‼️ The US Strikes Venezuela 2

[Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez has been inaugurated as President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.  A while ago, she made a statement on TV saying that Venezuela would never accept being a ‘colony of any imperial power’.]

‼️ The US Strikes Venezuela 1

We ended the previous thread on China’s formal commentary.  Now it is for the fallout.  Again Trump is running around like a demented rooster with a brain as big as half a pea.  He thinks he has done something great.  He is greatly broken the US.  We are gathering the information and not at this stage trying to make sense of it.

Some comments:

Trump: “We will consider whether it’s possible for Maria Corina Machado (the opposition leader) to lead Venezuela, and they currently have a Vice President.”

Trump threatens Mexican President: Claudia Sheinbaum is a good woman, but the cartels are running Mexico.

She’s not running Mexico — the cartels are running Mexico. Something’s going to have to be done with Mexico.

Trump: “China has no problem with our Venezuela operation. They will get their oil.”

Trump: We will take control of Venezuela’s oil.  By we, he means jewish corporates.

BREAKING! The United States is deciding Venezuela’s political future and will be directly involved in the process, Trump said.  🐻 Who the f*ck are you to decide anything?!

Trump says he watched the operation in Venezuela live “like a TV show”

Trump on Venezuela: Capture first, decisions later

After US strikes on Venezuela and the claimed capture of President Nicolás Maduro, Donald Trump walked the public through the operation — with the confidence of someone narrating a highlight reel.

Trump’s version:

🌏A second wave of strikes is still on the table, because apparently one round may not be enough

🌏Maduro was ready to negotiate at the last minute, Trump said — but Washington opted for capture over conversation

🌏Maduro and his wife are now on a US-controlled ship, headed for New York, destination: American justice

🌏Trump couldn’t resist the action-movie details: steel doors, a fortified safe room, a rapid “bum rush” — blowtorches packed, but not needed

🌏As for Venezuela’s future? Washington is deciding that now, because letting Venezuelans sort it out themselves is apparently too risky

“Maduro was in a fortress. His house had steel doors and a safety space with solid steel all around.  He tried to get into it, but was bum-rushed so fast he didn’t make it,” – US President Donald Trump.

Trump called the war in Ukraine “primitive” while commenting on the U.S. kidnapping operation against Maduro.  (Oh dear, duck!  Here comes Smoothie! 😀.  And we will leave it to him to respond to this one.)

Maria Machado;  (she will not see the sun for much longer).

The leader of the Venezuelan opposition, Maria Corina Machado, stated that Nicolas Maduro has been dismissed from his position after refusing to negotiate.  She added that she would restore order and release political prisoners.

She will also move the Venezuelan embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.  That is why she is there.    Do not underestimate what supporting the Palestinians costs other countries.

Russia urges US to release Venezuela’s president and first lady.   Russia’s Foreign Ministry has called on the United States to release Venezuela’s lawfully elected president and his wife.

President Trump just released a picture of Venezuelan President Maduro onboard the USS Iwo Jima.

Friend Larch sent me this piece from the Russian press:

“A brilliant operation,” but not in the same way

Trump called Maduro’s capture a “brilliant operation.” He’s right. But not in the sense that “military” is usually understood.

1. The Cartel That Doesn’t Exist

“Cartel de los Soles” – the Cartel of the Suns. It sounds convincing. Like Pablo Escobar’s Medellín Cartel or the New Generation of Jalisco.

There’s a catch: it’s not a cartel.

The term was coined by journalists in 1993, when two generals of the Venezuelan National Guard were caught participating in a CIA sting operation to smuggle cocaine into the United States. The generals had “suns” on their epaulettes, which are the insignia of senior officers. This created a pun for the headline, which stuck.

Since then, experts have been repeating the same thing. InSight Crime: “It’s never been a drug cartel; it’s a loose network of smuggling cells within the security forces.” Adam Isenstadt: “It’s not a group. People never identify themselves as members. They don’t have regular meetings. They don’t have a hierarchy.” Phil Hanson of the International Crisis Group: “The Soliz Cartel doesn’t exist as such. It’s a journalistic term.”

