Good heavens!  Does she live under a rock?   This is widely reported.  (I keep thinking someone did an AI video but it is legitimate:  https://t.me/geo_gaganauts/13308

https://www.dni.gov/index.php/newsroom/speeches-interviews/speeches-interviews-2025/4123-dni-gabbard-remarks-at-iiss-manama-dialogue-2025

U.S. National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard claims the era of American-backed regime change operations is over.  ‘For decades, our foreign policy has been trapped in a counterproductive and endless cycle of regime change and nation building.  Toppling regimes, trying to impose our system of governance on others, intervening in conflicts that were barely understood, and walking away with more enemies than allies.  The results: trillions spent, countless lives lost, and in many cases, the creation of greater security threats.’

(She must be selling the Abraham Accords).

This comes as the United States prepares for regime change in Venezuela,  largely believed to be engineered by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The US builds drones:

🛩 Peter Thiel-backed drone startup crashes and burns in military trials

👉 Drone startup firm Stark, bankrolled by Peter Thiel — a prominent donor and ally of Donald Trump — has suffered a humiliating ‘disaster’ in trials. The company’s Virtus drones failed to hit a single target in four attempts:

🌏 In Kenya for the British Army, two strike attempts both missed — but one drone’s battery caught fire on impact

🌏 For the German Bundeswehr, two more attempts failed with one drone losing control and crashing in a forest where it was unrecoverable

Stark’s ambitions and backing

🌏 Founded just 15 months ago, Stark quickly gained support from Sequoia Capital, the NATO Innovation Fund and Thiel Capital

🌏 But the company was recently valued at $500 million and is in line for a €300 million German military contract

🌏 The firm’s Virtus drones had been marketed as top performers, with plans to ramp up production by 2026

🌏 Despite the disappointing test results, Stark remains hopeful, saying failure is part of the development process. Its website boasts of precision strikes from 100km away and its CEO recently claimed the drone is an “absolute top performer.”

Stark’s trials were part of a broader push by NATO members to invest billions into drone technology following the success of drones in the Ukraine conflict.

Despite high-profile backing from Thiel, the failed live demonstrations have raised questions about the company’s ability to deliver — and a possible investment bubble in the drone sector.

There are numerous comments suggesting that the decision to fall into Venezuela with troops on the Ground has been made.  So far, noting we can hang our hats on but the rumors are out there.  This may be floating weather balloons to see which way the blows and hoping Maduro will get scared and leave, or there may be accuracy.  Here is someone that was held up as this guy that was so good for Trump and for the US.  I am astounded at this silly man.

Trump’s former National Security Advisor calls on Putin to ‘help out’ in Venezuela.  ‘C’mon President Putin, tell Maduro to get out now while there is still time’ — General Flynn writes on X

Flynn claims Maduro ‘stole’ Venezuela from Maria Machado — but Machado did not run for the presidency.

Just take a look at that message.  First, try to involve Putin.  That is just flinging a bloody steak that he thinks Putin will pick up like a hungry dog.  How disrespectful.  Then, the fake news.  Is there anyone in the US who knows what they are talking about or is everyone now simply in a state of bloodlust?

Venezuela caught another bunch of mercs working at the behest of the CIA.  This is just days after Maduro’s pilot was approached to turn coat and fly Maduro where the US could grab his plane and lay hands on him, or take him out.

Venezuelan officials say they’ve captured a group of mercenaries tied to the CIA.  “This is a colonial operation of military aggression that seeks to turn the Caribbean into a space for lethal violence and US imperial domination.”

Trump denied that he is considering strikes within Venezuela.  Trump simply told reporters ‘no’ while aboard Air Force One.  WH Spox Anna Kelly adds ‘unnamed sources don’t know what they’re taking about’.  (And most of us do not believe a word Trump says, but if there is such a decision of imminent strikes, he won’t say it, would he – I mean, be realistic).

Trump’s ignorance on nukes is truly frightening.

Director of Nuclear Studies Institute at American University, Peter Kuznick, on Trump ordering nuclear testing ‘Because of other countries’ programs’.  ‘He doesn’t know the difference between delivery systems, non-nuclear tests  & nuclear weapons tests.

