the immediate release of Maduro and his wife, and is running copious articles where the CIA features prominently.  https://www.globaltimes.cn//special-coverage/Situation-in-Venezuela-Timeline.html

In Global Times, arguably the most significant English-language media outlet in China, the five most-viewed articles are all on Venezuela.

This is one of the first commentaries out of China:

Maduro, disdainfully and disrespectfully called ‘the Busdriver’ in Barbaria, not taking into account his hard education in many years of management in the harsh environment of labor unions and eventually a victory for the Bolivarian Republic (socialism with Latin American characteristics), caused something to shift in the collective consciousness.   Venezuela, not as spectacularly as Russia, overcame sanctions and this was enough for Barbaria.  They cannot abide a good example, and they cannot abide those countries that support Iran, the Palestinians, and do not support the current holocaust.  (We cannot use the G word any longer, as fierce internet crawlers look for that word and attack us.  Delcy Rodríguez, in her first speech after being confirmed by the Venezuelan Supreme Court as Interim President, noted that this strike is a Zionist strike.  No, we are not dreaming about this issue.    ‘Implications here are really great for the Israeli-Venezuelan people’ — US General Jack Keane.

In Venezuela, the dead and injured are being counted.  The NYT reported that 40 were killed in the US attack on Venezuela, including civilians.  This is a NYT number.  They leave out the injuries.  This number is from one hospital only.  Another hospital reported 30 injuries, but has not reported deaths yet.   The number of Venezuelans killed is not clear at this time.

Changes up to the present:

UN Security Council (FWIW) will hold an emergency meeting on the US-Venezuela aggression on Monday.  (I don’t see any notification of a BRICS gathering, not even online.)

  • Delcy Rodriques was appointed as Interim President.  Elections must be held within 30 days under Venezuela’s constitution.  She led the emergency response, flanked by her brother Jorge Rodríguez, President of the National Assembly. Both are the children of Jorge Antonio Rodríguez, a Marxist guerrilla and founder of the Socialist League, who was killed by the state in 1976.
  • Gen. Vladimir Padrino López — Defense Minister since October 2014, making him the longest-serving in that role. He currently carries a $15 million U.S. bounty.
  • Gen. Domingo Hernández Lárez — Commander of CEOFANB (Strategic Operational Command) since 2021, the highest operational military post, overseeing coordination of all armed forces.
  • Caryslia Rodríguez — President of the Supreme Court (TSJ) since January 2024. A former PSUV municipal politician and interim mayor of Caracas, she validated Maduro’s 2024 election victory on August 22 when the majority believed it was stolen from Machado.

All of them have remained loyal to Nicolás Maduro throughout his tenure, and most—if not all—are ideologically aligned with Chavismo, also known as 21st-century socialism.  Some are considered to be more extreme than Maduro had been.

Be highly sceptical of anything coming from the Trump administration or anonymous CIA sources. They have kidnapped the leader, but the Venezuelan government is still in place.   Barbaria is pushing the idea that Washington is now running Venezuela (with the consent of the Chavista government, the paper-thin veneer currently being plastered), and they are doing all kinds of wheelies to try to force consent and create better optics.  They will not get it.

Rubio:  We’re going to make decisions based on their actions and their deeds in the days and weeks to come.  We think they’re going to have some unique and historic opportunities to do a great service for the country, and we hope that they’ll accept that opportunity.

This is rich!  The US could have bought Venezuelan oil to the last drop.  They did not want to pay, which is a significant indicator of flat-out imperialism, colonialism and fascism.

‘Trump’s raid on Caracas will drive even more countries away from the Western system’

The US knows that they have broken every law on the books – local and international.   Secretary of State Marco Rubio told NYT that he is withholding judgment on remarks by Venezuelan Interim President Delcy Rodríguez denying plans to work with Washington.  Delcy says Venezuela will not become a colony of the US.

There is a small joy here.  Never take away Trump’s Peace Prize.  Corina Machado, the Peace Prize Winner, who thought she would be appointed president and wanted to move the Venezuelan Israeli Embassy to Jerusalem immediately and give the country over to the US, is out.  Trump kicked her out. She did not pay attention to the old truism: Being America’s friend is deadly. But does carry a certain satisfaction if Barbaria kicks out Barbaria.

The current government is then mostly intact.  Trump already announced that Delcy Rodríguez “will do what we want, she will make Venezuela great again.  All I can say is that he does not know Delcy.

