Mind Colonization aka Cognitive Warfare

Mind Colonization destroys the colonizer and the colonized.  As the empire falls, they will employ mind colonization more and more, as resources for other methods of warfare,  become scarce.  Another name for mind colonization is Cognitive Warfare.  Teams of cognitive warfare specialists are currently deployed to maintain the old empirical world order.  A topical and excellent example is the rage of hasbara that we observe presently.

BRICS and SCO devote considerable time to cultural exchange.  I would argue that this is the counter to cognitive warfare, but this is a post for another time.

We will be looking at two pieces of work.

  • First is Professor Jiang, who argues that meritocracy as implemented via Ivy League schools is destroying America.  It is a fun lecture given to his Chinese students, and it is best to remember that these students are the children of the glitterati, including high-level leaders, diplomats, and tycoons of business.
  • Second is a new paper by the Xinhua Institute, The Means, Roots, and Global Perils of U.S. Cognitive Warfare.  (Thanks to Jeff Brown who made me aware of this new paper).

Before we start, and to remain really practical, the following is a listing of cognitive warfare actions in and around Asia:

The external influences (cognitive warfare actions) from the US Deep State have contributed to these developments:

  • Pakistan: In April 2022, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan was removed from office following a no-confidence vote. Khan has said the Deep State orchestrated his ouster with the help of the army because the US was angry with his independent foreign policy, including the improvement of ties with Russia, Iran and China.
  • Bangladesh: US interfered in Bangladesh for regime change , leading the country to chaos, leading to ouster of PM Sheikh Hasina and handing the power to US puppet Muhammad Yunus.
  • Myanmar: The CIA is reportedly working on a covert project for a new Christian-majority country, carved from Myanmar. Prior to her undemocratic ouster, Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina warned of a plot to establish ‘a Christian state like East Timor’ in the region.
  • Nepal: The sudden ban of 26 social media platforms in Nepal acted as a catalyst for youth protests. The scale, speed, and narrative management of these demonstrations strongly suggest external orchestration, potentially involving the US Deep State.  During the recent protests in Nepal, demonstrators were seen waving the Straw Hat Pirates’ Jolly Roger flag from the anime One Piece.
  • Just like in Indonesia and Thailand, where US-backed protesters used similar imagery, this symbol, from the Japanese anime One Piece, represents the struggle against ‘tyranny.’
  • Social media users believe this to be a sign of ‘color revolutions’ funded by the Deep State.
  • India: During last year’s farmers’ protests, a suspicious meeting between US Consul General Jennifer Larson and the Indian opposition had taken place, sparking speculation of the possible “no-confidence motion” against the Modi govt.
  • US traces have been found in the 2019 anti-CAA protests, 2020 Delhi Riots, the farmers’ protests, and even last year’s general elections in India.

Professor Jiang from his Predictive History series starts us off with the premise and most important kernel of truth.  Elite institutions prepare students for a successful life devoid of purpose and meaning.  We can see this among the leaders in Europe, specifically:

Secondly, to bring perspective and listed order to the issue of Cognitive Warfare, which depends on Mind Colonization, here is the Zinhua paper for download:

US-Colonization-of-the-Mind-Xinhua-Institute-2025.09

Digging into the conclusion, you will note immediately the concept that culture is the counter against mind colonization, and its objective of cognitive warfare to create colonization.  This, in modern terms, is more toxic than what we have called ‘neo-colonialism’ up to now.  Neo-colonialism was (and still is) the practice of recruiting and coercing local leaders to fulfil and carry out the purpose of the colonizer, as if it were a local leadership, to disguise who the real leaders are.  The colonization that we discuss here has lost its veneer and is naked and brutal.  Two examples stand out.  We observe this with the imposition of tariffs and with attacking others under the guise of peace talks or negotiations.

Conclusion: Breaking the Shackles of Mind Colonization and Promoting Inter-Civilization Exchanges and Mutual Learning

In recent years, countries in the Global South have been awakening at an accelerated pace and increasingly calling for breaking off the U.S. shackles of colonization of the mind, achieving the independence and autonomy of the mind, and promoting exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations.

