Alastair Crooke : How Beijing Sees the World’s Hotspots

With Judge Napolitano:  A must-watch with attention.

These are my quick notes:  For China, AI is integrated in industry.  It is a manufacturing and business tool, not a weapon, as in the US.  The US or West is no longer competitive, so China has all the cards economically.  The West is now in a structural crisis.

The United States will have difficulty accepting this change, the Chinese and others’ avoidance of the Dollar Trap, for one.  The world will incorporate what China is doing.   World energy is changing to less need for oil  China has other systems that look very promising and the energy balance will change in China’s favor.  (Reminder to all about Russia’s small nuclear power generators).  The Chinese technology is open source and people worldwide are turning to that.

China is carefully handling the fallout of the downfall of the US already.  China does not necessarily want to be involved in the rollout of an alternative dollar system (The Unit).  They believe we have a system currently that works and they are using it.

The half-life of thorium is measured in decades, rather than centuries or longer, and so the waste management issue is negligible.… Read more »
