Cancel Culture

1) Sometimes it is true that someone has lost all their accounts on say YouTube or Instagram or similar, and sometimes not. Sometimes, alternative writers do that by design, to become more famous and get more community support. It is as if you suddenly have a profile that is more trusted if you’ve been canceled.

This does not happen frequently, but it does happen. It does not follow that being canceled, shunned, shamed, or tossed off the internet makes you famous, and not being canceled makes you a sell-out. This mostly does not lie in the hands of individuals.

2) Telegram just carried out a mass censorship applicable to Europe only, banning access to RNN, Al-Manar, all the Palestinian resistance channels, Hezbollah’s media channel for users even outside of Europe. Telegram has a choice, either carry out these censorships or be put out of business. At the moment, they keep being in business and that is the right choice.

3) Rachel Blevins was canceled from YouTube and western channels days ago.

4) Vanessa Beeley and all of her UK-related programming is gone.

5) Elon Musk is not your friend. He is using the whole of X as a Trump Elevator and he’ll carry Trump into the presidency with his own hands if he can. It looks a little unhinged to me but I know he is not my friend, so, I don’t care too much.

6) X is carrying out consistent cancellation by Artificial Intelligence if one looks at it carefully. I have a long history there, but never really tweeted or got involved. There are very few (less than 10) accounts that I’ve followed for a long time. And then I have set together lists, not public, for a number of others, mainly serious commentators, collections from all over the world. Now I get entertained by nonsense with people who I don’t know, don’t want to see, don’t want to follow. When Brazil kicked X out, the journalists and commentators moved to BlueSky. https://bsky.app/ When Musk started losing serious numbers of previous X users, he settled with the Brazilian .gov. BlueSky though has almost 9 million new users. Brain Mier was saying that he hopes everyone stays with BlueSky now that the legal case is settled.

7) We all know of many that have been canceled. Good Lord! The whole of the Russian Media is canceled. At the moment it is particularly bad as they do not want you and me to know what is happening in the Levant and adjacent areas. They want to do their evil work without vision and I see in the US the likes of Hillary Clinton are saying that the free speech commitment stops (I assume her grouping) them from doing their work. We see more and more fascism and that is all a part of nazism and zionism.

This is but a very small sketch of what is happening in the cancellation world. It might not affect you, but it affects every site owner or manager, everyone who is interested in what is happening in a place outside their world, and everyone who has a group of friends that they speak to on social media because they are geographically a distance and cannot visit frequently, everyone with a hobby, medical groups for example that use social media to keep up to date with procedures, road conditions are shared in dangerous areas, every aspect of our lives. We may like social media or not, but with any other media highly questionable, we need social media.

Idiocy abounds. “TikTok is digital fentanyl.” says Mike Pence.

China has age-appropriate laws to control the use of digital media both in terms of type and time, for children. They also take seriously their responsibility as parents. They do not blame the software yet this method to move the blame I would assume always gets the Americans. Like .. there was an accident, so let’s blame the vehicle.  The blame is pointed to the blameless and people fall for that very simple sleight of hand.

We live in a canceled world and we are going to have to get used to writing things out, things that we can see, but others not. This nifty embed function that we have in our code is only going to embed the ideas of some of our world.

How is this different from the woke left? It’s not. The woke right is playing the same game of silencing dissent, rebranding authoritarianism under the guise of moral (Zionist) righteousness.
