Coup in Niger (two and now brought forward in time so it does not disappear)
The first thread is here: https://sovereignista.com/2023/08/01/coup-in-niger/
Niger’s General Salifou-Mody speaks after his meeting with President Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso.
“Our delegation had the honor and privilege of being received this evening by the President of the Transition of Burkina Faso. During this hearing, the situation in Niger was discussed. This situation is calm, this situation is under control.
We also talked about support. It must be said, we have received very strong support from Burkina Faso since, as you know, a number of ECOWAS countries have decided to apply severe sanctions measures against Niger. But in addition to these sanctions, there is talk of a military intervention.
During our exchanges, we spoke precisely about this situation because we would not like Niger to become a new Libya. And we will combine our efforts so that this situation does not occur. In coordination with our brothers in Burkina Faso, we have decided to undertake a number of activities to be able to deal with the situation, to secure our populations and to secure our two countries.” Salifou-Mody
He is calm and resolute.
The Senegalese Government has announced today that it will send Military Forces to Support any kind of Armed Intervention led by ECOWAS against Niger.
And surprise, Prigozhin (the businessman) spoke out on the root of the problems in Niger:
“I will answer what is the basis for the change of power in Nigeria.
The basis is the economy. The population of Niger has been driven into poverty for a long time.
For example, a French company that extracted uranium sold it on the market for $218, while paying Niger only $11 for it.
You can work with investors on a 50-50 or 30-70 (%) basis, but it’s impossible to give back to the indigenous people of the country, who were born in this country, who live in this country, and who expect that the natural resources of this country belong to them, and according to the Constitution, they belong to them, only 5% of the wealth you receive.
To cover up these economic crimes, the country was saturated with a huge number of terrorists. This enormous number of terrorists, theoretically, should have been controlled by a vast number of different troops, financed by the UN, the European Union, Americans, the British, and others. As a result, the population of Niger, which should have been free and happy due to the economic opportunities in their country, was robbed, and to keep them silent, they were kept in fear for decades.
To show that these thieves and plunderers are needed in the state’s territory, I mean Western countries like France, the USA, and so on, crowds of soldiers were sent there who did nothing but received enormous budgets that were also embezzled at various levels. That’s why the transformation in Niger was simply necessary.
The power that was in league with Bazoum (ousted president) and his followers, simply covered up, allowing the coalition of people who plundered the nation to be present in Niger’s territory. That’s it. Therefore, this is a liberation struggle, a liberation movement for the independence of this country, and God grant them success.”
Waiting for translation but it appears the Chef has really been unleashed. He spoke in the wake of Vicky’s brimstone exit. Is the US offering the Junta “legitimacy” in return for keeping Wagner out?? 🤔 USUK in a panic. Their most reliable longterm proxy is Terra Inc. And the Sahel has a Wagnerite antidote!… Read more »
▪︎ Niger Junta preparing for war. Very rough correlation of forces in attached photo. Niger has tiny army of ~ 20-25,000 and Nigeria may be able to overwhelm and quickly occupy the capital Niamey. But that would be the beginning of its woes. Seen as the unwelcome occupying foreign power, beholden… Read more »

Can we say there’s a pattern now (photo)?? France and others sanctioning wildly in the last day, after the ECOWAS bluff was called?? I’ve treated guys with premature ejaculation who had more hope than this. All this is good news. They were caught with their pants down and with largely terrorism and sanctions in… Read more »
AHH – purely scuttlebut at this stage.
There is gossip that Ecowas has not given up, but is pulling together armed terrorist groupings to fall in, and in this way avoid responsibility.
It is not mere rumor — it is likely either way. I agree with Korybko above. He says this is Plan B, in case Nigeria cannot enter right away. It is actually Plan A.2 — even if Nigeria can enter unprovoked (like Ukie army) they will still send the extremists (like… Read more »

➡️ explosive. The thin line between Noriega and Tinubu (it ain’t the drugs). “Silence is complicity.. nevermind, let’s keep the Leverage.” ➡️ Imperial Plan B: get their Terror boys to attack northern Nigeria, which is then “forced” to invade Niger “out of self-defense.” As the risk of “unprovoked” Nigerian invasion recedes, there are… Read more »
➡️ Moroccan mainstream media Remarkably balanced calm coverage. No overt hostility to Niger and look at language they use of France and the positive terms of Algeria! On this August 06 Hiroshima Day, perhaps more redolent of “the Guns of August” in the confusing and hair trigger swelter of alliances worldwide, some good news: ➡️ Nigerian politician views conflict as now blocked, with last minute deconfliction furiously underway, to save face for all. AHH – is this real?
Let’s hope it stays this way, wise decision by Nigeria: The Nigerian senate has rejected any military intervention in Niger.
This is excellent news! I hope so too. Let us wait and see. If allegations of election rigging are correct, and Tinubu cut electricity to another nation before obtaining the Senate’s permission, and he reshuffled an already corrupt defense brass to his liking a few weeks ago, this may be… Read more »

It’s very interesting to notice that ECOWAS is just a pathetic “House Negro” version of the dying European Union/NATO combo. Hopefully when ECOWAS collapses it will be… Read more »
