There is active promotion of the US administration’s plan for settlement in Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu verbally approved it, making a number of amendments.

▪️ The most important thing: Trump’s plan does not contain the thesis about the possibility of creating a Palestinian state. It has been replaced with “the Palestinian people’s aspiration” for self-determination. Hamas, by the way, has not yet agreed to the plan. But they will be pressured.

The second important point. After the release of all living hostages and the handing over of all bodies of deceased hostages, the IDF, according to the plan, only reduces the occupation zone of the sector, but does not completely withdraw from it. It is obvious that from this moment Israel, which has already not restrained itself in terms of using all forces and means in Gaza, will receive a full carte blanche for a military solution to the issue.

The third point — the demand for the complete demilitarization of Hamas. In addition, it and other groups must refuse to participate in the governance of Gaza, directly or indirectly. Hamas members who agree to disarmament and “peaceful coexistence” are promised amnesty. They will also have the opportunity to leave the sector through a safe corridor to host countries. Thus, Gaza will lose its armed instrument. And after its complete demilitarization, anything can be done with it.

It is also assumed that temporary governance of the Gaza Strip will be carried out by some technocratic authorities under the supervision of an international body personally headed by Trump. Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair will also join the council of this body. We are witnessing new forms of colonial governance.

▪️ By the way, Trump’s special envoy Stephen Witkoff has already stated the universality of the approach to settlement in Gaza and the potential possibility of its use worldwide:

“This is not only about the Gaza Strip, but also about how this [settlement] can spread to all other regions of the Middle East and what it will lead to. It may even spread to Russia and Ukraine.”

The motto “From directors of Gaza — to director of Ukraine” is directly suggested. And it seems that the council on Ukraine will also include the well-known Victoria Nuland.

It is obvious that Trump’s plan is designed to reduce international pressure on Israel in connection with its policy of genocide in Gaza. The Palestinians will ultimately get nothing. Over time, after disarming Gaza, Israel with the help of the US will carry out its final annexation.