MoonOfAlabama describes it in detail:

A Nuclear Delivery Vehicle Is Not A Nuclear War Head

A Truth Social tweet by U.S. President Donald Trump on nuclear weapons has led to some confusion and, as I assume, misinterpretations.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump – Oct 30, 2025, 1:04 utc

The United States has more Nuclear Weapons than any other country. This was accomplished, including a complete update and renovation of existing weapons, during my First Term in office. Because of the tremendous destructive power, I HATED to do it, but had no choice! Russia is second, and China is a distant third, but will be even within 5 years. Because of other countries testing programs, I have instructed the Department of War to start testing our Nuclear Weapons on an equal basis. That process will begin immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP

The Washington Post interprets it as a test of nuclear warheads:

Trump directs Pentagon to test nuclear weapons for first time since 1992 (archived) – Washington Post
The president said he wanted testing to occur “on an equal basis” with Russia and China. The Kremlin condemned the move, and there was no indication of when tests might take place.

The US signed this treaty.  I don’t find a ratification date for the United States:  https://www.ctbto.org/our-mission/states-signatories. On that very same note, I don’t find ratification dates for Russia or China either.

Shoigu:  ‘Testing never stops in any country for even one day or hour’.  ‘Tests are not physical, rather MATH MODELS are created,’ the Security Council Sec. explains.  Such tech requires ‘constant attention’.

MoD Russia

Yesterday’s statement by representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Georgy Tikhy prohibiting foreign and Ukrainian media from trying to reach Ukrainian servicemen who are being encircled through Russia’s liberated territory is an official recognition of the catastrophic situation for remaining troops of the AFU in Krasnoarmeysk, Dimitrov, and Kupyansk.

▫️ In doing so, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine confirmed that there are no entry or exit opportunities to leave encircled positions for journalists or servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, except for Russian security corridors.

▫️ The ban on entering these ‘pockets’ for journalists of foreign and Ukrainian media through corridors provided by the Russian Ministry of Defence is needed for the Kiev regime to conceal the real situation on the front line and deceive the world community and residents of Ukraine.

▫️ The ultimate goal of these actions is to maintain favourable conditions of the Kiev regime’s establishment to receive and continue plundering funds sent by Western sponsors to the war against Russia.

Official representative of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

This, from the US, is very interesting and, to my knowledge, has never occurred at this scale before. Reporting is from The Atlantic.

Top Trump Officials Move Into Military Bases Amid Security Fears

A growing number of senior Trump administration officials, including Stephen and Katie Miller, Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth, Kristi Noem, and Tulsi Gabbard, have quietly relocated to military bases around Washington, D.C., citing security threats and harassment following the assassination of Charlie Kirk and rising political violence.

The Atlantic (https://archive.ph/POCZz)reports that the Millers faced weeks of protests outside their Arlington home, where activists accused Stephen Miller of “crimes against humanity” and posted his address publicly. Similar campaigns targeted other Trump officials, prompting a migration into military housing once reserved for top generals. Today, Cabinet members and senior aides live behind base security perimeters at Fort McNair, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, and Joint Base Myer–Henderson Hall, forming what some are calling an unofficial “Trump Green Zone.”

While previous administrations occasionally placed defense secretaries on bases for security reasons, the scale of this trend is unprecedented. Analysts warn it reflects a deeper blurring between civilian governance and the military, symbolizing the growing militarization of domestic politics.

Most would agree the relocations are justified amid genuine threats, but others argue that the moves intensify a sense of separation between Trump’s inner circle and the American public, reinforcing the image of an administration governing from fortified compounds rather than open institutions.

The Atlantic concludes that the trend marks a chilling new phase in U.S. political life, one where fear, power, and polarization converge, leaving a government elite increasingly walled off from the nation it rules.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

President Putin is very serious.

The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation received an order from the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Federation to ensure the unrestricted travel for foreign journalists, including Ukrainian ones, upon their address to the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to visit the areas blocked by Ukrainian troops in Krasnoarmeysk, Dimitrov, Kupyansk.

The Russian command is prepared to cease hostilities for 5 to 6 hours in these areas, as well as to provide corridors for unrestricted entry and exit for groups of representatives of foreign media, including Ukrainian ones, provided there will be security guarantees for both journalists and Russian military personnel.

Xi Trump – so far, not much of substance.  Seemingly, according to Trump, they discussed the SMO and how to end that war.  The clip of the handshake is telling.  Check how Trump tries to cuddle in with Xi, putting his arm around Xi’s back and Xi only standing up straighter.  https://t.me/presstv/162795

There was no joint presser after the meeting ended.

