This is what you sound like when you are desperately crying UNCLE but you don’t want anyone to know you are crying UNCLE.

Crying Uncle?   Concede defeat.  This phrase originated about 1900 as an imperative among school-children who would say, “Cry uncle when you’ve had enough (of a beating).” By the mid-1900s it was being used figuratively,

Jab contracts to countries.

These were highly protected and you could lose your very life if you made them public. But somehow South Africa publicized the one that they signed. I have the details here:

The future and upcoming Russian diplomatic cadre shows such promise.  This young woman, Svetlana Lukash, needs a promotion for this press review:

This was a long-awaited step for the African Union to have a seat at the table, but it is almost too late as the G20 has lost its luster.

Russia and other countries will gradually leave the organization in favor of other platforms – Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee Andrei Klimov.

“ The G20 still has some potential for existence, but it seems to me that they have already passed their apogee. Someday we will probably have to say goodbye to this organization,” the senator emphasized.

In his opinion, states will gradually leave the G20 and the organization will turn into a collection of EU and US member states.

“ I think that following Putin’s non-participation in this forum, our country’s exit from the organization is also possible. We must give preference to those platforms that can implement our projects and our ideas. BRICS can do this, the WTO can do this, but the G20 cannot,” Klimov said.

Such an abandonment of a Western platform will speak volumes and form yet another piece of the puzzle of a multipolar world being constructed.

Mr Modi chose this G20 to soft-launch India’s new name.  It is not formal yet, but strongly discussed in Indian/Bharatian climes.

It is necessary to wait for the formal G20 Declaration. Modi said there is an agreement and from that moment onward, everyone immediately knows what is in it. I’ve just compared two summaries and everyone does not know what is in it. Gossip that may be most prescient however is that the paragraph on Ukraine is intentionally left blank. Now I don’t know if that is true, but if so, the Country 404 descriptor that we often use would be quite comical.

G20

A fleet of airplanes are landing and taking the G20 leaders to the summit in New Delhi.  Already the US and UK are trying to make this summit about Ukraine, just like the previous times.  All I expect from this summit, is a seat for the African Union but that will be subject to elbow twisting.  “Say something nice about Ukraine and Zelensky, and say something bad about Putin and Russia, and we will vote for this seat.”

Update … Uhm …. perhaps my expectations are low and Russia is going to create some chaos.  How delicious that would be.  This just appeared on Sputnik:

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia expects the final G20 document to cover in detail the issue of settlements in national currencies, Dmitry Birichevsky, director of the Department of Economic Cooperation at the Russian Foreign Ministry, told Sputnik.
“Our representatives are now working on it [the final document], they are already in New Delhi… This year, we expect detailed coverage of the topic of the global monetary and financial system, the issue of settlements in national currencies,” Birichevsky said when asked what results Russia expects from the G20 and what it would like to see in the final document.

Going slowly insane over a smartphone

The US response to anything China is ludicrous and reaching levels of ridiculous spectacle where they keep shooting themselves in the foot.  So what happened is that over the past few years, the US sanctioned Huawei to the degree that they think they’ve put it out of business.  The US sanctioned all electronic chips and chip business from ever reaching China ever again in their feverish-sanctioned minds.  Huawei promptly builds its own phone  on a Chinese developed chip – Its Mate 60 Pro is powered by the new Kirin 9000s chip whose processor runs on the 7 nanometre technology, precisely the kind of advanced chips that Washington wants to deny China.  The US goes insane and calls its White House National Security Advisor to comment on a chip in a smartphone.  For crying out loud, it is a phone!

But underneath this, is the realization that US sanctions can be overcome if you get some smart minds on it.  The Ukraine is basically lost, EU sanctions killed themselves, sanctions against Russia is a miserable failure, and now sanctions against China does not hold up.    Together with de-dollarization and BRICS and SCO and ASEAN and others, the bell is certainly tolling.  We just don’t know who is tone deaf.

White House’s National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan wants to analyze Huawei Technologies’ new phone chip in precise technical details.

“I’m going to withhold comment on the particular chip in question until we get more information about precisely its character and composition,” Sullivan told a White House briefing on Tuesday.

