Why China Wins
For many of us SmoothieX12 is daily reading and much of what I picked up as modern warfare I of course received from Andrei Maryanov and his recommendations. For that, I am very grateful. I respectfully disagree with him on two issues.
The first point is that everybody (in empire) is stupid. Yes, true. But this stupidity is a mask for a much deeper spiritual malaise set as backdrop of iron control that the current hegemon strives for and has put in place. This is messianic in its manifestation and the real work is not that of the stupid. We also observe the hegemon today in a state of collapse, so, it is easy to call them stupid because they act stupid. This visible stupidity is a modern phenomenon.
It will take the larger part of the world working together for years to fully break out of the control systems that the hegemon placed in the world. That was not the acts of stupid people, but rather intelligent and in my view, criminally intelligent.
The second point is that of China in comparison with Russia on the military axis. There is no question that Russia is the undisputed master of military craft in all aspects of our world today. There is no question that Andrei Martyanov is an undisputed expert in Russian doctrine and weapons. He has the absolute right to make comparisons, weapon for weapon, between Russia and China and US/NATO. But it does not mean that his expertise automatically carries over to modern China.
Here we have a journalist that lives in Hong Kong and has written about China for years. You can pick up Julian Macfarlane’s article here. It contains a lot of detailed work in a weapon for weapon comparison and this is very similar to the information that I get out of China. Now Julian is not an expert and he has not passed his military schools and so on, and I have no idea what his qualifications are. What I do know is that he lives in Hong Kong and information flows to him about the Chinese military. He is asking and presenting the very same issue that I question here.
Let’s start with one of his final points.
Like Russia, the Chinese must be prepared for an existential war.
How much help do the Chinese need?
Andrei thinks the Chinese need Russia’s help. No, they don’t need it — they want it. There is a difference.
—
But the most important thing the Russians have which the Chinese don’t, is combat experience. Already, the Russians and Chinese are conducting military exercises together. And Russian experience is helping define Chinese strategies for the Pacific Rim.
For many of us, it is the quality of the relationship between China and Russia that informs us. And within their own strategic objectives, Russia will not allow China to lose a war against the hegemon, and neither will China allow Russia to lose a war against the hegemon. In this interim time, they are working together and assisting where the other one wants or needs it. Like it or not. It is a partnership ‘without limits’ in as much as such a thing can exist.
Read the article for the details.
All of us at this time are in a position where the hounds of hell can be loosed upon us by a crazy and unhinged social media very damn quickly. As far as China is concerned, and we are talking more than military here, we have to be accurate and not build polarity where the nature of the relationship itself resists polarity. I have not found in China an analog of Smoothie, talking about their military. Perhaps it is there and I simply have not found it but their style of communication is different. After Nanci Pelosi flew to Taiwan, I saw something that was noticeable and displayed Chinese resolve. The Chinese military did something resembling a mock battle with Taiwan across the Taiwan straits after this visit. Immediately in Chinese media and social media, the cry went up: If you see military maneuvers by our forces, do not post it! Be quiet. Do not disclose photography. Do not tell anyone where our military is. Do not tell which ships left docks, do not tell which aircraft took off, and do not tell where you see military convoys. And nobody told. That illustrates the level of resolve among the Chinese people.
I find the Chinese lauding the relationship on a high level and I don’t see a niggly questioning of Russia as the partner.
I would go with the idea of understanding this statement completely and in depth:
Xi, Putin agree to deepen comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for new era – Chinese Mod
They do not worry about who has what, they worry about a comprehensive strategic partnership and preparation for a change in our world that we have not seen in a hundred years. (I have heard that there are Chinese (Mongolian looking by features and so selected), that are working with Russian soldiers to sharpen up on the house-to-house urban fighting skills. I have no link to give you, but I guess it would be one of those issues that do not have a link.)
Then, take a look at a map, and see how closely China and Russia are aligned even geographically besides the long border. Take a look at the Kuril Islands, very close to China, and very close to Russia. China and Russia literally have a joint strategic geographic objective should we have a war and Japan is involved. Russia stepped out of the negotiations on the Kurils where at first they were willing to talk and fishermen were allowed and Japanese visitors were allowed, plus other allowances.

To reduce that relationship to a weapon-to-weapon comparison, does not sit well with the average Chinese out there. Oh sure, we can do it, but then we have to be more than 100% accurate. It also plays directly into the meme that western media kicked up, by calling Russia the junior partner of China.
How Western political memes are created and spread:

Let us not make the same mistake and call China the junior partner of Russia.
This is what happened in the west to destroy or destabilize the Xi/Putin meet:
- An information campaign stating that Xi Jinping will not come
- Threats against China if Xi Jinping comes
- Requirements for China to condemn Russia
- Requirements for China not to supply weapons to Russia Only the West has the right to supply weapons to Ukraine.
- Statements that any Russian-Chinese agreements will not matter
- Hasty organization of the Japanese Prime Minister’s visit to Ukraine on the day of Xi’s visit
- The death of Chinese workers in the Central African Republic
- Announcement of hasty deliveries of new weapons to Ukraine
- Declassified intelligence documents aimed at blaming China for the origin of the coronavirus
- We began to equip a new military base in the Philippines
- Plus the standard whining about the fact that “China wants to take over Siberia” (a routine topic of Western propaganda)
- And of course, the two B52 bombers that came just a little to close to Russian airspace.
This is what happens in China and is only but one example to illustrate Chinese resolve vis-a-vis Russia.
You will need to view it in Telegram, but this is the language: BAD SPORTS: As Russian and Belarusian sports fans and players alike are banned from displaying their own flag at international competitions, Ukrainian fencer Daria Varfolomeeva feels oh-so-entitled to hoist up an anti-Russian poster in China, where the athlete quickly learned there’s no free pass or prize for playing that game as she is prevented from posting up the propaganda.
Three-quarters of our world is involved in freeing ourselves from the bitter roots of the current hegemon. It will not work unless we stand resolutely and stop worrying about what is not important. I don’t think the Xi Jinping and Putin 4.5 hours conversation consisted of Xi Jinping trying to convince Russia to let them have modern weaponry as per our SmoothieX12. That was already sorted out before the Chinese delegation arrived. I don’t think these two gentlemen bicker about who has what. They may discuss it.
In any event, calling China militarily less than US/NATO, does not reverberate well in China.
While the western core paints Russia as China’s junior partner, the peripheral remainder of the Golden Billion are now painting China as Russia’s junior partner. This periphery includes: MoA, Pepe Escobar, Julian Macfarlane, even the Apologist you, but especially Smoothiex12. Your mirror reflection of the West is no surprise because… Read more »
shuzheng, thanks for your input. The only reason why I post this, is to illustrate the very last sentence of this article. It is: In any event, calling China militarily less than US/NATO, does not reverberate well in China. Now people can see for themselves the issues that are brewing… Read more »

I hope the Smoothie-Amarynth relationship remains as mutually supportive as that of Russia and China. I completely value your analyses, Amarynth, especially your news and appreciation of China. These are two complete civilizations, we sometimes forget. And each one is self-sufficient in its mind and heart. Linking arms for mutual… Read more »
Godfree Roberts also weighed in on this. Could America Win a New World War? — Foreign Affairs. Last year I explained why China dominates the West Pacific. Since then, things have developed, um, not necessarily to America’s advantage. Last year, for example, a US carrier docked at Darwin Port had… Read more »
Spot on. Thank you. The Hegemon and Britain have long been ruthless predators. They don’t quit, they don’t surrender. If they back down it is simply to adjust tactics. They fight dirty and fight to win. Stupid people do not rule the world for centuries. Mocking the clowns and front… Read more »