Afterward Trump instructed his War Dept to resume nuclear testing. “Because of other countries testing programs, I have instructed the Department of War to start testing our Nuclear Weapons on an equal basis. That process will begin immediately,” Trump says. And right after that with is presstitudes on his airplane, he stated that China could join US-Russia negotiations on denuclearization if they prove successful. China has consistently refused. We will let the dust settle and see if we can find any issues of substance later, when the formal readouts are ready. I expect a lot of these regular words from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs: “China’s position is consistent and clear.”

The Kremlin responded immediately to the nuclear testing issue:

Kremlin on Trump’s remarks: Burevestnik tests are not nuclear

📍 The Kremlin reaffirmed that Russia’s moratorium on nuclear weapons testing remains in effect and said the United States has not informed Moscow of any plans to resume tests.

Key points from Peskov’s statements:

🟠 Trump’s claim that other countries are conducting nuclear tests is inaccurate if it refers to Burevestnik

🟠 The Burevestnik test is not a nuclear test

🟠 Moscow hopes Trump received accurate information regarding Burevestnik and Poseidon

🟠 The need for expert-level Russia–US talks on nuclear disarmament has been raised multiple times

🟠 Nuclear disarmament is a complex, lengthy process

🟠 No detailed expert consultations between Russia and the US are currently taking place, though the issue remains on the agenda

🟠 No substantive US proposals have been made on the New START treaty, and dialogue on it has yet to advance

🟠 The New START treaty and nuclear testing are separate issues

🟠 The US, as a sovereign nation, has the right to make sovereign decisions

🟠 The Kremlin does not believe a new arms race has begun

🟠 The Kremlin does not consider Russia–US dialogue to be at an impasse

Putin:

Russia yesterday tested the underwater drone “Poseidon” with a nuclear power plant, and “Burevestnik” is a major breakthrough in science and enhancing defense capability

▪️In terms of speed and depth, there are no analogues to “Poseidon” in the world, and there are no ways to intercept it.
▪️The power of “Poseidon” significantly exceeds the power of the most promising “Sarmat” missile.
▪️”Sarmat” will soon be put on combat duty.
▪️The advantage of the “Burevestnik” missile is that the nuclear power plant, with power comparable to a nuclear submarine reactor, is 1,000 times smaller;
▪️The nuclear reactor installed in “Burevestnik” starts “within minutes and seconds.”
▪️Russia will be able to apply the nuclear technologies used in “Burevestnik” in the national economy.
▪️The nuclear technologies used in “Burevestnik” will be used in the lunar program, and the electronics are already applied in space programs.
▪️The “Burevestnik” missile is a breakthrough not only in enhancing the defense capability of the Russian Federation but also in science.

Here is but one comment while the stomachs of all the hegemonies are clenched and the beginnings of the cancers of ulcerous lesions are forming fast.  Trump’s comment about his silent nuclear submarine on the coast of Russia is becoming laughable.

Former US army Krapivnik details destructive potential of Russian missiles ‘if US got ‘psychotic’ with 1st-strike policy

There is extensive Russian commentary today. Europe is clearly on the warpath and now openly. Don’t misunderstand this .. today, they cannot, but they are busy exorting money from their citizens and changing over their industry to create war materiel to build up a weapons cache for their war. The Russian weapons do not scare them, as they feel invincible. As we know the AI Large Language Models are now showing up brainrot, these are also showing up brainrot. Germany is weaponizing fiercely. Today it feels impossible. Knowing the Russian weaponry it feels like a fairy tale. But, if you follow the comments from Demented Donald’s conversations with the new leader of Japan for example, it is all about weapons. The Japanese leader calls it an ‘UNWAVERING commitment’ to peace and stability. (And all this while the US is threatening the LAC.)

The US governent is still in a shut-down mode. Why do you think this is? Is it only a Democrat vs Republican issue? I don’t think so. I think it is a clear issue of gathering money for weapons on the back of the citizenry. It has always been so in times of war.

Most important still in our world, is the threat to Venezuela and the LAC and the threat and extension of Russia to attempt to overwhelm them. China has taken a stand, nevermind the good words while negotiating trade issues. There is nothing there. It is an extension of war footing. Yes, China knows. At this stage everyone is still playing the game. Iran is still on a war readiness footing. The so-called Trump peace plan in West Asia is being salami sliced to nothingness and every Palestinian is put on the altar for destruction.

