The Brazilian Supreme Court Judges agree UPDATE

Update at the end.

This morning, on checking my usual X list which contains everything I want to see on the Latin American Countries, the Musk attempt to destabilize Brazil took over the headlines. He has a choir. It’s Musk and the moronic Magas on the way to do a little lawfare tactics in Brazil!

If there is nothing more to tell us that LULA is still considered an enemy, it is this confused mad melee!

The bottom line here is this:

They want their Tropical Trump Bolsonaro back, back because if Trump is the one that will save their country, then Tropical Trump is their man. It is hysterical out there.

But now, 4 or the 5 Supreme Court Judges have agreed – X Must Go! Fuera! We are waiting for the last one to weigh in. It is early in this day still, and they may change their minds until the end of the day. So the horserace is not a sprint but it is a long distance endurance race and we will know at the end of the day. So far so good, but I think perhaps the threats are flowing fast. For sure these judges are withstanding brutal threats today.

The votes, as it stands now are consolidated to a majority. Fuera Musk! There is repeated noncompliance by magnate Elon Musk with various rulings from that court.

Musk has labeled Alexandre de Moraes a “dictator” and insulted him for months on X itself. The judge ordered the suspension of dozens of accounts as part of a process involving the massive spread of fake news and attacks on democracy and its institutions. None of these orders were fulfilled, and Musk even withdrew his legal representatives from Brazil, claiming they were under threat of imprisonment by De Moraes.

In his vote, De Moraes cited the “repeated, conscious, and voluntary noncompliance with court orders and the payment of fines” imposed by the court on Musk’s company, totaling around US$4 million.

According to the Supreme Court president, this was intended to “establish an environment of total impunity and a ‘lawless land’” and to facilitate “the activities of extremist groups and digital militias on social networks” through a “massive dissemination of Nazi, racist, fascist, hate-filled threats, and anti-democratic speech.” (Even Pavel Durov from Telegram deleted this type of post).

In addition to the precautionary measure against X, another judicial conflict has emerged with Starlink, also owned by Musk, which has refused to comply with the suspension of the social network in Brazil.

Starlink’s accounts, which offer satellite internet services and have about 215,000 active lines in Brazil, have been blocked by De Moraes to ensure the payment of fines imposed on X. Despite this, the internet company announced on Sunday that it would not comply with the decision against X until the blockade on its accounts is lifted.

The sanctions against the South African magnate’s companies were imposed amid the campaign for the upcoming municipal elections in October, which has heightened the polarization between the far-right, activists and the progressive forces. Former President Jair Bolsonaro claims there is an ideological persecution against conservatives and libertarians, while President Lula da Silva has stated that any foreign company operating in Brazil must respect the country’s judiciary.

Brazil and Venezuela are being targeted with the most extreme measures and Musk and the Magas are shouting the odds. In Daily Chronicles, I reported that the US has just seized Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s plane in the Dominican Republic, claiming it had been purchased in violation of US sanctions.

No, the Latin American and Caribbean South is not allowed to handle their own affairs and build their own countries as they should.

Musk’s latest. If you think that the seizure of Nicolas Maduro’s airplane, and the Musk attack on Brazilian judges is not connected, then you may change your mind. And who is Musk that he thinks he can threaten ‘seizure of government assets’? Let me remind him that the government that he is talking about seized all of Russia’s consular, embassy and other property in the US.

Elon Musk spent the day yesterday insulting De Moraes and opening an X thread that supposedly will reveal how corrupt De Moraes is.  In his spare moments, he sang the praises of Javier Milei.  (Some say we will have him whining now like a little вiтсh for days.)

By the end of yesterday, all 5 Supreme Court Brazilian Judges unanimously supported the decision on X.  In addition to Moraes himself, ministers Flávio Dino, Cristiano Zanin, Cármen Lúcia and Luiz Fux voted to maintain the suspension.

Lula: “The world is not obliged to put up with Elon Musk’s far-right free-for-all” According to the President of the Republic, the Supreme Court’s decision could serve as an example for other countries

I have to say it and it feels good!  We had too few opportunities to say this over the recent past.

 VIVA BRAZIL!

All political factions in the USA support and advance the interests of the American Empire and its dictatorship over the world. All of them. Elon Musk represents the Republican faction of this Imperial American dictatorship–as opposed to someone like Mark Zuckerberg, who represents the Democrat faction of this Imperial American… Read more »

I think the larger picture is a little more cloudy right now. Bolsonaro is not liked by US state Dept, but Lula is. Why is that? https://www.cnn.com/2023/02/10/politics/joe-biden-meets-lula/index.html The Atlantic Council and NED built much of this censorship apparatus while Bolsonaro and Trump were in office and used it on them… Read more »

Well said, A-team! IMO we need to remain mindful that Lula’s first state visit (in this term as President) to Washington, a rushed one-day affair, could be labelled a diplomatic snub when you put it in the context of his subsequent visit to China. Although, it was two months later,… Read more »

Yes i agree Col, if you look a bit deeper Lula is far more aligned and active with the BRICS bloc than the US Liberals. And I do not agree that he in any way is the Brazilian equivalent of Biden or that the US has even a moderate left,… Read more »

“So while it is easy to dislike Musk, Trump, Bolsonaro, etc. as they are all egotistical buffoons,” It has nothing to do with “disliking” these characters, it is about what they do. Who cares what double talk comes out of the US State Department? its all BS. just pay atention… Read more »

I read some where that Lula’s government has so far been unable to reform the western backed judiciary. This is their big test, and their failure if it happens may give Lula’s government what it needs to purge.