Huawei turned a knife, and released its latest phone during US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo’s high-profile mission to China.  She accomplished nothing really.  But, the word from China is that

the chip war is now a patriotic war …,

and China cannot afford to lose.  The Chinese citizens are solidly behind Huawei, a company that they love.  The new phones are selling at an outrageous pace and chips are now the proverbial challenge.  The Chinese folks so love a challenge!

This is such a non-productive way to work with China, but then again, the idea is not to actually work with China – the idea is to dominate China and it is an idea whose end has arrived.  May I remind you, the US would not allow China to the International Space Station or access to the technologies.  China turned around and built their own Space Station.

Soloviev Live: Interview with Alex Jones

Harris at the ASEAN Corral.

Today, Kamela Harris caused a shouting ruckus at the EAST ASIAN Summit. She was the one shouting.

The Chinese Spokesperson:

“It is learned that the US delegate hurled accusations at China on Taiwan and the South China Sea at the East Asia Summit today.

She was there to throw a hissy fit, in order to break the work of the summit and was incredibly rude.

The Chinese Spokesperson continued:

The accusations made by the US delegate were groundless and inconsistent with facts. We are firmly against it and will not accept it. We have made serious démarches to the US.

Let me stress that the Taiwan question is purely China’s internal affair which brooks no foreign interference. The biggest threat to peace in the Taiwan Strait stems from separatist activities for “Taiwan independence” and the foreign connivance and support they receive. To effectively uphold cross-Strait peace and stability, it is absolutely necessary to firmly oppose “Taiwan independence”. We urge the US to earnestly abide by the one-China principle and the three China-US joint communiqués, stop using the Taiwan question to interfere in China’s internal affairs and take concrete actions to uphold cross-Strait peace and stability, not otherwise.

Certain non-regional country has sought to stir up trouble, incite confrontation and jeopardize regional peace and stability in the South China Sea. China has always opposed that. China and ASEAN countries are making active efforts to advance the consultations on a code of conduct in the South China Sea. Countries outside the region need to respect the efforts made by regional countries to develop rules and uphold peace and stability in the South China Sea.

What happened at this East Asia Summit shows that the overwhelming majority of countries believe in strengthening cooperation through constructive dialogue and friendly consultation to jointly foster a regional epicentrum of growth. The US deliberately deviated from the theme of the meeting to sour the atmosphere for cooperation. This runs counter to the wish of the people in the region. It reveals the actual role of the US as a disruptor and saboteur of East Asian cooperation and regional stability. No one echoed the US’s false accusations at the summit anyway. What the US has done will only make itself look bad and backfire on itself.

The US media was seeded to spread the story.  Global Times is taking no prisoners and their first media headlined:  “US media’s vicious calculation to make ASEAN victim of US Indo-Pacific Strategy”

Later we had:  “ASEAN Summit concludes with fruitful result despite US interference”

Is this the new US strategy?  To shout their chosen opponents down?  Is this all they have left? Kamala Harris shouting?  It won’t work in Asia. It is counter to their ethos in communication. Harris is now poison and so is the US current administration.

Dmitry Polyanskiy explains the current staff movements in Ukraine. Dmitry is part of Russia’s permanent mission to the UN – First Deputy.

A view on the “counteroffensive” from Ukraine:

The long-awaited counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, anticipated by the West, turned out to be disappointing. Over the course of three months, the Ukrainian army achieved only minor progress in pushing back the Russians, but it still has yet to go beyond the so-called “gray zone” in front of the first main line of Russian defense.

During the first two weeks of the counteroffensive alone, around 20% of the weaponry sent by Ukraine to the battlefield was damaged or destroyed. According to almost all reports on the combat actions, the Ukrainian troops suffered significant losses. All nine brigades that NATO armed and prepared for the counteroffensive suffered heavy casualties on the battlefield. It turned out that the Ukrainian Armed Forces not only failed to organize an equal battle but were also poorly prepared for a blitzkrieg, encountering a well-prepared defense by the Russian army.

As a result, many officials in the West now acknowledge that Ukraine is doomed to fight a war of attrition in which it is unlikely to win. The conflict is slowly transforming from an equal struggle into an unequal one, and the tactical advantage provided by the length of the front line is now turning into a deep vulnerability.