Around Venezuela and the LAC, for the third time in weeks, two U.S. Air Force strategic B-1B Lancer bombers flew just 50 km off the coast of Caracas, in the most aggressive approach recorded so far. This maneuver constitutes a deliberate provocation and an exercise of direct military pressure.

The Lancers, capable of launching AGM-158B JASSM-ER cruise missiles with a range of 980 km, do not need to approach coastal distances to fulfill deterrent functions. The overflight seeks to normalize hostile presence in critical airspace and test the response times of Venezuelan defense.

The escalation follows a predictable script: after the aircraft carriers, coordinated exercises with Trinidad and Tobago, and economic sanctions, it now advances toward direct aerial harassment. Each provocation consolidates the siege and prepares the ground for new incidents.

If you remember the old story about playing chess with a pigeon, we are at a final stage where the pigeon is kicking over the chessboard. The color revolution new methodolgy is devastating and not enough attention is being paid to this. These color revolutions are being false flagged by handing the GenZ youth Russian flags to wave around and many small hegemonic enclaves are created world wide. When you look at the pics, don’t be fooled by Russian flags.

It is saddening as many of our stalwart alternative reporters and commentators are falling for various scams. From some, I see open western style talk. Russian forces are continuing operations to eliminate Ukrainian troops trapped in two encircled pockets on the front line, the Defense Ministry in Moscow said on Monday.

The ministry reported that Ukrainian forces near Kupyansk made three unsuccessful attempts to break through the Russian blockade, suffering losses of up to 50 soldiers and six pieces of heavy equipment. In a separate area near Krasnoarmeysk (also known as Pokrovsk), another 60 Ukrainian servicemen were reportedly killed, while two armored vehicles and three cars were destroyed.

At a high-level military meeting on Sunday, Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov informed President Vladimir Putin that approximately 5,000 Ukrainian soldiers were surrounded near Kupyansk and another 5,500 near Krasnoarmeysk.

Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky has rejected Russia’s assertions, calling them “fake news meant for the United States.” Kiev insists that its troops remain combat-capable and that Russian advances don’t pose a threat for a strategic breakthrough.

(When do you call a Zelensky war a genocide of his own soldiers?).

Be aware, much fake news is being generated around these two cauldrons. Will Russia leaflet and offer them surrender? Some news sources say this has been done, but it has not. Only in one area, Tikhoye in Kharkov region and there were special circumstances.

The outcome of these two cauldrons will shake the whole front line. Possibly to its end.

Everyone who is commenting on the latest Rand paper. It may be many things, but it is not a real Rand paper. So, a little caution is in order. There is no further evidence today that the US has changed its views on the US-China relationship.

I’m summarizing Berletic, which I agree with.

Beware of “analysts” selling you US-China “peace” based on obscure papers disconnected from reality.

This RAND paper is not proof that there is some sort of “retreat” in US policy regarding encircling and containing China.

That is not how think tank papers work.

This RAND Corporation report, as you can see, was NOT commissioned by anyone inside the US government, but rather by Peter Richards as “busy work.” It could be a personal project, or part of information operations.

Other RAND papers like “Extending Russia” which we can see with our own eyes has been implemented since, was sponsored by the US Army Quadrennial Defense Review Office.

See the difference?

None of this US-China paper’s recommendations correspond to the reality of actual US-Chinese relations/tensions or the obvious course US policy is on regarding its ongoing campaign to encircle and contain China.

Yes, we’d all want to believe the US will come to its senses. But there is ZERO evidence that is the case, no matter how much we wish otherwise.

In fact, all evidence suggests otherwise.

As hopeful snake oil salesmen claim a US “retreat” from confrontation with China, the US is still waging a proxy war against Russia servicing its larger agenda of cutting off Russia from China, expanding its military industrial production for war with China specifically, enlarging its Asia-Pacific military footprint, converting nations into Ukraine-style proxies along China’s periphery, just overthrew the government of Nepal on China’s doorstep, continue with sanctions, tariffs and other measures to strangle the Chinese economy with non-military means while developing the geographical and maritime positions as well as the means to strangle China’s economy outright with a military blockade.

That is reality.

