Today is Greenland day in Trump World

TRUMP: We MUST have Greenland,

Vladimir Putin addressed a plenary session of the 6th International Arctic Forum, The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue.

Here is a recap of a few crucial paragraphs:

-It is a profound mistake to treat it as some preposterous talk by the new US administration. Nothing of the sort.

-In short, the United States has serious plans regarding Greenland. These plans have long historical roots, as I have just mentioned, and it is obvious that the United States will continue to consistently advance its geo-strategic, military-political, and economic interests in the Arctic.

I must emphasize that Russia has never threatened anyone in the Arctic. However, we are closely monitoring developments in the region, formulating an appropriate response strategy, enhancing the combat capabilities of the Armed Forces, and modernizing military infrastructure facilities.

–We will not tolerate any encroachment on our country’s sovereignty and will steadfastly safeguard our national interests. By upholding peace and stability in the Arctic region, we will ensure its long-term socio-economic development, improve the quality of life for its residents, and preserve its unique natural environment.

Vice President Vance’s wife was supposed to make a visit to Greenland. It became difficult, and nobody wanted to receive her. It was in the press that the only decent-sized tourist company in Greenland (there are only 56,583 people) would not take their business as they ‘did not want a Maga spectacle.’ Then, Vance decided to go with her, and Trump was full-time entertaining the press out of his office to explain the Greenland issue. So, let’s take a look:

Trump: We have to have GREENLAND… You have Chinese and Russian ships all over the place.

‘We’re talking about WORLD peace… international security’.

Uh? World Peace?  (Trump still speaks the word peace?) Are they trying to stage a proverbial assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand?

Vance: Talking from an American base:  Greenland would help detect missiles coming into the US earlier so they can be shot down.

(Hey Greenlanders, they want you as a missile shield.

Vance then states that the US must lead in the Arctic: “We need to ensure that America is leading in the Arctic.”

He says that Denmark has not paid the required attention to the US base in order to keep the base, the troops, and the people of Greenland safe from many aggressive incursions from Russia, China, and many other countries.

Uh?  What is this man rambling on about?

Vance: The general objectives call for investing in icebreakers and naval ships to project American power in the Arctic region.

Aha! Now we get it. They want the Arctic as well. No wonder President Putin spent a lot of time and attention on it in his speech.  It is almost as if he knows.

Vance: He respects the self-determination of the people of Greenland, but they will be a lot better off under the security umbrella of the United States than under the Danish security umbrella. Denmark passed it all off to brave Americans and hoped we would pick up the tab. When the president says We’ve Gotto Have Greenland, he is saying This Island Is Not Safe.

Uh?  Safe for who?  Why is he trying to scare 50,500 +- Greenlanders?

Trump, from his office with his adoring press, that are not allowed to say the word genocide, plays a movie where a so-called bond was born between the US and Greenland from Blood, protecting them from the nazis. American STANDS with Greenland is his tagline.

Uh?  What for?  Who threatened Greenland?

The movie goes: While Germany controlled Europe, the nazis set their sights on the Arctic. Greenland became an unwitting combatant, and the United States stepped in, not to conquer but to protect. In 1943, nearly 1,000 American soldiers (don’t forget the next bit – we have to milk the wee-wee out of this Hollywood moment), WITH FOUR CHAPLAINS, set sail from America to Greenland, carrying with them Hope, Duty, and a Quiet Fear (and FOUR CHAPLAINS).   But their ship was torpedoed by a nazi u-boat and the frigid waters of the Atlantic became a grave. The FOUR CHAPLAINS gave up their life vests, giving their lives so that others might live.

Do yourself a favor and watch it. We’ve seen this pure Hollywood before. But do remember, the movie is pure psychological brainwashing.  So today, according to the movie, Greenland faces new threats from Russian aggression, Chinese expansion, and other countries!  (That last bit about ‘other countries’ is only to make a sound good!)

Bear in mind that the ship sank! Nothing was done; just a whole bunch of sailors went to the deep.

It all sounds so familiar. Deja vu, anyone? Is it only Europe that is aiming for war? I don’t think so. They are even making movies already. I’m watching a WW2 movie.

Let me ask my old and boring question again.  What happens when the world says NO to the current Trump administration?  The answer remains the same.  Violence.

What do we say to the Greenlanders?  Indeed, you are not safe.  You are not safe from these people who want to take you to fight their war in the Arctic.   The next time they visit, they will come with bags full of money and try to buy you one by one.   Remember the previous time when they collected people off the street and offered them a meal only to take photos to display how happy you are that they are there?  And it was false pretenses?   Even then, they used you.  They are not agreement-capable and have no interest in you.  Please know this when you are making decisions.
