Dmitry Peskov Statement

Dmitry’s briefing was longer than usual, so he deserves his own space today. These are the key statements (with comments by me) as taken down by Ria Novosti:

🔹There are no specific details about the date and place of a possible meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump; [This is despite the bellowing by Trump that he and Putin will speak. Trump is getting desperate because neither President Putin nor President Xi Jinping is falling over backward to speak with him.  This has something to do with the differences between the leaders of Sovereign Civilizational States and the head of crusaders in-depth, but probably simply good manners.  Trump’s daily press routine is not considered diplomacy and nobody is going to jump at his command ]

🔹Russia continues to hold contacts with the US at various levels and on various topics;

🔹The visit of RDIF CEO Kirill Dmitriev to Washington is possible, contacts between Russia and the US continue; [These are discussions on diplomatic normalization. Dmitriev is the head of Russian external business relations. We will see what comes from the art of this deal]

🔹Trump’s plans to travel to Saudi Arabia in May are not connected to Russian President Vladimir Putin in any way;

[Accurate, it all has to do with money. We have to remember those photos of Trump and the Saudis in a dark room with their hands on a shining orb – like comic book villains.  This tells you all you need to know about the Saudis.  Who else was there?  The Egyptian President.  News out is that Trump will meet Syrian headchopper President Al-Sharaa during his Saudi Arabia visit next month — Israel’s i24NEWS – The expected meeting is arranged by Saudi Crown Prince MbS]

🔹Russia’s decision to join a moratorium on strikes on energy facilities eloquently demonstrates Moscow’s desire to achieve peace in Ukraine;

🔹Russia continues to adhere to a moratorium on attacks on energy facilities in Russia and Ukraine;

🔹Putin remains open to peace negotiations, search for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine;

🔹Kiev has de-facto not joined a moratorium on strikes on Russian and Ukrainian energy facilities; [The US has received a list of Kiev’s strikes on energy facilities. This is damning evidence that the US does not have their Kiev minion, Zelensky, under control and their negotiations are under false pretenses. Broaden this out to the negotiations regarding Gaza. Same old! Trump wants to announce a peace agreement in the Ukraine as a major drama production at his 100 days in office. The US administration with its infantile cabinet is fraying at the edges]

🔹Russia’s Transneft’s closure of one of Novorossiysk berths related to damage caused by strikes by Ukrainian drones;

🔹Russia will continue to inform the US about a real state of affairs and Kiev’s unwillingness to do anything for peace; [This is calling hammering in the nail]

🔹Kiev does not comply with the moratorium and continues to strike Russian energy infrastructure on a daily basis;

🔹The date and place of the upcoming Russian-Chinese summit have been agreed upon, massive preparations are underway. [I have high hopes for the two Russian-Chinese summits, as we see a strong increase in the value of what Larchmonter called the Double Helix. There will be change]
