Trump was expecting Macron (France) and Starmer (UK) today.  I have no idea what happened to Starmer but RT Telegram (much better than RT site for short snippets) and Ria Novosti in English followed the discussion with Macron.

What Trump says, is very different from what Russia says.  We’ve been following Russia quite closely, and I’ll take the comments from a list from RT Telegram where all the clips are as well, so they are verifiable.  It starts here:  https://t.me/rtnews/83447

‘MAJOR Economic Development transactions’ are apparently part of the Trump / Putin discussions and Trump says Russia has ‘massive rare earths’ and things US could use.

As far as I am aware, Russia has denied thus far that Trump and Putin are discussing anything, let alone the Ukraine conflict.  Russia states that the consular relationship must first be repaired and Ukraine is one issue in a very long list.   Far as I am aware the last announcement from Russia is that they will discuss the ‘irritants’ in the working relationship toward the end of the week in Riyadh.

Will Putin be in ‘serious discussions’ with Trump without letting the Russian people know?

And those economic developments .. will Trump pay in local currency?

This morning, I happened to catch the French envoy to the UN during the speeches on the anti-Russian resolution that was passed.  This envoy says the opposite of what Trump says about Macron’s view.  (Too many people channeling too many other people).

Macron: At a White House meeting with Trump, Macron revealed that Paris & London have a plan for Ukraine’s security guarantees—including troop deployments.  “They will not necessarily be on the front line,” he said, “but will be present as a guarantee.”

Mr Lavrov and all other Russian spokespeople have said that this is not acceptable to Russia.  What peace can Europe guarantee for Russia?  Nothing.

What is Trump doing?  Stories, Porkies or attempting to create Conditions on the Ground?

I guess we have to wait for Peskov or Ryabkov but I am quite convinced they don’t know either.

UPDATE:

Mr Putin had an interview with Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin.  Here are notes:

Russia has no objections to the preservation of Ukrainian statehood, but its territory should not be used as a hostile base against Russia.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is facing many problems because as soon as martial law is lifted, he will have to call for elections, and Putin says his chances of winning are zero.

Putin has not yet had any substantive discussions with Trump about resolving the Ukraine conflict;  (Porky!)

Russia is ready to resume aluminum supplies to US, selling up to 2 million tonnes, this would have a restraining effect on stabilizing prices;

Russia and the US could potentially agree on a 50% reduction in armaments and China could join the initiative;  Trump’s proposal to reduce military spending of Russia and United States is a good idea;

Russian and US companies are discussing joint economic projects.

So, partially, we now know that Mr Trump is dropping porkies, and the US needs aluminum.
