This is considered not AI and has gone viral.  Your mileage may vary.  “He takes a little cocaine and then he thinks he’s won the war.”  If taken at face value, it positions Trump to blame the Biden administration again, it slots into the fake war on drugs in the Caribbean, and it justifies no more money to Ukraine in the eyes of the US citizenry.  But it surely is not a policy statement that the Ukraine has lost this war and must lay down their weapons and leave the traditional Russian areas.  As usual Trump puts his focus on the person and not on the root problem.

Trump and Netanyahu?  Oh boy .. Iran, yes, let’s attack them.  Venezuela, we bombed a drug building, a dock area today – yesterday it was .. there where they have the boats – it was a huge explosion (but nobody knows about it*).  Netanyahu must be pardoned – he is a brave war president.  Trump received another peace prize, a special one from Netanyahu.  Trump hopes that Netanyahu will get along with Al Julani.

Trump said that the reconstruction of Gaza will begin soon and that “we will fix it,” describing Gaza as a “tough place” and a “tough neighborhood.”  Regarding the possibility of allowing Turkish troops in Gaza, Trump stated that he has a great relationship with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and that the matter will be discussed with him, adding, “If it’s good, I think that’s good,” while praising Türkiye and President Erdoğan.  Oh Yeah, Hamas must disarm as they agreed to otherwise there will be hell to pay.  Excepting, Hamas never agreed to disarm but to hand their weapons to a Palestinian State.

“I’m not concerned about ANYTHING that Israel is doing”.  Despite 1,000 ceasefire violations by Israel, Trump says the regime has lived up to the Gaza ceasefire deal one hundred percent.

It is a mockery of decent humanity.

Venezuela – someone found a fire. 

There was a reported fire in the early hours of December 24 close to a Venezuelan port in the state of Zulia, which might be attributed to the strike that Trump admitted to in his press conference with Netanyahu.

After a fire broke out at a plant in Maracaibo run by Primazol, a private Venezuelan livestock supply company, Trump claimed “there was a major explosion where they load the boats up with drugs,” proving that the US military hit the drug trafficking “implementation area”

Russia’s Defense Ministry said air defenses repelled a large Ukrainian drone attack overnight on 29 December, targeting the Russian presidential residence in Novgorod Region.

Peskov has new plans.  “The Kremlin agrees with Trump’s assessment that peace in Ukraine has become much closer. Ukraine is losing territories and will continue to lose them – this is plan “A”, “B” and “C”. Russia is thinking about ending the military conflict in the context of achieving its goals. To stop the fighting, Kiev is required to withdraw Ukrainian troops beyond the administrative borders of Donbass.

On December 29, the Eastern Command of the People’s Liberation Army of China began conducting the exercise “Mission of Justice — 2025” around Taiwan

A representative of the Eastern Command of the PLA, Colonel Shi Yi, noted that forces and resources of the PLA Ground Force, Air Force, and Rocket Force are being involved.  The aim of the exercises is to test the real capabilities of the command’s troops in conducting joint combat operations.

It is emphasized that these exercises are a serious warning to separatist forces advocating for “Taiwan independence”, as well as to external forces interfering in the situation, and represent legitimate and necessary actions to protect state sovereignty and preserve national unity of China.

Venezuela:  Trump claims to have struck Venezuela on December 24th.   In an interview with John Catsimatidis he claimed that the U.S. destroyed a drug trafficking plant in Venezuela on Christmas Eve.  “They have a big plant. A building from where the boats leave. Two nights ago we hit them hard.”

No evidence popped up, nor did any commentary from the Venezuelan Government.

An interesting appointment:  Dmitry Polyanski has been the First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN in New York.  He has done a sterling job, and was available for interviews with people like Danny Davis and others during his stint.  Putin appointed him to Russia’s permanent representative to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).  This is a tough job, and there is no love there.  And now we wait to see who is in his space at the UN, working with Vassily Nebenzia.

Nobody trusts a word coming from Trump.  He announced he had a telephone call with Putin and immediately the broad commentariat of netizens said:  Yeah?  Prove it!  Peskov confirmed within minutes and Ushakov was ready with a briefing:

Today is the day that Zelenski has a meeting with Trump on Ukraine. We’ve been entertained all week long with circussy news of crazy Zelenski statements, not even worth reading. Bear in mind Russia will most probably not deal with Zelenski as they consider him de jure not authorized to act for Ukraine.

I get the feeling Mr Putin changed the agenda for today.

During the week Mr Ryabkov stated a number of times that a breakthrough on the diplomatic track may be close. We will see. I long for this war to be over.

Their demands also underscored a pressing need for transparency and respect for the popular will.  Against this backdrop of electoral controversy, residents of Tegucigalpa and Comayagüela responded to a call from the current capital mayor and reelection candidate, Jorge Aldana in a peaceful sit-in in front of the facilities, intending to press for a direct, vote-by-vote recount.

