We have to talk about the media and what they are doing in India
We have to talk about not only Western media, but the media landscape as a whole. The examples that I will use here are examples, and they are not finger-pointing. But this may help everyone to be able to sift, sort and decide what is real, and what is not. That is one benefit here, but the focus really is on what is happening in India.
I always use formal and professional sources for any serious State level statements. Are they always right? Do they always speak the truth? Heck No! Are the Russians telling us what we need to hear about the SMO? Heck Yes! But at least the level of deceit could be lower than in other media for certain States, so, we use the formal statements, always carefully.
Example Number One – The channels
I posted in the Daily Chronicles a long report from the Russian Mod on the use of Mercenaries and in which countries new Ukrainian recruitment is taking place. https://t.me/mod_russia_en/8334. There is no reason to doubt them, because we’ve seen people in those countries talk about this recruitment. There is also no reason to obscure where the information comes from. It is imminently readable and does not need interpretation. And it is clear that the purpose of this formal statement is to notify the countries where mercenaries are being recruited.
Let us look at the first paragraph:
“Against the background of the disruption of the next wave of mobilisation in Ukraine and in order to conceal the catastrophic losses of military personnel in the AFU, the Kiev regime has stepped up recruitment work in Asian, Latin American and Middle Eastern countries to attract foreign mercenaries.”
They are not concerned about how many mercenaries they’ve killed, they are notifying the countries.
This is what the TG channels do with this.
According to recent information, more than 4,800 mercenaries, mostly from the United States, Canada, and European countries, have been killed on the side of Kiev, while an additional 4,800 have fled from Ukrainian territory.
🔹Several statements from the Russian Ministry of Defense regarding foreign mercenaries have been collected.
This channel continues on to say that they gathered or collected several statements and end on this note:
Translation provided by the XYZ team.
What is the problem here? It is the pretense. Further, it is the pretense that they actually translated as the statement by the Russian Mod is released in multiple languages, one of them being English. Additionally, if they did do any translation work, it is probably very different from the actual professional translation. As we see, they put the importance first on killing of mercenaries, whereas the importance really is on the countries where recruitment is taking place. They accent it differently, and so the message from the MoD becomes obscured with the channel’s favorite views up front and center.
And from there, it proliferates throughout most channels, with an obscurantist message.
So, this is what one has to be very careful about on the TG Channels, even the good ones. I am now making it a habit to check Ria.ru on any Channel statements that are important.
Second Example and this one is serious as it unravels what is currently happening in India but, as the Beatles told us many years ago, it is a Long and Winding Road
The long and winding road
That leads to your door
Will never disappear
I’ve seen that road before.
I saw a report that India, specifically FM Jaishankar, is not in acceptance of a new BRICS currency. Around the BRICS supposed new currency there is an absolute mess of sheer false reporting, but nevertheless, this one looked worth examining. I looked for a second source and lo and behold a second source appeared with a bunch of tweets flowing through that India now stands against Russia. And further, made up noise that the new BRICS currency will be ‘gold backed’ but my research indicates that we are looking at commodity backing and gold is a commodity, is it not.
Let’s take a look:
Source One: “India has made a big declaration amid speculation of a new BRICS currency. India’s external affairs minister, S. Jaishankar, said there are no plans for a new BRICS currency and that the focus is on strengthening the national currency. The statement comes amid reports of new currency discussions at the BRICS Summit. However, this confirms that BRICS is considering alternatives to the dollar-dominated payment system. Some reports state that 41 countries, including Bangladesh, Egypt, Belarus, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia, are even in favour of a separate BRICS currency. But BRICS is not keen on a currency as it could lead to problems in financial sectors. On the other hand, India wants the rupee to get stronger amid “de-dollarization.” https://www.hindustantimes.com/videos/world-news/jaishankar-makes-big-comment-on-brics-currency-plans-amid-de-dollarisation-push-watch-101688387595429.html
Source Two which turned out to be a pusher site for very bad cryptocurrencies – aha, Hint: “The BRICS alliance is looking to create a new currency to settle international trade and challenge the U.S. dollar’s global reserve status. The bloc of five nations will jointly decide on the formation of a new BRICS currency in the next summit in August. BRICS is an acronym for Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. However, India seems to be the only country that remains disinterested in the plans to launch a new currency.” https://watcher.guru/news/brics-india-might-back-out-from-launching-the-new-currency
And then some more:
This writer says: “Remember back when the Russia/Ukraine war had just started, and I predicted that Russia and China would launch their own gold backed currency?
At the time, this idea sounded completely foreign, and I was ridiculed for bringing it up. Today, it just become reality. 41+ countries look like they could be returning to a gold standard.” https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/gold-standard-back-brics-intro-gold-backed-reserve-currency
My BS meter started pinging into the red.
So, at this stage I went back to listen to FM Jaishankar’s presentation and knew immediately, this is a clip taken from a larger presentation and the issue is pulled quite out of context. But, I did not yet know where and what the context was.
