I notice a slight change in the SMO. There are more reports from the MoD about attacks on ammunition depots, fuel storage facilities, oil depots, hardware concentration areas, drone control points and such, i.e., infrastructure and materiel.
Following is a widely distributed interview with a Polish volunteer who just returned to Poland from the front:
Polish volunteer Slawomir Wysocki traveled to Ukraine, returned home and in an interview for the media told what is really happening with the counter-offensive, which is so publicized by the Ukrainian authorities.
💬 “The human losses of the Ukrainian side are huge. Western equipment is burning like matches. Things are much worse than is commonly imagined. I counted the graves in Lviv. In the old part of the cemetery there are about 100 graves, in the new part there are more than 600.
In the villages this proportion is colossally different. When I drive by, I see cemeteries along the streets. Each has up to a dozen new graves. There are flags near each one, they are easy to recognize. There are more than two thousand graves in Kharkov. It is impossible to hide these losses.
Two months ago I was full of optimism about Kupyansk. Now we are still managing to hold our ground. It seems that the Russians are doing everything they can to reach Kupyansk, where they will take their positions for the spring offensive.”
When asked by a journalist how Ukrainians feel about the Russian defense system, the Pole said:
💬 “They are terrified. They know that the Russian army has already foreseen everything. The defense system was built by construction companies. This is not a peasant waving a shovel to build a trench. Companies came in, poured concrete, made fortifications in the style of the Maginot Line. And there are three or four such lines. Ukrainians say that there are five mines per square meter. You can’t put your foot on the ground without one of them exploding”.
The journalist further asks, with this situation on the front and the growing losses, are there still people willing to fight? The volunteer replies:
💬 “There are no willing ones. They are looking for them on the streets. In Lviv there are “round-ups”, people are taken from construction sites, from bars. Recently I witnessed such a situation at the bus station in Lvov. Five policemen stood and checked everyone who wanted to leave Lvov.
Eight people were detained in this way. Many reasons for the current situation with mobilization originate in Bakhmut. It was such a plum, such a meat grinder that there was no one left to fight”.
Comment by Amarynth: You may have seen that Zelensky is trying to get the EU countries to return Urainians of military draft age and ability who fled the war. Are we going to see action in Europe similar to Ukraine, where kidnappers drive around in police vehicles to catch these men and deport them to the meatgrinder? There is lashback in Europe because the Ukrainians refugees seemingly cannot behave themselves.

You read it here first! The importance of drones, and with thanks to Nat South.
Putin announced the training of 1 million drone specialists. “We have a program until 2030, we must train 1 million specialists in this field. It may even not be enough, because [the industry] is developing very quickly,” Putin said.
From this academic year, Russian schools began teaching the basics of using drones. It will be carried out as part of the course on basic military training, which will be held in schools in the lessons “Basics of security and defense of the motherland” and will be mandatory. As part of the Fundamentals of Technical Training and Communications module, students in grades 10-11 will gain an understanding of how drones are used in combat and reconnaissance with their help. In addition, students should know the “algorithm for countering enemy UAVs” and “perform practical actions to control the UAV.”

I’m trying to take a break from BRICS. But BRICS does not take a break.
China Invites Turkey to BRICS
Chinese Ambassador to Ankara Liu Shaobin said in an interview with Aydınlık newspaper that China would like Turkey to join the BRICS.
“We want Türkiye to join the BRICS as well. We will develop together with developing countries. We will grow together,” the ambassador said.

So far this day is playing out in a quiet mode, except for Macron. He says:
“Without France, there would be no Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger.” The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, assured that these countries continue to exist thanks to the interventions of the French army in the West African region.
This surely is the way to win friends and influence people on the day when thousands protest in Niger to demand France’s exit from the country shouting slogans such as “Down with imperialism,” “French soldiers, Niger is a sovereign country, leave!” and “Macron, Niger is not your property.” There is of course a strong possibility that Macron the bedbug is very deliberately trying to instigate violence because even in myself such a colonialist attitude awaken a very violent response. It is very difficult not to advocate to burn down the bed to get rid of the bedbug. – Amarynth

