Daily Chronicles

Today, we find ourselves resisting the First War on BRICS in its various salients. We are in madness, in a strategy of chaos from the side of the empire who cannot fight but are singularly talented at fomenting chaos in order to swoop in, brutally kill, grab and gain benefit. The strategy of empire going forward will be one of denial of world development through chaos creation.

Daily Chronicles features issues, small or large, that have the potential to change our world. We focus on anti-human systems that have to go and be replaced by more straightforward and honest endeavors aimed at growing food worth eating, doing honest trade, running an honest financial system, healing people, traveling, building places worth living in, creating cool technology, going to space, and learning useful things.

Trump’s Greenland gamble aiming to “secure” its natural resources – JD Vance

💬 “I think there actually is a real opportunity here for us to take leadership to protect America’s security, to ensure that those incredible natural resources are developed,” Vice President-elect JD Vance emphasized in an interview with Fox News.

💬 “The current leadership, the Danish government, has not done a good enough job of securing Greenland,” Vance declared.

What wonderfully good and caring people! Captain America to the rescue. They are coming to help and secure Greenland. Oh Boy! I’ll use the word in Spanish .. Bastardo!

Hamas demands details of timing and maps of IDF’s withdrawal from Gaza amid serious talks in Qatar on proposed ceasefire

‘Israel’s insisting on a vaguer formula that leaves room for ambiguity – Palestinian sources

Israel said that Hamas does not want to give them a list of the hostages. Well, that is a negotiation issue .. I won’t give it either. The negotiations should spell out .. agree, sign, this is what the parties must do – timetable – give list of hostages and so on.

Romania in Turmoil: Protests Erupt Over Annulled Election Results (aka, if you don’t vote right, and we cannot install a president for you, we just cancel your election).

Thousands of Romanians poured into the streets of Bucharest on Sunday to protest the Constitutional Court’s decision to annul last month’s presidential election, citing suspicions of Russian interference. Organized by the “far-right” Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR), over 10,000 demonstrators waved flags and chanted against the ruling coalition, the Constitutional Court, and outgoing President Klaus Iohannis.

The protests also served as a rallying cry for so-called pro-Russian candidate Călin Georgescu, who was the frontrunner in the annulled election. Demonstrators demanded the court reverse its decision to cancel the runoff, which had been scheduled for December 8. George Simion, leader of the AUR party, called the annulment a “coup” and urged the government to restart the electoral process while criticizing recent government budget cuts and Iohannis’ continued stay in office beyond his expired mandate.

The irony is rich: Romania, a so-called pillar of democracy in the Balkans, can’t even hold an election without foreign meddling allegations or bureaucratic sabotage. The interference isn’t from Russia but Brussels on orders of DC. This isn’t about protecting democracy, it’s about crushing dissent against the neoliberal order. The protests are a warning: the people are waking up. Whether Romania reclaims its sovereignty or continues as a pawn of Brussels and Washington remains to be seen.

Gaza | A Palestinian source familiar with the negotiations tells Al-Araby Al-Jadeed:

⭕️ The circumstances surrounding the ceasefire negotiations are different from all previous times.

⭕️ The technical committees from all parties and mediators have completed the preparation of the ceasefire agreement.

⭕️ The agreement is ready to be implemented 24 hours after Netanyahu’s approval.

⭕️ Hamas has agreed to the agreement in its current form after showing repeated flexibility on previous drafts.

⭕️ The main terms of the agreement include, in its first phase, the return of displaced persons and the Israeli withdrawal from the Netzarim Corridor to the east of Salah al-Din Road and from the Philadelphi Corridor to the east of the Rafah border crossing.

⭕️ The mediators will ensure an unlimited flow of humanitarian, medical, and relief aid to all Gaza governorates.

⭕️ The reconstruction process will begin on the ground with the start of the agreement’s implementation.

(We will see.)