Clarification why Trinidad and Tobago jumps for the US, directly from the Prime Minister, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, in a speech yesterday:

They are falling for the old carrot and stick; threat and reward.

Here is the stick and the threat: I do not want anyone to lose their U.S. visa. There are over 350,000 Trinidad and Tobago nationals who hold U.S. visas. Over 250,000 Trinidad and Tobago nationals live in the United States, and approximately 20,000 hold dual citizenship.

Here is the carrot: “As I said yesterday: behave yourself. Understand where our help comes from. Understand who can protect and defend Trinidad and Tobago. Right now, there is only one country in the world that can do so. They have the equipment. They have the money. They have the assets. If anyone comes to attack our country, who do you think will defend us? The United States has the military might and the power.”

So she was threatened into compliance and no doubt rewarded for the compliance. I’m sure ICE will not pick up any Trinidadian. There is no-one except the US itself that threatens Trinidad and Tobago. And so the bully empire picks off the small ones.

Chinese Wolf Warriors: ‘Extremely Despicable’ is not the usual Chinese language:

The Chinese Embassy in Mexico on Saturday firmly rejected US politician Peter Navarro’s public smearing of Chinese exports, calling such remarks “extremely despicable,” according to an announcement published on the embassy’s website.

The remarks came after Peter Navarro, the White House’s senior counselor for trade and manufacturing, published an article on Mexican media in which he openly smeared Chinese exports, claiming that Mexico’s decision to raise tariffs on China and other Asian countries marked “a major milestone in President Trump’s trade revolution — and in the postwar international trading system itself,” and calling on “US allies to follow Mexico’s lead.”

You may recall that Mexico is working on its Plan Mexico and certain items are tariffed. These are the items that Mexico produce locally. Also, Mexico under the US Trade Agreement is not permitted to make any trade agreement with anyone else. In a sense Navarro’s comment is correct. It is a revolution that Mexico is fighting back like most of the rest of the LAC, while being under US pressure constantly. We know now that the assault on Venezuela and other countries can be ascribed to many things, usually shortsightedly considered to be ‘the oil’, but mainly it is an attempt to get China, Russia and perhaps Iran out of the so-called ‘US hemisphere’. The latest US speeches from the administration’s musketeers disdainfully says that Venezuela has Hezbolla, Hamas and Iran influences, playing the fast falling zionist card.

Will Schryver: In my view, Maduro is an ancillary target in this dangerous game. The primary targets are Russia, China, and Iran. The strategic question in play is whether the mythic dominion called “The Monroe Doctrine” can enforce its edicts in the face of international tides that oppose it.

Israel has officially recognized ‘Somaliland’, a breakaway region of Somalia, as its own independent nation. Israel is the first and only, to recognize ‘Somaliland’. It has likely done so because of its strategic location in the Horn of Africa and Gulf of Aden; Somaliland could serve as a strategic forward base for Israeli operations against Yemen. It is said that Somaliland is slated as an area where Palestinians could be deported to. Traditionally it has been a British and UAE area of influence. Most of the world including the African Union condemned this.

Israel framed this move as part of the Abraham Accords.

How about that? Recognizing Somaliland but not recognizing Palestine.

Going into a new year I despair about Africa. Although there are moments of hope, in my view, the Alliance of the Sahel States is the only initiative doing the work to get rid of neo-colonial influences in its new form, and they are paying the price in a low-level but perpetual war. Most of the rest of Africa is still wholly owned by Western neo-colonial forces, as we saw the US bombing Nigeria on Christmas Day. Commentary abounds from Nigerians testifying that, at least in one village that was bombed, there were no militant and extremist influences, and it has been a peaceful village for well over 10 years. Although the Nigerian state sings the praises of the US bomb squad, the rank and file Nigerian understands clearly that this was performative. ‘Somaliland’ is strategically located. As Traoré warned in his recent speech that a Black Winter is coming to West Africa, it seems the Black Winter will spread to the East as well. A similar process of threats and coercion is operative in the LAC and in Africa.

The end of the world through a 2nd Great Flood was cancelled at the last minute. A Prophet in Ghana, Ebo Noah, predicted a new Great Flood on Christmas Day and he needed a lot of money to build new arks. He then went off to buy a new car, said that God was merciful and gave us more time to build many new arks, and promptly cancelled the end of the world.

China has taken the gloves off.   Beijing slammed the recent US weapons package for Taiwan as ‘a major breach of the One China principle’.

China placed retaliatory measures against 20 US defense industry companies for arms sales to Taiwan, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.  This is a hammer blow against the US military industrial complex.  Some details:

What the package of measures includes:
