Russia’s goodwill is exhausted
This is a quote from an article by Kirill Strelnikov at Ria Novosti. This is not particularly special or marvellous commentary, but it is typical of Russian commentary in their major media outlets. Underneath, though, Russians are growling and beginning to bay for blood after the latest strikes. I cannot see that there will be a calm in the Russian citizenry. Simple words: They have had it in spades!

At this moment, we are dependent on Russia’s goodwill to avoid a bigger war. Operation Spiderweb over the past number of hours was designed to elicit that bigger war. Not only escalatory, but in Russia’s face.
I would like to draw your attention to the nuanced comment of our commentators, drawing the Baltic, North Atlantic, and Black Sea into the overall theater.
See interslava https://t.me/s/intelslava Numerous attacks with some success on strategic aviation…a general campaign of sabotage and terrorist acts, not only roads and rail… iirc this sort of action is the classical start of a hot war. Well, maybe it is. If so, it ought to be seen in the context of the Baltic and North Atlantic, the Black Sea…and one might recall that two can play. There are nazi target zones too. 😉 I cotton to the idea, for example, that the Russians don’t view the nazi fleet “exercises” in Baltic zone as a mere excercise, which implies that the intelligence services are pretty well informed of the nazi plans and schedule for a hot war against Rus.
We also have a particular Trump envoy, breakfast cereal Kellogg, which means he speaks for Trump for better or for worse, recognizing in the US media that the US is at war with Russia through Proxy Ukraine. We’ve known that for a long time. The US has hidden it for a long time. Because we don’t actively comment on Europe on our site, we need to acknowledge as well that Europe, or at least the EU, is at war with Russia, through Proxy Ukraine.
Russia is thus fighting the complete West, and never has this been more clear.
The West is not intending to leave Russia alone, despite the wonderful words of Peace through Strength and promises of trade. We know already that Trump is claiming that he stopped a nuclear war between India and Pakistan, because he offered them trade, a notion that both India and Pakistan refute and reject, so we cannot believe such talk. The west needs to rape again, because they are bankrupt in all sectors. They are also messianically intent on maintaining their relevancy, perhaps as first among equals, and for this, we have some trial balloons, although that is a different article. We can start with a moral bankruptcy which in effect changes the mathematics and makes their fight even more dangerous.
It is always said that the EU’s threats against Russia are empty, as they do not have the wherewithal to fight (money, weapons, troops). Yet, they are raiding the piggy banks of their citizenry to stand up a fighting army. In war, there is little law, so they will take the first 3 billion from the frozen Russian assets in the West. The US said it will maintain its leadership of NATO, after months of threatening to leave the alliance. Please understand that the objective is not to win, but to wage war and seize what falls out of the carnage, precisely as we see in Ukraine and Gaza.
Have you ever pondered that in the two so-called peace efforts in our world, Ukraine and Gaza, we have one common denominator, and that is the US? And neither peace effort is worth the paper that it is not yet written on. We may as well make this three, and mention Iran. I want to caution, do not call the west dead yet. They are still a formidable enemy and at the moment want to set the world aflame in all sectors.
Let’s, for a moment, look at Brian Berletic’s explanation. He posits that all the tough talk and pretended anger from the US toward the EU is just hot air.
The objective is to encourage the EU to increase its defense spending to create a two-pronged threat to Russia, a veritable division of labor. Entangled in that objective is a systematic gathering of US proxies, and the big ask is to spend more on ‘defense’. The very same is happening around China, and we saw that so clearly in Hegseth’s speech at the Shangri-La Dialogue just yesterday, asking for more money to be spent on defense, which is, of course, offensive and has nothing to do with defense.
We can see the US gathering proxies, as they have no friends, asking for increased defense spending, and creating blocs in the Far East; their bloc toward Russia is already in place. Now the proxies have to provide the money, the men, and the weapons. We only have to watch the statements of the German leadership toward Russia. It is unclear at the moment who the first target is. It is said that the first target is Russia, and then China. We need to review that concept one more time, as it appears the first target is the one who shows weakness first.
In my view, after the recent attacks on Russia (See Daily Chronicles), we have collectively, and Russia specifically, reached a critical point. Russia may continue with its stellar military SMO, expanding the so-called safe zone, or Russia may decide it is time for a change in strategy.
Either way, if Russia considers the drone attacks on its deep rear airfields as attacks on its nuclear triad, we are on the brink of more war, the type of which is to be determined.
It is a double-edged sword to call war. It is irresponsible to call victory before the last shooting is over. At this moment, suffice it to say that Icarus is flying too close to the sun, and the wax in his wings is softening. In another depiction, we could be looking at a repeat of Pearl Harbor 2.0.
We wait for Russia, and the fat lady already sang last week, with their major diplomatic effort from all their diplomats across all channels, to warn the world.
Is “reponse” the best? Quid pro quo? Who’s in charge? (hint…not the nazis) My gut says seize even more the initiative…nazi HQ’s go kaputski. They say in Soviet Time there were sleepers in the several pirate lairs…maybe still? In life the indirect approach is generally best. When a fella swings… Read more »

these drones attacks on strategic bases appear in reality more limited than being gleefully boosted in social media. Yet they keep adding to the unholy pressure on Russian authorities: “we’ve crossed your redest lines, and breached the nuclear triad readiness forces! What are you gonna do?” This is not mere… Read more »
agreed – it is indeed the central dilemma of the time – how to defeat the West without fighting WWIII, which would be too advantageous for the west in the end. Would Russia start getting proxies to commit similar terrorist acts in the west? Never. That is the issue isn’t… Read more »
The West would look like Gaza in weeks or perhaps a few Russian cities are spared when the rest of the world’s cities are vaporized. I assume in a nuclear war that the U.S. will destroy the cities of even countries such as India and Japan so that they are… Read more »
if they respond as forcefully as required, per their own public declarations and the updated nuclear war posture, it will cause much of the lukewarm and fickle global south to flee them, isolating them, when can least afford it. So, much of the Global South is also run by comprador… Read more »
The bar is high with the civilized.
Russia’s partners being courted to form the new World-System are China, ASEAN, Africa, Muslim Mir, and socialists in Latin America, India, Orthodox lands.
How can they accept Russia if Russia uses same disproportionate genocidal weapons as mankind’s common Enemy?
These considerations chain Russia
A nuclear response seems disproportionate (and as I have said I do not see why it is required, the attack being more like 9/11 than Pearl Harbor). As for a conventional response, the Washington Pact and Uncle Slaughter have been imploring for it for a *long* time.
How come an imperialist bully like India gets a place in your ‘new world system’?
They’ve shown clearly that when push comes to shove, they stand with the West.
I refer to socialists among them. The current elite capture by compradores is transitory. India is land of 1.5 B that founded NAM. Most care not for Hindutva or fascism or the West..
For example, Russia, China, or Iran have worse elite elements. We do not condemn the whole
PS If there are pinpricks do not threaten the existence of the state or its ability to respond to nuclear threats. Even if a few nuclear capable bombers got damaged I would think they got plenty left. I do not see why a nuclear response is required yet. — A… Read more »
completely agree, this is a beat up. I do not think Russia ever will or ever needs to go nuclear. They can do enough without it if required. And i don’t believe that the west still can with impunity. That’s detente 🙂