Real analysis is about what is REALLY happening, not what we wish was happening.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

An observational comment after ASEAN.  It is my opinion that whatever was agreed between Trump and any other country contained an outstanding line of trolling.  These countries were ready for Trump, they said everything rosy and complimentary to keep the peace, but they will be going their own way.

The most comical was Trump saying that he would like to meet with Kim Jong-un, if they get the message, but they don’t have very many telephones there.  This means that US state does not have a way to contact the DPRK – The North Koreans either don’t answer the phone, or they do not respond to the hope of a Trump to meet.  Modi of course is staying mum as well.  In the meantime, Mr Lavrov is having talks with his counterparts in both DPRK and ROK and Mr Putin meets with the DPRK’s Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui in the Kremlin and sends best regards to Kim Jong Un

A line of trolling is evident in a new interview that Mr Lavov had with a Hungarian Channel.  The last line is hilarious.  He goes through the full history since the SMO started (this makes a superb historical record) as well as the attempted circus with the Trump-Putin meeting and where it stands now.  That last line … “So the initiative is there, and we are polite people. And when we are invited, we say, yes, let’s agree how and where and when. … Later they said that “cancel” means “postpone”.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Pepe Escobar will tell us more … but for starters:

Beijing has quietly launched a global revolution and begun the yuanization of the entire planet.

The People’s Bank of China unexpectedly announced the full integration of its Renminbi Digital cross-border settlement system with 10 ASEAN countries and six Middle Eastern countries.

Thanks to this decision, approximately 38% of global trade can now be conducted directly in the digital yuan, bypassing the US dollar-dominated SWIFT system.

The Chinese digital currency bridge has reduced settlement times to 7 seconds.

🇦🇪 During the first test phase between Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi, a payment to a Middle Eastern supplier was made directly through the distributed ledger, reducing fees by 98%.

The digital yuan’s blockchain technology has also raised concerns in the West, as it allows for transaction tracking and automated enforcement of anti-money laundering laws.

🏦 Twenty-three central banks around the world have joined the test of this “digital currency bridge,” and Middle Eastern energy traders have reduced their settlement costs by 75%.

While the US used SWIFT to impose sanctions on countries like Iran, China has created a closed loop of yuan payments in Southeast Asia.

🇧🇳 In 2024, the volume of yuan transactions in ASEAN countries reached 5.8 trillion yuan (a 120% increase from 2021). Six countries, including Malaysia and Singapore, have added yuan to their foreign exchange reserves, and Thailand made its first oil payment in the digital yuan.

The digital yuan is not just a means of payment, but a strategic tool for the Belt and Road Initiative.

Projects such as the China-Laos Railway and the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway have combined the digital yuan with the Beidou navigation system and quantum communications technologies to form the “Digital Silk Road.”

Today, 87% of the world’s countries have implemented the digital yuan system, and the volume of international payments using it has exceeded $1.2 trillion.

While the US is still debating the risks associated with digital currency, China has expanded its digital payment network to 200 countries.

This quiet financial revolution is not just a matter of money but also of control over the future of the global economy.

More old agreements disappearing – this time plutonium:

✍️Putin signed a law denouncing the agreement between Russia and the USA on plutonium disposal, which is no longer necessary for defense purposes.

The parties signed the agreement in 2000, which provided for the disposal by each side of 34 tons of weapons-grade plutonium declared surplus to military programs. The effect of this document was suspended in 2016 based on a decree by the President of Russia and a federal law adopted.

The reasons were radical changes in the international situation, including the introduction of US sanctions against Russia, the adoption of a law supporting Ukraine, NATO’s eastward expansion, and the strengthening of the US military presence in Eastern Europe, the Foreign Ministry explained earlier.

First this all looked very fake.  But, it is not.   If US makes a request, China is willing to provide necessary assistance from humanitarian perspective: FM on US Navy aircraft crashes in SCS
Spokesperson Guo Jiakun

In response to media reports revealing that two US Navy aircraft – an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter and a US Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter assigned to aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN-68) – crashed in the South China Sea on Sunday in two separate incidents, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated Monday that China has taken note of the relevant reports. If the US side makes a request, China is willing to provide necessary assistance from a humanitarian perspective. He emphasized that the US military aircraft crashed while conducting military exercises in the South China Sea.

The spokesperson noted that the frequent dispatch of US warships and military aircraft to the South China Sea to flex its muscles is the root cause of maritime security issues and undermines regional peace and stability.