Russian MoD:  85 Ukrainian drones shot down overnight over Russian territory, 31 over the Black Sea. Temporary restrictions on aircraft to and from Kazan, Nizhnekamsk and Ulyanovsk airports have been introduced as a precaution. UAVs crashed into two apartment buildings in Kotovsk, Tambov Region, resulting in several people being injured and minor damage to the structures, Acting Governor Pervyshov reported.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Did you know that 80 countries had elections during 2024?  And in most of them the electorate signalled that change is necessary and if they did not get their change, they denied the election results.   Old alliances broke down, new ones were formed and the Europeans are in travail because their leaders in general are being kicked out.

Edmundo González, Venezuela, the latest addition to the “fake president” club (joining the likes of Juan Guaidó, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, and Salome Zourabichvili), sends a shoutout from Spain, thanking Israel for backing his imaginary government and slapping sanctions on his own people.

Elon Musk has not previously come out of the closet being a crypto zionist. Now he has. Elon Musk has confirmed he serves Israel. In addition he is a warmonger: “We have no choice but to eliminate the people who would oppose the state of Israel.” He said this in the interview with the AfD’s leader, Weidel. Musk is Trump’s softcore regime changer. (Prove me wrong lol).

🔹🔹🔹🔹

The Brazilian government has stated that it will adhere to the “democratic process” and accept Nicolás Maduro’s inauguration, condemning any actions that might hinder or jeopardize the Venezuelan constitutional process.

(Of course of course .. you’ve done the damage and now you can afford to seem like the good guys.)

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Where on earth to start today as the chaos factor reigns everywhere?  I’m waiting for news on Venezuela’s inauguration today.  Extreme violence is not ruled out.  Yesterday the streets were packed with caravans of supporters of President Maduro and other caravans of destabilizers using lies and the usual online chaos tactics.  Venezuela has gone all out to avoid violence today.

UPDATE: Nicolas Maduro has been inaugurated as Venezuelan President in Caracas. He pledged that his new term would be one of peace, equality and democracy.

(Waiting for an attempted coup.

Britain has imposed sanctions against the judges of Venezuela’s high court, and security forces members who “undermined democracy and threatened their citizens’ basic human rights”. The United States imposed sanctions on eight Venezuelan officials and increased to $25 million the reward it is offering for the arrest of President Nicolas Maduro.)

🔹🔹🔹🔹

“Some leave a mark in history, while others only leave a mess,” said Maria Zakharova regarding U.S. sanctions before Biden’s departure.

A raft of sanctions rolled out today from the empire on Russia, targeting energy, mining, and metallurgical sectors, along with key officials and companies.  It is impossible to summarize:

Sanctions on individuals:

– Russian Deputy Energy Ministers Roman Marshavin and Eduard Sheremetyev, as well as several department directors from the Ministry of Energy, including Pyotr Bobylev, Vadim Pavlov, Dmitry Semenov, and Artem Verkhov.
Leaders of major corporations, such as Alexander Dyukov (Gazprom Neft), Vladimir Bogdanov (Surgutneftegaz), Vadim Vorobyov (Lukoil), Nail Maganov (Tatneft), Yusuf Alekperov (Welltech), Sergey Kudryashov (Zarubezhneft), and Vladimir Chernov.

– Alexey Likhachev, CEO of Rosatom, Russia’s nuclear energy giant.

Sanctions on companies and entities:

– Over 30 Russian oilfield service companies, as well as Gazprom Shelf Project and 27 subsidiaries of Gazprom Neft and Surgutneftegaz.

– 183 tankers transporting Russian oil, in an attempt to disrupt the country’s energy exports.

– Dozens of oil traders and service firms accused of supporting efforts to expand Russia’s oil production capabilities.

The U.S. is also targeting Russia’s mining and metallurgical industries, imposing sanctions on those it claims are linked to future development projects.

