Venezuela: 2 weeks to elections

Venezuela is still working against almost 1,000 sanctions. While Trump got a shot through the ear, let’s see what he did in his first administration vis a vis Venezuela:

Trump has been consistent with his position. Between 2017 and 2021 he maintained a severe policy against the main leaders of Chavismo, which he even sanctioned through the Treasury Department. In the same way, in 2019, he was one of the first countries to recognize Juan Guaidó as interim president of Venezuela. And that is just the mild start of Trump’s actions toward Venezuela that may even be based on sheer hatred.
