Patrushev: Have they completely lost their fear?
This is a long interview with Patrushev on the US ‘summit for democracy’ – machine-translated with light treatment and posted with thanks to a friend who put in the time to get this in a state to publish.ย It is an important interview.
Have they completely lost their fear?
Nikolai Patrushev on the US-flagged “summit for democracy” opening tomorrow
On the eve of the second summit for democracy organized by the United States, a correspondent of Rossiyskaya Gazeta spoke with Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Russian Security Council.
Nikolai Platonovich, on Tuesday, the United States will begin the second summit for democracy, which, as stated by the State Department, Washington will accelerate the so-called democratic renewal of the world. What do you think about this gathering of American vassals?
Nikolai Patrushev: The “summit for democracy” organized by the current White House staff is certainly being held within the framework of the US presidential race that has actually started. It will be another pro-world order meeting where Washington wants to play a central role forever. And dissidents are expected to be labeled ” undemocratic states.”
Once again, the United States will declare itself a defender of international law, while it will definitely declare that the world should live by its rules. Geopolitical opponents will be accused of deliberately false accusations of war crimes and corruption, but, as usual, they will turn a blind eye to real acts of genocide and financial fraud committed with the approval of the White House. Promises will be made to make efforts to feed the hungry and free the unjustly convicted from prison. However, they will not mention that about a fifth of all prisoners in the world are in American prisons, including those sentenced to several life sentences. With particular zeal, they will defend the rights of sexual minorities and impose a “green agenda” around the world, exacerbating the energy crisis in satellite countries.
Hypocritically speaking about freedom of choice, the United States, which has appointed itself the world’s main dictator, will in fact simply mock countries where sovereignty and democracy are trampled on by them.
Washington wants to play a central role forever, and dissenters are expected to be labeled “undemocratic states”
Surely they will repeat that the United States is an example of democracy for all mankind, and the audience, of course, will not want to hear criticism in their address?
Nikolai Patrushev: Of course. After all, the main task of the political regime in the modern United States is to mislead its own population in the context of a systemic crisis in which they themselves find themselves.
Their democracy is just a beautiful facade of the state structure, which is designed to hide the disregard for the rights of ordinary Americans. Anyone who has carefully studied the legal and socio-political system of the United States has no illusions about freedom of speech and expression of will in this country. What kind of freedom of opinion can we talk about when even the former president of the United States is not allowed to speak in social networks and the press on topics of public interest, and the media are the mouthpieces of the largest companies and elite groups.
By paying lip service to competition, the U.S. government has made the country’s economy dependent on corruption and lobbying ties that extend to the White House and the Capitol.
The political process has turned into a clash of corporations that put their own people in key positions in government. They also shape foreign policy, strive to maintain international dominance, create hotbeds of tension around the world for their billions of dollars of earnings on various contracts, the alleged transparency of which they themselves control.
Proclaiming democratic slogans out of place and out of place, in fact, Washington has long been a champion in violating the sovereignty of states, in terms of the number of wars and conflicts unleashed, and in rough and illegal hunting of citizens of other countries.
If the United States really decides to move towards democracy and stop humiliating its vassal allies, we will only welcome it.
At the summit, we will also hear pathos speeches about how Kiev, with the support of the “good” NATO, is resisting the” universal evil ” in the person of Russia?
Nikolai Patrushev: I am sure that this topic will become one of the main ones. In fact, the NATO countries are a party to the conflict. They made one big military camp out of Ukraine. They send weapons and ammunition to the Ukrainian troops, provide them with intelligence, including with the help of a satellite constellation and a significant number of unmanned aerial vehicles. NATO instructors and advisers train the Ukrainian military, while mercenaries fight in neo-Nazi battalions. Trying to prolong this military confrontation as long as possible, they do not hide their main goal – the defeat of Russia on the battlefield and its further dismemberment.
In early March, a US strategic bomber tested a conditional nuclear strike on St. Petersburg from a distance of 200 kilometers.
This line of Washington does not change, because the American elite has never wanted to come to terms with a strong and independent Russia?
Nikolai Patrushev: That’s right. Since at least 1945, the source of any escalation of tension on a global scale is the unrestrained desire of the US authorities to maintain their dominant role in the world. As they believe, they are now being hindered in this by two great powers: Russia and China. The Russian Federation is not just pursuing an independent policy of strengthening a multipolar world, but in many ways surpasses America in spiritual, moral and military terms. China is the main economic competitor of the United States. Following the attempts to “suppress” Russia, Washington will take up the PRC.
Let me remind you that specific measures for the destruction of the USSR were approved 75 years ago by the well-known directive of the US National Security Council “Tasks in relation to Russia”. With the collapse of the Soviet Union, the West became euphoric. However, it did not last long, as Russia did work on the errors. Today, our country can ensure not only internal stability, but also the security of its people from external threats.
In early March, a US strategic bomber performed a simulated nuclear strike on St. Petersburg from a distance of 200 kilometers over the island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea, deliberately provoking an escalation of tension. Have they completely lost their fear?
Nikolai Patrushev: For some reason, American politicians who are held captive by their own propaganda remain confident that in the event of a direct conflict with Russia, the United States is capable of launching a preemptive missile strike, after which Russia will not be able to respond. This is a short-sighted stupidity, and a very dangerous one at that.