Former State Department official Finucane put it best: “They call a non-existent thing that is not a terrorist organization a terrorist organization.”

But most importantly, “the sun” is about the epaulettes. Maduro is a former bus driver and trade union activist. He has never worn a military uniform. He physically cannot have “the sun.”

Who has them? The Minister of Defense, Padrino Lopez, has four suns. Diosdado Cabello, the 1992 coup leader and Chavez’s closest friend, controls the intelligence services and now runs around in a hard hat, frowning. The entire general staff, through which trafficking has been conducted for years.

In general, everyone who betrayed Maduro.

2. Tactics

MH-47 Chinook helicopters are large and noisy. They flew under a full moon (the worst time for special operations) over a million-plus city with air defense, MANPADS, and anti-aircraft guns.

No one shot at them. Not the military. Not the president’s security detail. Not even with a gun. The only thing that threatened the heroic American special forces was a technical malfunction in the helicopter. General Vladimir Padrino Lopez recorded a video message a couple of hours after the “invasion.” He called for calmness. He warned against “anarchy and unrest.” He was not arrested. He was not killed. He was not on the run.

The Minister of Defense of the country that has just been attacked is asking the people not to worry. Everything is fine.

The country’s capital reacts to the president’s capture like a storefront sign change.

3. The transaction is closed

Secretary of State Rubio has already announced, “No further action is expected in Venezuela.” Three hours after the start of the “war,” there is already peace. It’s convenient. Trump likes it. Maduro, facing charges of drug terrorism, is on his way to the United States for life imprisonment. Diosdado Cabello, who controls the intelligence services and has real connections with the FARC and ELN, remains in power. The generals with “suns” on their epaulettes, who have been involved in the drug trafficking for years, remain in their positions.

Those who are literally the “Cartel of the Suns” by definition have just traded their political boss for an indulgence. For now, but who knows what will happen next. However, the world’s most powerful woman, Machado, who has already expressed her desire to rule Venezuela, also needs generals. And they will definitely have the sun on their epaulettes.

The US gets: a show trial, a “victory over drug terrorism”, control over the planet’s largest oil reserves. The Venezuelan generals get: absolution of sins on Maduro, preservation of positions, legitimization. Maduro gets: a cell.

Resume

A brilliant operation. Thorough planning. Excellent troops. Superb people.

Only it wasn’t a military operation to capture him. It was a coordinated prisoner transfer with theatrical special effects.

This is not about Noriega, who – again, theatricality – was taken in a real military operation (losing several helicopters in the process) 4.01.1990 This is about the current media world.

Regarding the above piece from the Russian press, this is what I see in the Russian sources in general.  Somehow they expect a full defense moments after the first strikes.  I have one word for them.  You’re delusional – you go get your panties on while the enemy has already turned around and fled.

Thomas Massie hits a nail on the head:  0 MENTION OF ‘FENTANYL’ OR ‘STOLEN OIL’ IN MADURO’S INDICTMENT — Massie

There is a lot of big dick talk from certain quarters in the US.

  • Get fucked, third world trash.
  • For you Charlie!

The US consists of Barbarians.  We will from now on call them Barbaria!

And of course, the resistance is there:  @BrianMteleSUR

Remember the geopolitical analysts who claimed Trump would usher in an era of non-intervention in US foreign policy? This year, the Trump administration has executed 622 bomb, drone & missile strikes against 7 countries: Venezuela, Syria, Yemen, Nigeria, Iraq, Iran and Somalia.
Trump’s speech, which is going on now, is insanity and lies from a madman who wants to own the world.   I ask you, take a look at this and tell me when this has ever happened.  He also says the US will run the country.  Good Morning Vietnam, yet again.
“We will make the people of Venezuela rich, independent, and safe,” Trump said.

“The socialist Maduro regime stole U.S. oil assets. America will not allow other countries to plunder it,” Trump claimed.

“The socialist Maduro regime stole U.S. oil assets. America will not allow other countries to plunder it,” Trump claimed.