The Russian MoD posted a summary of the past week. Here is the full post. I count the KIA as a simple and crude measure for myself and I bold those in the report. It is carnage and this is a very low estimate – 5380.Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation
(25 August – 1 September 2023)
Part I (Part II (https://t.me/mod_russia_en/9533))
▫️ From 25 August to 1 September 2023, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched 5 group long-range naval and airborne high-precision strikes at AFU command posts, radio electronic reconnaissance centres, port infrastructure, ammunition and western weaponry depots, as well as military airfields.
▫️ The strikes disrupted AFU strategic radio interference system control, wiped out workshops of uncrewed surface vehicles used by the Kiev regime to launch terrorist attacks, air defence systems, MLRS, hardware, as well as Western-made air-launched weapons.
▫️ Over the past week, the combat enviroment was the most tense and complicated in Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions.
▫️ In Zaporozhye direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted to launch 44 attacks at positions of the Russian Forces to no avail.
▫️ To reinforce efforts to break through Russian Forces defences, one of the last formation of AFU strategic reserve, namely 71st Jaeger Brigade, is deployed in this direction.
▫️ As a result of committed and competent actions of the Zaporozhye Group of Forces units, all AFU attacks have been successfully repelled.
▫️ Over the past week, more than 960 Ukrainian troops, 24 armoured fighting vehicles of different modifications, 28 motor vehicles, and 45 field artillery guns have been neutralised.
▫️ Severe AFU manpower losses in the course of so-called ‘counteroffensive’ are caused by the Russian Forces effective strikes at Ukrainian armoured hardware at distant approaches.
▫️ AFU formation command purposefully throws manpower in assaults as cannon fodder to cross Russian Forces minefields on foot with no fire support.
▫️ In South-Donetsk direction, the most intensive battles took place south of Staromayorskoye (Donetsk People’s Republic).
▫️ Professional command and control, cohesive actions of the Russian troops with support of aviation and artillery thwarted the enemy’s offensive plans.
▫️ Combined strikes and committed actions of the Vostok Group of Forces repelled all AFU attacks.
▫️ Over the past week, the enemy has suffered losses of up to 1,025 Ukrainian troops, 13 armoured fighting vehicles, 26 motor vehicles, as well as 26 field artillery guns.
▫️ In Donetsk direction, numerous attempts of the Ukrainian Soledar Group of Troops to break through Russian Forces defences near Klescheevka and Maloilyinovka (Donetsk People’s Republic) have been foiled.
▫️ During the week, the Russian Forces repelled 36 attacks in which the enemy has lost up to 2,385 Ukrainian troops, 30 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 75 motor vehicles, and 21 field artillery guns.
▫️ In Kupyansk direction, the Zapad Group of Forces improved tactical situation by seizeing enemy strongholds and key heights.
▫️ AFU units suffered heavy damage due to skillful use of weapons.
▫️ Over the past week, the enemy has suffered losses of up to 470 Ukrainian troops, 22 armoured fighting vehicles, 21 motor vehicles, as well as 18 field artillery guns.
▫️ In Krasny Liman direction, the Tsentr Group of Forces repelled 14 AFU attacks over the past week.
▫️ Over the past week, the enemy has suffered losses of up to 540 Ukrainian troops, 22 armoured fighting vehicles, 13 motor vehicles, as well as 10 field artillery guns.
▫️ In Kherson direction, the main goal of Russian troops was to deliver strikes at AFU manpower, engage in counterbattery warfare, search and eliminate sabotage and reconnaissance groups, as well as impede enemy amphibious assaults on islands.
Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation
(25 August – 1 September 2023)
Part II (Part I (https://t.me/mod_russia_en/9532))
▫️According to the data provided by prisoners of war from the 123rd Territorial Defence Brigade, the majority of AFU personnel waive to cross the Dnieper River as they are afraid of inevitable death from Russian strikes.
▫️In this direction, the enemy has lost up to 230 Ukrainian troops, 31 motor vehicles, and 19 field artillery guns over the past week.
▫️The Black Sea Fleet monitors the situation round the clock in the Black Sea waters by all means of reconnaissance.
▫️On 29-30 August, the Black Sea naval aircraft managed to foil AFU special operation detachment’s attempt to land on Crimean coast to launch terrorist attacks. Russian naval aircraft neutralised four boats and up to 50 Ukrainian troops.
▫️Russian Aerospace Forces fighter jets and air defence units have shot down four Ukrainian Air Force aircraft and one helicopter over the past week.
▫️Air defence and electronic warfare systems have downed 35 HIMARS MLRS shells, six JDAM guided bombs, five U.S.-made HARM anti-radiation missiles, as well as one Neptune anti-ship cruise missile, and one S-200 missile converted into a strike version over the past week.
▫️In addition, 281 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, including Tu-141 Strizh drone, as well as 29 fixed-wing drones were shot down in western regions of the Russian Federation.
▫️In total, 466 airplanes and 247 helicopters, 6,293 unmanned aerial vehicles, 434 anti-aircraft missile systems, 11,587 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,147 combat vehicles equipped with multiple launch rocket systems, 6,162 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 12,602 units of special military hardware have been destroyed during the special military operation.