It is Friday and the Yeminis are gathering.  Israel & the US attacked several areas (12 airstrikes) in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, including near Al-Sabeen Square, where crowds gather for Friday’s million-man march.  The city of Hodeidah and its port have also come under attack.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Los Angeles wildfires – A small column is incoming on the not-always-schadenfreude comparing burnt-out areas in Los Angeles with bombed-out areas in Gaza.  To the eye, and having seen many Gaza destruction zones over the past year and two months, the Gaza images look quantitatively worse.  The anger is growing.    Here is one:

🔹🔹🔹🔹

“Israel,” partnered up with the US, has so far killed at least (being extremely conservative here) 8% of Gaza’s population.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Two just released prisoners stated that they met Dr. Abu Safiya inside a notorious prison. According to released prisoner Mohammed Al-Ramlawi, Abu Safiya endured mistreatment and abuse by the occupation forces during his arrest and suffered both physically and psychologically due to beatings and humiliation.  Action to pressurise for his release is ongoing throughout the world.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Our resistance online is on fire, commenting on an Elon Musk interview: Here is Vanessa Beeley:

Elon Musk spreads deliberate lies that Ayatollah Khamenei calls for “killing Americans.”

Elon – you are deliberately lying! “Death to America” means the deep state, the system, and its policies, not civilians. Here are Ayatollah Khamenei’s own words.

https://t.me/VanessaBeeley/35312

Ayatollah Khamenei has never called for the killing of American civilians and Iran has never killed American civilians in its history, they have only gone after legitimate targets (military forces, state institutions – in countries which they illegally occupy like Iraq and Syria).

Elon, you are gearing up for another Mossad/CIA false flag & American blood will be on your hands by falsely blaming it on the Islamic Republic!

Most analysts think that Gaza is ‘finished’, or fallen.  Zion is pouring money in to try and repair their image in the rest of the world, but the Global Majority would not have it.  We’ve all seen this genocide firsthand.

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has reported that at least 74 children were killed in Israel’s relentless violence in the Gaza Strip during the first week of 2025.   Statistics show that since the beginning of Israel’s genocide in Gaza, the kill rate for children has been one child per hour.

We cannot tolerate this empire any longer.

Klimenko, the former adviser to the President of Russia on Internet development, said that Telegram has been hijacked by Western Intelligence Services and it could follow the path of YouTube.

“Telegram will continue to restrict the access of Russian channels. Relatively speaking, the history of YouTube repeats itself. I would imagine that things will probably follow the same scenario as YouTube.
Telegram, I suspect, will be a little more difficult for a thousand reasons. I think it’s probably fair to expect us to launch our own messenger. In fact, Pavel Durov apparently collaborated with Western special services. Now they demanded more and more from him. Its size has become high. They are forcing him into the legal field of EU and US.”

🔹🔹🔹🔹

The Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act:  The US House passed legislation to sanction the International Criminal Court (ICC) for what it calls “unwarranted targeting of Israel”.

The bill, called The Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act, would sanction any individual working to investigate, arrest, detain, or prosecute American citizens or an official from an allied US country, including Israel.

The bill also implies US visa denials for designated ICC officials and their immediate family members, as well as individuals providing “financial, material, or technological support” to the organization.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly decided to skip Donald Trump’s January 20 inauguration as US president, according to a senior aide.  (There is much speculation that the honeymoon is over – trouble is brewing in paradise – let’s watch).

Results of the first round of the Lebanese presidential elections: 71 votes for Joseph Aoun, 37 blank ballots, 4 invalid ballots, and 16 other names.

After failing to meet the required 86 votes, the session will take place again in two hours.  This is the 12th time that Lebanon has attempted to elect a President within the last two years.  This is why Hezbollah acts outside of the Lebanese government.  The candidate supported by Suleiman Franjieh, the head of the Christian Mardah party, just withdrew from the race.

UPDATE:  Wow, they managed it.  PressTV reports that Army Chief Joseph Aoun has been elected as the new President by the Lebanese Parliament, with 99 out of 128 votes.

Marwa Osman reports  (there is a certain level of sarcasm here):

Army Chief JosephAoun has officially been elected as Lebanon’s new president, marking a significant moment in the country’s political landscape. Despite being a political newcomer, Aoun’s position as head of one of Lebanon’s most respected institutions has bolstered his appeal.

Widely regarded as the favored candidate of both the United States, a staunch supporter of the Lebanese army, and regional power Saudi Arabia, Aoun is seen as the best-equipped to navigate Lebanon through its fragile ceasefire and crippling financial collapse.

Turning 61 on Friday, Aoun, known for his “personal integrity,” is now tasked with stepping into the void left by Michel Aoun—no relation—whose presidency ended in October 2022

January 8

State of the war: The U.S., Israel, and the EU are now weakening entities. Hence they attempt to acquire more territory to expand their projects and practice area denial on others. In doing so, they will change their political dynamics and rhetoric to further their objectives. The current developmental trajectory is now a gloves off, brutal fistfight with no limits – the other guy must die!

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Lebanon has a caretaker president.  On Thursday, Lebanon’s parliament will convene to elect a president, with Chief of Staff Joseph Aoun the strongest contender. Could he oversee the disarmament of Hezbollah in the south, or will Israel cement its presence in a ‘security zone,’ like in the ’90s?

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Heating up in Venezuela before Friday’s presidential inauguration:

Venezuela arrested 125 foreign nationals, including one Israeli, on suspicion of being US mercenaries aiming to destabilize the country. The arrests followed an assassination attempt on Executive Vice President Delcy Rodriguez. President Nicolás Maduro accused Argentina and the US of backing violent plots, stating, “The empire is the empire. We were born to defeat empires.”

And in the region, in Chile:

Almost a manhunt going on for former Israeli soldier Saar Hirshoren, currently traveling in Chile, under the basis of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

They accuse Hirshoren of “deliberately destroying residential neighbourhoods, cultural sites and essential facilities in Gaza, committing inhumane, cruel and degrading acts, causing ethnic cleansing and forced displacement of the population.”

Lawyer and former Chilean ambassador Nelson Hadad emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating the arrest must take place “before the imminent escape attempt.”

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Mexican President Claudia Scheinbaum pushed back at Trump’s plan to rename the Gulf of Mexico ‘Gulf of America’.  She proposes renaming former Mexican territories in the southern U.S. as “Mexican America” in response to Trump’s attempt to rename the Gulf of Mexico, which she said is recognized by the UN.  She shared a map of Mexico before the Mexican-American War between the United States and Mexico (April 1846–February 1848) when the US annexed Texas in 1845 and from a dispute over whether Texas ended at the Nueces River (Mexican claim) or the Rio Grande (U.S. claim). The war resulted in the United States’ acquisition of more than 500,000 square miles (1,300,000 square km) of Mexican territory extending westward from the Rio Grande to the Pacific Ocean.

She said that Trump is deeply mistaken, joking that he thinks “Felipe Calderón is still president”, referring to the drug cartel-linked right-wing US puppet who governed Mexico from 2006-12. She added that now, “in Mexico, it is the people who govern”

Scheinbaum said: ‘Mexican America, that sounds nice.’

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Quotes: Imam Khamenei:

The enemy’s soft power is creating a gap between reality and public perception. Today, the essential and important task for our media organizations is to tear down the illusion of the enemy’s power. Do not let enemy propaganda affect public opinion.

Paying attention to America’s interests is a threat to democracy.

One of the constant demands of imperialism, especially the U.S. government, is that the leaders of countries, including the Islamic Republic, consider America’s interests in their decision-making. They convey this request to our officials through various means.

This unjust demand has been raised in various fields, including economic, cultural, foreign policy, and even in minor issues. They want changes to be made that would serve American interests.

I emphasize that listening to this unjust expectation is a threat to democracy and the republic of the country. This is because the people have chosen their leaders to work for the national interests, not to consider America’s interests.

We cannot live with this falling and failing empire any longer:

‘I want to quench my imperialist thirst’ — Fox News host called for conquest of Canada

“Canada! […] The fact that they don’t want us to take them over makes me want to invade,” Jesse Watters said on air while speaking about Trump’s ambition to make Canada the 51st state

YET .. The frogs are now boiled: It’s hilarious watching the Euroclowns rage over Trump’s comments.

You preached to the world about “sovereignty” and “democracy,” all while being America’s little pet project since 1945. You’re not sovereign—you’re occupied.

They took away your cheap energy, forced you to disarm by sending your weapons to Ukraine, filled your countries with their military bases, flooded them with migrants, and have all the Euroscum in Brussels firmly by the balls.

Slow-boiled frogs are cooked … Good luck!

