Stunned I Am! – Let’s get ’em to consult to the South China Sea! lol

American resources, citing the CIA, claim that an agreement has been reached between the Houthis and Somali militants from al-Shabab.

As part of the agreement, the Houthis are allegedly going to transfer missile weapons to the Horn of Africa, and Somali Islamists in return undertake to attack Western ships and vessels associated with Israel.

The news is also interesting against the backdrop of the activation of Somali coastal groups in the fall of 2023, while Mogadishu has repeatedly stated that it will eradicate the problem of piracy and concentrate all efforts on fighting al-Shabab.

The Houthis are extremely pragmatic, and Somalia and Yemen have always had significant horizontal ties that function regardless of the degree of anarchy in each of those states. If Sanaa succeeds in launching a “second front” from the Horn of Africa, and not necessarily exclusively through al-Shabab, the maritime situation in the region will deteriorate manifold.

Do you think it is a choice of these Brigades to bombard gatherings?  They have no choice.  “Now, we see that strategy. UNSC adopts US-sponsored resolution on Gaza ceasefire
The 15-member Security Council adopted the resolution in a 14-0 vote

Russia abstained but that was to be expected because the resolution as international law absolutely sucks!

UNITED NATIONS, June 10. /TASS/. The UN Security Council voted to pass a US-sponsored resolution in support of the latest proposal for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, according to a TASS reporter.

The US-proposed resolution consists of seven points, the first of which is a call on Hamas to accept the agreement and calls on all sides to fully implement its provisions without conditions or delay.

In addition, the document states that if consultations on the ceasefire run for more than six weeks, the ceasefire will remain in effect as long as the talks are ongoing. The resolution also calls on all UN member countries to support the implementation of the deal and reaffirms the commitment to resolving the conflict between Israel and Palestine on the basis of peaceful coexistence of the two states.

Amarynth comment: This will help keep Bibi’s seat out of the fire as a first objective. But it is very far away from a solution in the region. It may also have put the negotiating power back in US hands. We will have to see.

Opposition parties (https://t.me/geopolitics_live/19255) have recorded major gains in the European Union parliamentary elections (https://t.me/geopolitics_live/25707), trouncing their mainstream rivals in several member states.

This does not mean that Europe is saved.  Things may become much worse.  These right-wingers may be worse than the current snails.  But there is a trend of upset elections now:  South Africa, India, European Union – so apply that trend to the US election and see what happens to the current administration.  Again, it does not mean that the US is saved.

Barclays attacked across UK over Israel links

Activist group Palestine Action claimed credit for targeting 20 Barclay’s branches across the UK with graffiti and damage, saying they intend to pressure the lender to divest from Israeli arms trade and fossil fuel deals.

“Decades of polite campaigning, petitions, letter writing and lobbying MPs have failed. We will continue to escalate until Barclays pulls its finger out and stops funding genocide and climate destruction,” the group’s statement said.