“The United States retains all military options until our demands have been satisfied.” – “Peace President” Trump

Trump on Maduro’s capture: “An assault like people haven’t seen since World War II” — (Yes, half a navy, half an airforce and months of wasting tax money on a military junket where they built a full scale Maduro Presidential Palace to practice. )

Trump lumps the Venezuela attack in with the hits on Soleimani and Baghdadi — casting regime change as just another entry in his greatest-hits reel of “spectacular” military moments

Trump threatens Colombia (He has already threatened Mexico today).

Trump invokes the Monroe Doctrine — reminding everyone not to question US leadership in the Western Hemisphere.

Now Hegseth has taken the podium.  But oh dear .. I cannot stand any more of this.

Insane Hitlerian Imperial Fascism.

OK, we have the most important comments in, as well as a few more.  There are thousands.  What is still outstanding here for the full picture to the future,  is educated Chinese commentary.  While that is outstanding, let’s take a look at Dmitry Medvedev in detail:

Dmitry Medvedev:

“1. A perfect example of U.S. ‘peacekeeping.’ A hard military operation in an independent country that posed no threat whatsoever to the United States. The seizure by special forces of a legally elected president together with his wife. Of course, all of this strictly within the framework of international law and domestic legislation, in coordination with Congress. Almost complete silence from democratic Europe. Guaranteed love in Latin America, where the Monroe Doctrine is extremely popular. In short, another brilliant step toward the Nobel Prize.

2. Trump should have shown the same level of energy as in Venezuela somewhere entirely different. The trained Ukrainian animals, coked up in Kiev, have completely gotten out of hand. They’ve stopped listening to the ringmaster of the circus. The example of Venezuela is unlikely to sober them up. Still, it would be nice if the U.S. attacked the military bases of Banderastan, and American special forces captured the gang of drug addicts on Bankova Street. Maybe it’s time already, Uncle Sam?

3. The operation in Caracas became the best proof of the fact that any state must strengthen its armed forces to the maximum, not allowing various rich, arrogant actors to casually change the constitutional order in search of oil or something else. And maximum strengthening that guarantees reliable protection of a country means only one thing: a nuclear arsenal!

Long live nuclear weapons!”

I’m taking a break now.  Feel free to add what you think is important and essential in the comments.  But, first pay attention to Larry Johnson.  Please note, this has only started!

There still is a lot of fog, and the outright hasty declarations of the USA of ‘mission accomplished’ make me suspicious. It is stated with bravaho that the USA now ‘runs Venezuela’, but my question then could be: ‘with what, exactly?’ Add to that, there are already 40 deaths reported… Read more »

Yes, leg irons. And dear Cronetoo, soil is well-established to include asphalt, concrete, or other landing strip surfaces. Max was incorrect. No need to try to parse his error away. Fog of blogging.

Grok 3: **Venezuelan heavy oil**, primarily extra-heavy crude from the Orinoco Belt, requires **complex refineries** equipped with cokers, desulfurization units, and other upgrading facilities to process its high viscosity and sulfur content effectively. The main nations with significant capability to refine it are: – **United States**: U.S. Gulf Coast refineries… Read more »

I bet I know the story in advance. Maduro will commit suicide by hanging himself while the cameras are out of order and two guards assigned to his unit will be asleep at their desks and browsing the internet instead of performing their required duties.

I feel like BRICS is in a no rules street fight with the American/Zio empire and they’re trying to play by some combat sports rules. I know it’s early in this latest escalation but I feel like the multi polar leading nations are always caught off guard.

The adversaries of the Hegemon are very slow learners. To underestimate the US government and Trump is fatal. Falling for the same pitch (let’s talk, let’s make a deal, pickup the phone, let’s meet) is excruciatingly stupid. The US is in desperate mode to hold its dominance and all we… Read more »

US thinks it can control the levers of governance while the Oil Corps return and get oil pumping.PMCs, contractors, and bribes ought to give them control. Short term, if people have food and water and medicine, they will put up with it.
