Space-X 2nd test failed.

We have nothing against the space business of Elon Musk, but would recommend that he seriously considers some Chinese consultation.  Given the photos that we’ve seen from Xi Jinping’s visit to the US and the AIPAC summit dinner, perhaps he is even thinking about it.

China put their Tiangong modern space station up with no failures and crashes.  Oh I am sure there were problems and failures, but those were in labs and certainly not ‘on the road’ to space and back.   China’s ‘Heavenly Palace’ or ‘Sky Palace’ looks to be a triumph and it is not the end as the design is modular and other countries if so allowed, may come and hook their own module to the station to do their own tests and research.  When China was prohibited to even send a taikonaut to the International Space Station, I believe that is when the mind of China became convinced that they are on their own and will have to do it themselves.  Somehow the west needs to learn this.  If you prohibit China, they set out to do it better than you, and it does not matter what it takes, and they don’t try to cowboy the endeavor in order to win – it is dead serious and from conception and design onwards they do the work within their ability, hence their methodology of modular design and also test.  The result of the type of design is that the various modules of the  ‘Heavenly Palace’ over the long term may not have the problems of the International Space Station.  Should a module grow old or decrepit, or new technology replace functions, the complete part can be replaced.
