A 2nd Final Update for today:  I mentioned this in the comments:  “When Israel started the finalization of their remit to the court, there was an outbreak of shouting but the soundtrack was killed within seconds. This sounded to be from activists. Then proceedings continued.”

It is an essential question and this is why, as I mentioned in the comments, most simply ignored Israel today.  There is just about no commentary and reporting on Israel’s lies at the ICJ.   The collective sphere so far is quiet whereas while South Africa and others brought their case yesterday, people reported in live streams and written streams continuously.

Tomorrow by 6, as the one Judge asked, we will see if Israel can supply the information of exactly how good and how happy the civilians are in specific areas that he outlined.

We will update as the day goes along.  Israel’s first problem is that they have not had enough time to respond.  My comment is to call a ceasefire so that you have time to respond to the world telling you that you are committing genocide.

(I truly struggle to listen to this.  It is like listening to Donald Trump over and over again.  It is like torture.  At this moment he is telling how well Israel polices itself and how superbly the Israeli authorities are in their action, yet, we saw with our own eyes the Israeli settlers destroying aid trucks from Jordan, and nary an authority in sight.  This speaker is now making a case that Israel should continue policing themselves, and that they are above all others – very nicely and in good legal terms.  Next, he will attack South Africa while Israel is killing even United Nations staff.)

Perhaps nothing comes of this procedure and in truth, for me, if it only adds to the overall pressure, I would be content.  It is good to see the facts from the South African side well documented.  I expect the whole massive pushback across the world of which we’ve seen the Arab States present a case of a cease-fire, as well as a process to dismiss Israel from the world soccer federation.  We are still seeing massive street action across the world and the student Gaza encampments.

You know something .. I have been seeking all others reporting to see what ‘our people’ say and what ‘the freedom sphere’ thinks.  It is early in the day, but so far the Israeli comments are not being talked about.  So far there is an ominous silence in the sphere.  Perhaps I am breaking a strike here, we will see.