SARMAT is hereThis is an intercontinental ballistic missile, long-range and heavy. This weapon is one that I do not want to comment on, because I do not know weapons like this, but then again, there possibly is not another weapon like this. It is defensive as well and can change its flight pattern or trajectory, in the leap, so to speak. It is not a missile that you shoot, it curves nicely and it hits something as we see in the pictures, but it can change direction and has a range of at least 11,000 kilometers. That should wake everyone up.
We will let the professionals tell us about this, but I’ve been reading for a long time as this one caught my attention. We try to talk about peace, but stunning developments such as this will force the peace. I remember from descriptions even some years ago while SARMAT was in development, that there are ramifications for nuclear weapons, but this is totally outside of my knowledge base. I hope the professionals tell us again.

More unilateral and illegal sanctions everywhere. This is Kadryov, whose mother has just been sanctionedI had already ceased to be surprised at the illogical sanctions decisions of the United States and the West. And suddenly again – now my dear MOM is on the list.
The fact that she is engaged in charitable activities alone is known to the whole world. Therefore, the American decision can only be regarded as a deliberate and cynical disregard for all ethical norms.
Well, it only unties our hands. If the States have legalized such criminal methods for themselves, then we will not drive ourselves into any framework.
The first and second Chechen campaigns, Georgia, Ukraine – all these are US projects in the post-Soviet space, not to mention other conflicts around the world unleashed on a fictitious occasion. And if somewhere like this got away with American criminals, then it will not work with Russia. Let them amuse themselves with their painless sanctions for us. Well, we will continue to break the back of the Ukronat gangs. We can even reach the Elbe, as Visaitov did in his time in the war against the Nazis.
The State Department feels too at ease, pushing the Ukrainian people to death and hiding behind rosy democracy. It is necessary to crush this shtatovsky abomination.

Open DeceitIndonesia’s military chief has denied issuing any shared statements with his US counterpart during a visit to Washington last week, after the Pentagon published a “joint” press release attributed to Jakarta which criticized Moscow and Beijing.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto said the US statement does not reflect his country’s positions, stating that Indonesia seeks friendly relations with both Russia and China.
“There is no joint statement and no press conference. What is important for me to underline is that our relationship with China is very good. We respect each other, we already have mutual understanding. I conveyed that in the US,” he said (https://www.kompas.id/baca/internasional/2023/08/31/prabowo-tidak-ada-pernyataan-bersama-dengan-kementerian-pertahanan-as), adding “We are close friends with China, we respect America, and we seek friendship with Russia.”

Two issues that I do not have time for. If anyone wants to summarize these for us, I would be very grateful.

2. Tucker Carlson says there will be NATO war against Russia next year.

Russian investigators are not ruling out foul play in the plane crash that killed Wagner boss Evgeny Prigozhin, and will consider every possible scenario, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has told journalists.
“It is obvious that different versions exist and are being considered. Among them is the one [involving a] deliberate atrocity,” he said on Wednesday, urging the media to wait for official updates from investigators.