And there goes my destabilization meter hitting the red peg with a big noise. Ping ping ping … Why this sneaky reporting? I’ve seen this road before.
Before we get to India, let us deal with the issue of the supposed BRICS gold-backed new reserve currency. There is no agreement currently on the composition of a new currency. What is front and center today, is not necessarily a new currency, but payment mechanisms that would be fair to all participants. We see this being tested everywhere, with currency swaps bypassing the US Dollar. Bear in mind that BRICS and whoever else is involved, have but ONE CHANCE to get this right. This requires careful planning and agreement not in principle alone, but in the detail of composition and implementation. What is known today, is that the thinking is for a currency based on commodities, and gold is but one of those. The expectation is that Dilma Rousseff will talk about it at the BRICS summit in August in South Africa. Also bear in mind that this is not a reserve currency, but in the first iteration, a currency of valuation, in order to fairly value the currency swaps. Anyone that tells you about the supposed BRICS gold-backed new reserve currency, took a wrong turn on that long and winding road.
The actual business of the upcoming BRICS summit is detailed here:

Time for a small break. Up to now we’ve dealt with:
- the built-in bias of the channels and how to be aware of that
- an investigation into the Indian media talking seemingly nonsense and using very bad tactics to push … WHAT?
- And the BIG PING, when it dawned on me what the WHAT is in reality.
At last, we depart to India. So Prime Minister Modi visited the White House recently and he did yoga on the lawns at the UN. We also know that empire wants to be empire, and if you give them a finger they are bound to take that little space, and are very good to enlarge it, literally making you a lackey. Because that is what empire does.
Modi made key military supply agreements with the US, whereas India traditionally bought their weapons from Russia. One of the agreements that Modi signed, is that India will become a center for maintaining and resupplying naval vessels (confirmed by the Pentagon’s Press Secretary), in order to wage the new cold war on China (and prepare for a potential hot war).
You may remember that Modi downgraded the last SCO meeting from an in-person summit, to a virtual meeting and refused to endorse SCO statements promoting China’s Belt and Road. Usually we write this down to a traditional Chinese-India rivalry, but this rivalry is now serious and causes internal contradictions in the SCO. Remember how many times did I say that our new world organizations are being attacked in the style of color revolutions? Wait for it! We have a redhot case of ‘elite capture’!
And now India denies the fact of the building of a new currency, does not matter how far off that is on the timeline. China, Russia, and Iran are the main forces driving Eurasian integration. At the SCO summit, Xi proposed a SCO Development Bank. Putin called for a regional “independent financial structure”.
India opposes these efforts. It wants to expand ties with the US.
This is how elite capture and modern colonialism work. This guy is the son of Indian foreign minister Jaishankar.
He lives in the US and belongs to all the neocon think tanks — Brookings, Lowy, German Marshall Fund etc.
And he writes articles promoting India-NATO alliance.… pic.twitter.com/rjamXM3up3

We also know that empire sneaks into other countries on the basis of human rights. Well, this process is well advanced. The US sent its top human rights official and delegation to Delhi. This delegation comprises senior U.S. officials – U.S. Under Secretary Uzra Zeya, Assistant Secretary Donald will meet MEA officials and civil society organisations in both India and Bangladesh. The official will also meet the Tibetan Buddhist leader the Dalai Lama, in a visit loaded with messaging for the region. (That bolded piece is the first truth that I came across on this long and winding road.
This is exactly why we have to talk about the media, and about India. It so happened that while I was writing this, Brian Berletic wrote on protecting the information space from the western media influences, and he uses Cambodia as his example of choice. He makes the comment: “Only time will tell if SCO members begin focusing on this issue of protecting information space as seriously as physical domains are already protected …”
The Imperial seduction is off the charts. This may help explain India’s current ambivalence and indulgence of Unipolarity: “Tata Group to become the first Indian company to manufacture iPhones… Tata will acquire a factory owned by Taiwanese-based Wistron that assembles the devices in the southern Indian state of Karnataka.. The… Read more »
India enjoys the same status as an ally as Italy in WWII: neither bloc really wanted or trusted Italy as an ally, knowing that they would have to cover for its incompetence, but Germany drew the short straw.
For India to brag to the fou.r corners of the Western world (aka “free world”) as being ” the biggest democracy in the world” says a lot what type of mindset they have. A whole lot WORSE than their “former” colonial masters, the British.
Frankly, I’m discombobulated by the behavior of the Modis and Erdogans of this world. India was colonized, so there may be a lingering colonial mindset there? And the caste system certainly eases adherents into accepting other unhealthy relationships, as AHH points out. The China-India rivalry seems pretty one-sided. Indian media… Read more »
I think there are two issues operating here – maybe more, but two as far as I can figure. The one is that India is truly jealous of China and of what China has accomplished, more or less from the same departure point .. And for that alone, they will… Read more »