Russia shoots down dozens of Ukrainian drones – MOD
Incoming UAVs targeted seven regions, the Defense Ministry has said
Air defenses destroyed 32 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory overnight, the Defense Ministry in Moscow said on Wednesday.
NATO’s total losses in Kursk are now over 50,000.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Venezuela’s president reports that they’ve detained 8 Venezuelan foreign mercenaries who were preparing terrorist attacks on the country’s territory. Three of those arrested came from Ukraine, two from the US and two from Colombia. Maduro says the Ukrainians are directly from the war, i.e., combatants and states the the two US ones are ‘high level’.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Rhetoric following Trump’s press conference yesterday is running wild. Of course, everyone says they are not for sale because it sounds good. What would the reaction be if Russia or heaven’s forbid China, would post a map like this?  Trollery is running wild but I think Trump is serious. There was one comment from a French lawmaker that illustrated the craziness on using military or economic means to coerce Greenland or Denmark to let Trump have Greenland. This comment said that the EU cannot allow the US to use force against a EU country. It is meaningless by itself and has no agency, but illustrates that the Trump administration is planning to walk roughshod over anyone else, friend or foe alike. “All hell will break loose in the Middle East .. if the hostages are not released by the day of Trump’s inauguration. Let me remind everyone again, not a word about genocide, or dead Palestinians or Palestinians dying under rubble.

The US State has just updated its blacklist of Chinese companies supposedly military-related.  This list now contains 134 companies and includes mostly all of China’s tech companies.  https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202501/1326474.shtml

The North American Union (NAU) was the fever dream of globalist elites back in 2008, folding the US, Canada, and Mexico into one neat package, complete with a new constitution and currency (the “Amero”). The idea? To dissolve national borders under the guise of “free trade” and usher in the next chapter of the New World Order. It faced massive public backlash, and the globalists quietly shelved it. Or did they?

January 7

Trump is doing a press conference from Mar-a-Lago.  It’s worse than what we thought.  He is going to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.

He cannot commit to take the Panama Canal and Greenland without economic coercion and military coercion.  The US needs Greenland for national security purposes.  Oy Vey . The chaos spin master is at it.  Lots of talk about the flat lands of Ukraine and bullets flying over these flat lands and the many dead soldiers lying upon that flat land, but not one word about the babies and children under rubble and being shot in the head in Gaza.  That does not exist.  But some of us may pick up who exactly is leading the negotiations really.

Indonesia joined BRICS as a full member seemingly out of the blue. Brazil made the announcement and the Indonesial Foreign Ministery stated:

Indonesia is grateful to Russia for facilitating its accession to BRICS and views its membership as an opportunity to strengthen the influence of the Global South on the international arena by promoting equal and multifaceted cooperation, the Indonesian Foreign Ministry says.

“Indonesia views its membership in BRICS as a strategic step to enhance collaboration with, and also between, fellow emerging economies in advancing the shared principles of equality, mutual respect, and sustainable development. As a growing and diverse economy, Indonesia is committed to contributing actively to the BRICS agenda,” the statement reads.

Welcome Indonesia.

Yesterday, the start of the first week after the new year (happy snakes is still to come in China), contained very little of import and very little real. The media was full of who said what.

Real – Russia progress in the SMO.
Real – the increase and uptick of insane killing in Gaza.
Real – the inability of the EU to stop or even to slow their fall.
Real – the slow realization in the US that Elon Musk may not be their friend and Trump’s belicosity is perhaps to be taken with a grain of salt.

Greenland is an incredible place, and the people will benefit tremendously if, and when, it becomes part of our Nation. We will protect it, and cherish it, from a very vicious outside World. MAKE GREENLAND GREAT AGAIN!”

– “Many people in Canada LOVE being the 51st State. The United States can no longer suffer the massive Trade Deficits and Subsidies that Canada needs to stay afloat. Justin Trudeau knew this, and resigned. If Canada merged with the U.S., there would be no Tariffs, taxes would go way down, and they would be TOTALLY SECURE from the threat of the Russian and Chinese Ships that are constantly surrounding them. Together, what a great Nation it would be!!!”