UAV’s flying
MOSCOW, August 30. /TASS/. In the early hours of Wednesday, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) attempted to attack five regions in Central Russia and the Pskov Region in the country’s northwest. In Pskov, the attack caused a fire at the city’s airport. Several Il-76 military transport planes were damaged there. In other cases, drones were shot down by air defense units before causing any harm. Also, drone boats attempted to attack the bay of Sevastopol in Crimea. The attack was repelled by anti-submarine warfare forces.
TASS compiled a summary of these events.
Attack on Pskov Airport
- – Pskov Airport was attacked by drones. The attack was repelled by the Russian Defense Ministry’s air defense units.
- – No casualties occurred.
- – Air traffic above the Pskov Region and its administrative center was restricted. Pskov Airport will remain closed on August 30.
- – The Pskov Region’s department of the Russian emergencies ministry said Il-76 military transport aircraft had caught fire.
- – 21 pieces of firefighting equipment and vehicles and 65 people are involved in the firefighting effort.
Note: There is an issue here where it is uncertain where these drones were launched from: A neighboring country could be involved. Dmitry Peskov said this morning that Russian military experts are investigating the launch routes of the drones that attacked the airport in Pskov in order to take further measures. This would be a who’dun’it that may bring another country into war. I remind you of Medvedev’s statements.
Drone attack on central Russia
- – According to the Russian Defense Ministry, air defenses shot down three Ukrainian drones above the Bryansk Region in west Russia and one above the Oryol Region in Central Russia.
- – Oryol Region Governor Andrey Klychkov said, however, that two drones had been intercepted above his region’s territory.
- – The Russian Defense Ministry also reported that two Ukrainian drones had been downed in the Ryazan Region and one – in the Kaluga Region.
- – Kaluga Region Governor Vladislav Shapsha said two drones had attacked his region: one was shot down and the other hit an empty oil tank.
- – One drone was headed towards Moscow, but was intercepted above the Moscow Region’s Ruzsky municipal district.
- – No casualties were reported in any of these cases.
- – Moscow’s airports were briefly closed for arrivals and departures. By now, all restrictions have been lifted in Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky.
Drone boat attack on Sevastopol
- – In the early hours of Wednesday, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozzhayev reported that forces of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet were repelling a drone attack near the main bay of the Crimean city of Sevastopol
- – About an hour later, he said that anti-submarine warfare forces had completed their task. For now, there has been no precise information about the number and type of destroyed targets.
Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation
(30 August 2023)
https://t.me/mod_russia_en/9488
▫️On 30 August, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have launched a group strike with long-range air- and sea-based precision weapons against enemy command and reconnaissance posts. The goals of the strike have been reached. All the assigned targets have been neutralised.
Besides the uptick in drone attacks, the Black Sea is increasingly coming into play.
▫️One aircraft of the Black Sea Fleet naval aviation destroyed four high-speed military boats with landing groups of up to 50 servicemen of the Ukrainian Special Purpose Forces in the waters of the Black Sea.

In Gabon, the military has announced the cancellation of the results of the national elections and the dissolution of the institutions of power. The army leadership expressed disagreement with the election results, dissolved the current institutions of power, and announced on television that they do not accept the results of the national elections.
Additionally, Gabon’s borders will remain closed until further notice. It is reported that Bongo is under house arrest.

Medvedev weighs in:Ukrainian criminals announced that they had agreed on any strikes on everything in Russia, “for example, in the Crimea.”
If this is true (and there is no reason to doubt now), then this is direct legally significant evidence of complicity of the West in the war against Russia on the side of the state of Stepan Bandera. A refined casus belli, and for Russia the opportunity to act within the framework of jus ad bellum against everyone and everyone in the NATO countries.
It’s sad, alas. The predictions of the Apocalypse are getting closer.
“In those days people will seek death, but they will not find it; wish to die, but death will flee from them” (Revelation 9:6).
“We are remembered while we interfere with others” (V.I. Lenin).
Like it or not, history is on our side. We will bury you.” (N.S. Khrushchev).
The term that he uses, Jus ad bellum refers to the conditions under which States may resort to war or to the use of armed force. It gets complex though.

The BRICS worldThis will calm down now, and we may have a period to breathe. All we have to do is to track the progress. And there will be progress. I am not expecting much from the upcoming G20 meet.