As a pivotal member of the Global South, China, drawing on its own development experience and the shared aspirations of peoples worldwide, has put forward a series of visionary proposals: the Global Development Initiative (GDI), the Global Security Initiative (GSI), the Global Civilization Initiative (GCI), and the Global Governance Initiative(GGI). This series of propositions offers fresh pathways and innovative approaches for nations to

  • break free from ideological dogma,
  • cast off intellectual dependency, and
  • embark on truly independent paths of development.

Independence of the mind is a prerequisite for independent development.

  • Only by having a deep understanding of the dangers of the U.S. colonization of the mind can the vast majority of developing countries cast away the blind beliefs in U.S. values.
  • Only by getting rid of dependence of the mind on the U.S. and the West can these countries achieve independence and autonomy of the mind.
  • Only by completely breaking off the U.S. and Western shackles of the mind can these countries blaze a new trail for the development of their civilizations.

Cultural confidence is the foundation of national strength and prosperity.

Both developing and developed countries need to enhance their confidence in their national culture, history, and development. Cultural confidence is the most basic, extensive, and deep-rooted form of confidence. It constitutes the most fundamental, profound, and durable strength for a nation’s development. A nation with cultural confidence can stand firm, remain stable, and go far.

Exchanges and mutual understanding are an effective instrument for inter-civilization coexistence.  No civilization is an isolated island separated from the rest of the world.  Only through exchanges and mutual learning to make up for each other’s deficiencies, can civilizations continue to evolve.

The civilization of each country or nation is the one and only, with its unique value of existence as well as its own merits and shortcomings. Boasting of one’s “civilizational superiority” and believing one’s own civilization to be superior to that of others is disrespectful to other civilizations. It will only impede the overall progress of human civilizations.

The clash of civilizations should be replaced by their integration; exchanges and mutual understanding should melt away the ice of confrontations.

History has proven time and again that any model of thoughts and standard of civilization imposed on others will eventually go bust and that any attempt to manipulate others’ cognition and control their minds is doomed to failure.

The wheels of time are rolling forward irreversibly. When the shackles of colonization of the mind are completely shattered, a single spark of mutual learning among civilizations can start a prairie fire, a new form of global civilization featuring pluralistic coexistence will emerge from the cocoon, and a community with a shared future for humanity that shares weal and woe will shine with greater brilliance!

In this piece, he says the opposite, but most of the other things he says (and his actions such as South Koreans in the US), well, it is as bizarre as pointing to a weather vain that is pointing South demanding everyone agree that it is pointing North while shouting… Read more »

US Colonization of the Mind mostly discusses the “how” and “what,” with little mention of the “why.” It is there though (barely), last paragraph of 3.4 being at least one example.

I am on page 21 of 36 as of this writing — a good short summary of what should be obvious by now. The only “problem” I notice so far is a really minor issue in 2.4.2. As I understand it, General Electric sold its media to Comcast which was… Read more »

Sri Lanka should be added to the list of color revolutioned nations. The tactics are exactly the same as described here. With the economic crisis that was artificially engineered, social media campaigns, probably aided by foreign funders, targeted the country’s traditional culture and cultural values. Buddhism and the Buddhist monks… Read more »

“Who would have thought that revolts against growing indigo would contribute to the de jure end of the Indian colonial era.” This imminently will repeat for the end of the arab colonial era too: via the obliteration of the Persian Gulf oil fields. As the British Empire was ended by… Read more »

Interesting perspective about colonization. Personally, I have a slightly different view. Indeed, I tend to believe colonization is an inherently cognitive phenomenon. It occurs in the mind of the colonized people, and can be achieved by coercive means for sure, but it is mostly done via cultural, educational and political… Read more »

I very much agree. Imperialists, like satanists, focus on impressionable children. Every invasive western colonial project on every continent in last centuries has documented abduction of native children brought up and “educated” in foreign-run schools and homes inaccessible to their parents and native communities; thus were the first obedient compradore… Read more »

The method you mentioned is what’s been followed in almost all South Asian countries that were color revolutioned.

I’ve described my experience in Sri Lanka above.