Wall Street is already at the ready. About 20 business leaders, including those from some of the top hedge funds and asset managers, are preparing to go on a March trip to Venezuela to look at investment opportunities there, including energy and infrastructure

Reporter: Is it possible that the U.S. ends up administering Venezuela for years? Trump: Well, you know, it won’t cost us anything, because the money coming out of the ground is very substantial.

Next, ‘Somaliland’, if they can keep their new territory.  This man with his uniform cannot run a lemonade stand.  Another resistance has been awakened, and whatever the barbarians try, it will result in Vietnamese or Iraq type resistance.

Two burning questions remain in the internet sphere.

-Why was there no defense?  That is easy.  The attack lasted 30 minutes, and the perps left when the first Venezuelan jets were still idling on the runway. Yet, the defense had started. Take a look:

“The US forces wanted to establish a base in one of our units in Caracas, we fought, opened fire and got the helicopter to leave without taking the military unit”. Venezuelan soldiers reveal that the US attempted to establish a beachhead in Caracas, an operational base for a ground invasion but the Venezuelan Army repelled the attack. It is possible that the Amrikkans wanted to capture more leaders and their plans were thwarted by the Bolivarian resistance forces. [ Source: Daniel Mayakovski on X]

-How could it have been so easy to nab Maduro and his wife?  Many theories abound, the most probable being that a young flunkey sold out and began a love affair with the CIA.

Ritter has a theory in which the promise of sanctions removal is used to grease the path toward a promised future, peaceful state.  It is an interesting theory, as he ties this up to the attack on Putin’s residence recently and the grave threats against Iran.

There is one more question. What agreements did the Chinese Special Envoy have in his hands for Mauro and the Venezuelan administration to sign, the very next day of the visit? Scant attention has been paid to this although it was reported that there were a substantial number of ready and already negotiated agreements on the table.

Now we wait to see how resolute and resilient the LAC region will be in the face of naked imperialism.  Medvedev believes that everyone deserves to own a nuke or two to convince the imperialists to stay within their own borders.  At this very early stage, a new front for the resistance has opened, and we will hear more about this plucky resistance.  As the imperial forces try to stick a larger empire together, so the resistance is coalescing.

UPDATE: This morning Narco Rubio still announced that the US will administer Venezuela. Now, even that has changed. Secretary of State Marco Rubio suggested Sunday that the United States would not take a day-to-day role in governing Venezuela other than enforcing an existing “oil quarantine” on the country, a turnaround after President Donald Trump announced a day earlier that the U.S. would be running Venezuela following its ouster of leader Nicolás Maduro.

UPDATE: A large part of Maduro’s security team was killed in the US attacks yesterday, according to Venezuela’s Defense Minister and de facto ruler General Padrino Lopez

This vain Hollywood show is supposed to suggest that the empire is still great. In the end, the whole show is staged. Who knows?  The decisive factor is the people of Venezuela, who will not allow themselves to be sold out. That is what this is all about. The banking… Read more »

I’ve been reading the comments by many US. Americans, some of whom are delighted about this naked imperialism, while some others try to appear neutral but actually are just complacent idiots.

No Amarynth. I’ve seen how he thinks about US intervention on Smoothiex12 blog. He doesn’t give a damn about his country destroying other sovereign countries. Btw, there’s no such thing as MAGA. As you can see for yourself, the FUSA’s vision of MAGA is anything but imperialism draped with words… Read more »

It’s hell being a boomer in Roaring 20’s Empire. One expected to be First Class on the upward curve. One gets Liquidator Donnie, AFTER the iceberg…..

BTW, such eras make for top artists. My fav painter Goya died in 1820s Spain. Dark stuff for dark times

Yeah. MAGA has totally exposed themselves as a complete political deception–from top to bottom. MAGA is not opposed to American wars of aggression. They just want their own preferred Republican-chosen wars of aggression, as opposed to Democrat-chosen wars of aggression. MAGA is not “fighting the Deep State” or “draining the… Read more »

“Maduro, disdainfully and disrespectfully called ‘the Busdriver’ in Barbaria … caused something to shift in the collective consciousness. ”

Precisely: he’s such a harmless and beloved street-dancing teddy bear, that the world sees it as mugging a child.

Yesterday the shameful Yanquis crossed the Rubicon and made a fatal mistake.