Nevertheless, the blame for the ultimately failed counteroffensive will be placed on Ukraine and Zelensky by the West. Therefore, there is currently a process of shifting of responsibility among the Ukrainian elite, as they play behind-the-scenes games to avoid becoming another “sacred sacrifice” and to avoid the failure in front of their Western sponsors”

From RT India:  US Considering Assassination of New Leadership in #Niger – Russian External Intelligence Agency SVR

Blinkin visited Zelensky.

Zelensky made out like a bandit and received more in aid (or was promised) & lots of depleted uranium shells. The story remains the same and it does not change. Russia continues with the SMO on a daily basis and the West promises more money and weapons on a daily basis.  Somehow it is not even worthwhile spelling out the details of this visit, as they are the same as the previous details, and according to Stoltenberg, “Ukraine has never been so close to joining NATO”.   So how many times have we heard that before?  It is like visiting the same circus over and over again or watching a hamster running around its wheel.  And then, for a photo op, they ate at MacDonald’s.  Collective indigestion of ‘Freedom Fries’ come to mind.

There was a Hudson Institute think tank meeting:

How to help Ukraine [the West] win the war of attrition

American think tank analyst Walter Mead came up with a “recipe for victory” over Russia: “The US needs a nationwide campaign against Russian interests and assets around the world.”

The following points of application of US and allied forces are proposed:
– to carry out the “dismantling of Putin’s African empire” ;
– together with Turkey and other countries, to make “Putin’s presence in Syria ruinously expensive” ;
– to put pressure on “the illegal Russian enclave in Moldova” (Transnistria), as well as on Belarus;
– “force Russia out of the Western Hemisphere” ;
– to reduce world energy prices, and with them the income of Russia, “without pushing away countries like India” ;
– “accelerate the degradation of the Russian economy by focusing on restricting access to the most important components that Russia badly needs” .

Have they not tried to do all of that in the past year and a half?  Have they not figured out that 85% of the world is not besotted by dismantling Russia and removing it from the Western Hemishere?  Has some penny not dropped that most are just not interested?  Don’t these fools get it that they need to leave the RoW alone so that we can simply spend our allotted time in productive activities?

A positive marker of Imperial decline at this G20: last year’s communique had “…Russian aggression [bla-bla]…” This year was neutral, at Chinese insistence on top of Russian demarche.. progress and pushback, on top of India’s refusing to invite the 404 Clown.

This G20 (G21 now) had another pleasant surprise: solidarity and increasing “blocing” of BRICS. 7 of 20 are now BRICS members. 12 are NATO or poodles. Indonesia is neutral. It is already fracturing into Empire vs Multipolarity.

Woman asked to leave park for wearing clothes mistaken for Japanese kimono

A net user posted a video online on Wednesday claiming she was advised by staff members in uniform to leave the park for wearing Japanese clothes. According to the video clips, the woman was wearing traditional Chinese clothes in the style of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), during which time Japan had frequent exchanges with and got inspiration from China in various aspects.

The post prompted controversy online, and the park management center later told the media they do not have a dress code for visitors.

The actions of the park staff were possibly fueled by Japan’s irresponsible dumping of nuclear-contaminated wastewater into the ocean, some argued.

The China-Japan tension has made topics related to Japan more sensitive, and some have claimed that Japanese symbols such as clothes, food and cultural products are a kind of cultural infiltration.

Hu Xijin, a Chinese media professional, said this narrative overestimates the importance of Japan. Chinese society does not need to be allergic to Japanese elements and such a mentality should not dominate in interactions with Japan.

Others criticized the staff’s behavior as a violation of “freedom of dress” and personal rights, which has become a heated topic online following a draft revision of China’s law on public security.

(Emphasis mine)
Whatever you think of this, all I can say is, we saw how bad it was in 2022 when the West began cancelling all things Russian, including cat breeds from there. The US in particular dabbled with ‘Freedom Fries’ in 2003 and carried out the murder of German dog breeds after entering WWI in 1917.

For what it’s worth
When I began reading The Saker at the onset of the COVID pandemic, I expected China to be a rational society bereft of the racial strife and double-standards plaguing the USA. Part of that rationality, according to the expectation, would include awareness that Japan is run by US puppets in the same vein as South Korea, Germany, France and Italy whose governments’ actions run counter to their respective long-term national interests. Maybe my expectations were a tad too high, but I’m not gonna let this isolated incident (?) ruin my day.