Macron is scared and the antiBRICS heat is onPresident Emmanuel Macron expressed concern about the expansion of BRICS and stated that the entry of new members into the bloc could lead to a “fragmentation of the world.”
“The expansion of BRICS shows the intention to build a world order alternative to the current one, which is seen as too Western,” said the French President during a meeting with ambassadors on Monday.
🗣 “We are an Amazonian power through French Guiana. I would like Brazil and the powers in the region to accept our membership,” he added.
Citing that the new configuration of BRICS could pose a risk to the weakening of Europe, Macron stated that heintends to “engage with all” partners to try to prevent such a scenario.
An Amazonian power through French Guiana? Or a little stinky colonialist? First he wants to stop it, and then he wants membership. Again an attack directly toward Brazil and to Lula. Note what I said in the long article with my comments: “They visited Western financial gatherings and one that we saw, was the South African Sherpas in France visiting a French financial meeting, as erstwhile BRICS Sherpas, making speeches as well. They really wanted to invite France. ” There clearly was some meddling there. Mr Lavrov and Jaishankar and the Chinese BRICS have some education to do.

The building US electionI am not going to comment and in fact I don’t want to pay too much attention because most of the conversation feels repugnant. The level of hate on towards the other is off the charts. This does not mean that commentators are prohibited from commenting. This is just my personal stance.
Tucker Carlson is doing well breaking open many issues that need to be put front and center – In fact, he is doing better than most anyone else. I listened to his speech in Budapest, Hungary, and even though much is very good, he still manages to come to a highly questionable overall conclusion, i.e., the current US State hates Hungary because it is a Christian country. That is true I guess, but the issue is that they hate Hungary because Hungary does not want to bow their knee. This is what is missing and it is in my opinion a Tucker plank to eventually turn on anyone non-Christian, China being first. It is an opinion and I could be wrong, because then why do they hate China? It certainly is not a Christian country. I’ll post an article from Jeff J Brown’s new Seek the Truth Foundation by Thomas Wilkinson titled, Purity and power: missionary strategy for social engineering.
Having said that, I will follow Carlson in areas that seem interesting. I stress, an opinion is only an opinion and is open to debate.

The three main targets USUK needs to destroy in Europe are Germany, France and Italy. Rummy’s “Old Europe.”… Read more »
Sadly, yes, those three..and is this not a form of looting? Looting the “treasuries” of industrial capacity, productive capacity, accumulated wealth ? Looting being a signal event in classic decay sequence. Yes, Brother, I had seen the Slavyangrad item. My opinion is that the proposition is less credible than the… Read more »
I read an interesting comment on one of the telegram channels, which iirc mentioned: “It would be much more costlier to construct aircraft hangars than to build new aeroplanes.” The solution is simple, as reiterated by Older than Edda, “the security and defense of our airfields and important facilities in… Read more »
If somebody was shooting at my airplanes one response would be to commission the a quick program to make decoys…nice big fat rubber inflatables with shiny aluminum paint “airplanes”. India blocked Algeria’s membership into BRICS, at the behest of France. Apparently, sabotaging the foreign policy of an important North African country in the Global South is the actual substance of India’s so-called “multi-alignment” foreign policy. India is like a Trojan Elephant in BRICS and other multipolar organizations. The Americans… Read more »
That’s a good example of the immature pettiness that lies behind Western policy and diplomacy. They cannot see that the good times are over and so are incapable of adjusting to and working with, the new order. The move has no substance or staying power — a way around it… Read more »
Hi there xvfsb, I question that whole article – actually the reporter’s language just is off for me. Talking about veto, well, there are no vetos. And then the reporter forgot Argentina. Just something about the story is off to me. Not the hands of France – their hands and… Read more »
Hi Amarynth: I don’t know. The Cradle seems a fairly reputable source. Pepe Escobar praised this publication when it was founded. Regarding France and India blocking Algeria joining BRICS, here is an article–from an Indian media source–that is openly boasting about how this was a “diplomatic triumph” and reflects a… Read more »
For me it is a critical misunderstanding that indicates they don’t know what they are talking about. They talk veto. Brics does not use vetos – their principle is consensus. The difference is night and day.

That is it – it is adult space. The African Channel repeated it . because it is an interesting view,… Read more »
