Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated he feels driven by a “historic and spiritual mission,” emphasizing his deep commitment to the concept of a “Greater Israel” encompassing Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Egypt.

OK, we have the right to feel nauseous.  The only historic and spiritual mission he is driven by is to kill everyone around him and steal what does not belong to him.  But like the Europeans, he feels a great need to whitewash himself right at present and wave a ‘spiritual’ flag.  Sickening!   This killer needs to be brought in front of a world court of law!   But note!  He is now trying to make himself great – this is a signature that Israel is busy breaking down internally.

This looks like a legitimate ending of investments, unlike the announcements of, say, Germany that they will stop weapons exports to Israel.   Those have a rider attached, that they will stop weapons that ‘can be used in Gaza’.  So, please explain to me what weapons those are?

Syria has asked Russia to resume patrolling its southern provinces.

According to Kommersant, citing a source, the Syrian transitional government would like to resume patrolling by the Russian military police in the country’s southern provinces in order to contain Israel’s military activity in the region.
“Russia is capable of preventing Israeli intervention while simultaneously facilitating Damascus’s dialogue with Tel Aviv,” the source emphasized.

Israel occupied parts of southern Syria in December. At the time, Tel Aviv announced the creation of a buffer zone in order to secure the northern border of the Zionist state and protect the local Druze community. Russia’s military presence in the area was brought to 0 after the coup.

According to the publication, Russian patrols have already returned to the northeast, near Qamishli. It is reported that this occurred after a recent visit by a Syrian delegation to Moscow.

Egypt changes its tune.

Egyptian Foreign Minister:

⭕️ The Rafah crossing is open from the Egyptian side, Israeli restrictions are what hinder the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip.

⭕️ We will not stop mediation efforts to achieve a ceasefire and deliver aid to Gaza.

⭕️ Egypt reiterates its complete rejection of plans to displace the Palestinian people and liquidate their cause.

But who actually stopped the major march to Gaza on the way to The Rafah crossing?  The crossing is certainly not open for siege breakers.  I think Egypt (and this is after yesterday’s Security Council meeting), is doing a whitewash job on itself. We see a lot of that now.

Israel took out the whole of the Al Jazeera reporting team in Gaza, in a deliberate assassination airstrike, striking a media tent at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza. Among them were prominent reporters Anas Al-Sharif and Mohammed Qraiqea.

Citing the hospital director, Al Jazeera said the strike hit their tent near the hospital on Sunday night. The network later confirmed the toll had risen to four, all of them its journalists. More were killed in this strike and the latest information is that seven journalists were killed, the very last international journalist team in Gaza. The whole press team of Al Jazeera is a terrible loss. Israel admitted killing Al Jazeera’s Anas al-Sharif, a very well-known journalist. They say he was ‘POSING’ as journalist but was Hamas. Heinous murder most foul!

Trump team’s Gaza negotiator resigns, blaming US-Israeli side for failed peace talks. In the meantime, Marco Rubio or Vance (same coin, different sides) blames France, I kid you not. The word from that side is that if France did not announce that they will recognize a Palestinian State (which is a red herring anyway), then Hamas would not have abandoned peace talks, which Hamas never did. Please be aware, each time they call out ‘Hamas’,they mean ‘Palestinian’. See Maria Zakharova’s ‘dig’ at US peace negotiators in her notes on Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Bahbah announced he will no longer work with the US negotiating team led by Witkoff.

He blamed Witkoff for the failed negotiations, pointing out that the US special envoy to West Asia had ignored the progress made with Hamas and, instead, followed the hardline approach of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Bahbah insisted that the US-Israeli decisions destroyed the chances for a ceasefire.

He added that he plans to continue his mediation efforts independently. “I can achieve more with Hamas if I work freely,” he said.

Despite having no official position in Trump’s Gaza negotiating team, Bahbah reportedly played a key role in securing the release of one of the Israeli captives held by Hamas.

There are no negotiation meetings, neither in Doha nor in Egypt.

In the last round that was in Doha, we were on the verge of signing an agreement, were it not for the American coup.

We are in daily and continuous contact with the mediators to discuss the issue of stopping the war. We do not stop communications and efforts even if there are no negotiation rounds or delegations.

The complexities of the internal Palestinian situation persist; all this war and bloodshed have not succeeded in unifying our institutions or leadership.

No party from the Palestinian Authority or the PLO has officially asked us to participate in negotiations. On the contrary, we take the initiative to consult with them and keep them informed.

We are in communication with leaders from Fatah and the Palestinian Authority; in most negotiation rounds, we update them on the situation and listen to their opinions.

