You’ve heard of a quad, meet the squad

The west is desperate but not fully down and out yet. We still have some years of the current kind of trouble-making to contemplate and marvel over, and sometimes fall victim to. It will be an active time with no time for navelgazing!

Who is Ukraine or intended to be Ukraine near China? I bet you mentioned a small little island (Taiwan) but in my view that is developing into a red herring. Let us look at the Phillipines, part of the squad and a clear domino in the US’s Indo-Pacific strategy. For my money I would bet on the Phillipines and Manilla being agitated into something resembling the current Gaza quaqmire and the current and past Ukraine destabilization.

According to Chinese analysts is losing its autonomy and becoming a visible pawn to the US who is in desperation looking for friends and will shoot the smaller entities right bang into ‘friendship’ if there is no other way. See, they can bring kinetic pressure to bear only on the little ones, being that they are bullies and torturers.

The squad is Australia, Japan and the Phillipines and now you know the reason for the incessant interference around fishing rights and practices between China and the Phillipines. It is not really real it is pretext to keep the emotions hot.

China feels the squad as a targeted challenge, which it is. The formal reason for existence is to contain China, divide loyalties in the region, inflame emotions, create division and the US will pretend that they have a friend. The US wants to counter coercion and aggression in the region but let us make it clear – it is supposed coercion and aggression from China only.

We can expect to see more regional partnerships being (SORRY!) cackled out to prepare for hopefully regional wars. Wang Yi uses the terminology ‘small cliques’.

Watch the squad, it sounds like dirty dishwater to me. Something like squaddy waters.