We remain ready to implement past unity agreements, but their application is stalled by the PA leadership’s refusal to proceed.

Whoever wants to renew Palestinian institutions must commit to the previously signed agreements, not by imposing unilateral conditions on any faction for participating in elections.
Insisting that adherence to the failed Oslo path is a condition for elections violates national agreements and is a policy of unilateralism.

Our goal is first to stop the war, then to arrange the Palestinian situation based on an internal national consensus. Governance is an internal Palestinian matter, and we will not accept dictates from any outside party.

Our last response to the mediators was viewed as positive and constructive by Qatar, Egypt, and even the occupation’s own delegation in Doha.

It was the American envoy’s response, which contradicted the positive atmosphere, that was surprising to all parties and derailed a potential agreement.

We are not betting on unseen or intangible things. Our positions are based on a clear assessment of our people’s interests, formulated after consultation with the other factions.

The “israeli” cabinet’s decision to occupy Gaza is not strange. This occupation does not need a pretext to continue its genocidal war and crimes against our people.

I’m looking for a fair assessment on what is going on inside of Israel and Mamood OD gives some idea.

Netanyahu on Fox News when the interviewer asked him why Gaza is flattened.  So, he claims that “Hamas boobytraps every single building” — not as a result of Israel’s relentless bombing, shelling, and systematic bulldozing of entire neighborhoods.

Netanyahu stated: “After we move in, we put in an APC filled with explosives and detonate it. It sets off the booby traps and the buildings begin to collapse.”
With this statement, Netanyahu openly admits that the Israeli military deliberately blows up entire residential areas — under the pretext of booby traps — as part of a scorched-earth policy.
This isn’t a defense tactic — it’s an excuse for flattening entire cities and erasing civilian life, while blaming the victims for their own destruction.

Israeli settlers are now attacking aid trucks heading to Gaza as a matter of course — destroying shipments of oil, sugar, and flour. Tires slashed, vehicles damaged, drivers injured. A deliberate assault which cannot be blamed on Hamas any longer.

It’s a ceasefire in name only, used to break resistance morale, fragment unity, and manipulate international optics.

This Israeli-type ceasefire has become a full-blown phenomenon. It has been replicated across multiple fronts: in Gaza, where humanitarian pauses turn into cover for rearming and reshaping the battlefield; in Lebanon, where momentary calm is used to reposition forces and fuel internal divisions; in Syria, where similar ploys are used by groups like HTS to suppress Druze resistance in Suwayda; and now with the SDF, who deploy the same tactic to contain Arab tribal terror while continuing collaboration with occupying forces.

It is no longer just a method. It is a doctrine of controlled conflict, meant to paralyze responses while maintaining strategic dominance. Recognizing and naming this pattern is essential to resisting it.

Reported from TASS:  Hamas’ armed wing, Al-Qassam Brigades, has said that it is ready to cooperate with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on issues of delivering humanitarian aid to hostages.

“Al-Qassam Brigades are ready to ready to positively engage and respond to any request by the Red Cross to bring food and medicine to the hostages,” according to a statement by the spokesman for the Hama’s armed wing, Abu Ubaida, which was posted on the Hamas Telegram channel.

“The Al-Qassam Brigades do not deliberately starve the prisoners, but they eat what our mujahideen (fighters) and the general public eat, and they will not receive any special privilege amid the crime of starvation and siege,” he emphasized, adding that Hamas insists “on the opening of humanitarian corridors in a normal and permanent manner for the passage of food and medicine to all our people in all areas of the Gaza Strip, and the cessation of all forms of enemy aerial activity during the times of parcel deliveries to the prisoners.”

Humanitarian assistance from international humanitarian organizations and UN structures has not been reaching the Gaza Strip since March 2, Israel closed all checkpoints. Since May, Israel has been enforcing a new US-backed scheme to organize aid for Gaza residents, which transfers practically exclusive rights to establish distribution centers and provide food and essential goods to the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). According to the plan, all international organizations involved in aid efforts, including UN agencies, are to operate solely through the GHF.

Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip Khalil al-Hayya said on July 27 that further talks on a ceasefire in Gaza are pointless among the continuing blockade of the enclave. Prior to that, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the Israeli delegation to leave Qatar, where the Gaza settlement talks had been held since July 6, following Hamas’ response to the ceasefire terms. One the same day, US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff announced on social media that Washington had decided to withdraw its negotiators from Doha, citing Hamas’ position as indicative of a “lack of desire to reach a ceasefire in Gaza.” The radical argued that other mediators had allegedly approved the movement’s response, calling it “constructive.”.