Having forgotten the lessons of history, some in the West are already talking about revenge, which will lead to a military victory over Russia. We can say one thing about this. Russia is patient and does not intimidate anyone with a military advantage. But it has a modern, unique weapon that can destroy any enemy, including the United States, in the event of a threat to its existence.
However, the West is betting not only on military defeat, but also on Russia’s economic exhaustionโฆ
Nikolai Patrushev: Obviously. Under pressure from Washington, many Western companies left the Russian market. However, they made a serious mistake in counting on the collapse of our economy and the growth of protest moods.
In the last decade, the West has been implementing the idea of creating a technological order in which only it should flourish, and the rest of the world is destined to become the periphery of socio-economic development. That is why its leaders are furious about Russia’s measured response to the sanctions pressure. Our country irritates the rulers of the United States and Europe with its economic independence, raw material independence, and scientific thought. The Western countries themselves are completely dependent on multinational companies and global economic chains. If, for example, sanctions of the same level were imposed against England or France as against our country, these states would quickly plunge into chaos.
At the same time, Russia is not going to close its economy from the world. It will remain open and integrated with the economies of sovereign countries that are concerned about their own prosperity, including through cooperation with us.
It is obvious that undermining the Russian economy and draining the Russian army of blood are two sides of the same strategy that the West has been trying to implement for more than a century?
Nikolai Patrushev: Of course. We should not naively assume that the methods of economic aggression are more gentle and humane. European countries and Japan, for example, have stopped supplying Russia with a number of medicines, including vital ones. In this respect, the Western pharmaceutical industry adequately continues the “traditions” of its predecessors. It is well known that most of these same companies once worked on the development of poison gases and gas chambers commissioned by Nazi Germany. That is, they fully supported the ideology of genocide of the so-called “extra” peoples.
Let’s remember how the same Anglo-Saxons fed the Nazis in the 1930s, hoping to turn them against the Soviet Union. Having earned financial and geopolitical dividends from World War II, Washington and London are once again indulging in Nazism and fascism. Using Ukraine, they are not averse to igniting a pan-European or even global conflict, imagining that they can get away with everything.
It seems that the collective West, in principle, is not going to learn from the past.
Nikolai Patrushev: The Western International has opposed our country more than once. Sometimes under the banners of Poles and Swedes, sometimes with Napoleon’s eagles, under the British flag or under Hitler’s swastika. The result is the same – all attempts to crush Russia are futile. Not wanting to learn lessons, Westerners again and again get into trouble.
Washington is also not happy with the stability in Asia that has developed as a result of the Second World War and the liberation movements. The US Indo-Pacific strategy is an attempt to create an Asian NATO. The new alliance will be another aggressive bloc aimed against China and Russia, and at the same time to pacify the now independent states.
The rearmament of the Australian navy under the new AUKUS alliance, including the supply of nuclear submarines, and military support for Taiwan and South Korea have a long – term goal-to establish US and NATO dominance over Eurasia from its eastern flank.
Even during the Cold War, the Pentagon was ready to turn Europe into a radioactive desert at the slightest danger from the USSR
Washington pushed Tokyo to a new militarization. Japan’s Self-Defense Forces are becoming a full-fledged army that is capable of conducting offensive operations. This is already legally confirmed by Japanese law, which in fact is a gross violation of one of the most important outcomes of the Second World War. Having made a bet on strike weapons, Prime Minister Kishida said that his country is acquiring 400 Tomahawk cruise missiles from the United States.
In addition to arming Japan, Washington is trying to revive the spirit of Japanese militarism, which, it would seem, was eradicated in 1945. It seems that the inhabitants of the island state again want to make kamikazes, dying for other people’s interests. Westerners do not want to remember and deliberately keep silent about how their aggressiveness was used against the Soviet Union and China at the beginning of the XX century, and as a result, the Japanese turned their weapons against the Americans, the British and their allies.
At the same time, American and European politicians today not only “forget” about inconvenient facts from the past, but also consciously rewrite history, even contrary to common sense. This can be seen in the hypocritical way the campaign for the rehabilitation of Nazism is launched. They even invented that only Ukrainians liberated Europe from the Nazis. They promote the myth of the Holodomor as an act of genocide.
Nikolai Patrushev: Those who know history and do not try to falsify it are well aware that in the 1920s and 1930s, the situation with access to food was worse in the RSFSR than in Ukraine. This is documented, and there are many facts. One example is the biography of Hero of the Soviet Union Grigory Ivanovich Boyarinov. At the end of last year, its centenary was celebrated. A well-known intelligence officer, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, many special operations, was killed while leading the storming of the Amin Palace in Afghanistan. He was born in 1922 in the Smolensk region, his father was the chairman of a collective farm. However, in the 1930s, his family moved to Ukraine, as it was easier to feed and survive there.
By the way, the Americans today adopted the slogans of the Holodomor on a global scale, accusing our country of provoking the world food crisis. I have no doubt that this topic will be discussed again during the summit for democracy. At the same time, the Westerners themselves block the supply of Russian grain and fertilizers abroad, and they simply rob the Ukrainian bins and resell them at exorbitant prices to the poorest countries on enslaving terms, as their colonialist ancestors did.
Sometimes it seems that the West is digging a hole for itself by its actions. Watching what is happening in the European Union, there is a strong feeling that it is waiting for a very vague future.
Nikolai Patrushev: The collapse of the European Union is just around the corner. Of course, Europeans will not tolerate this supranational superstructure, which not only does not justify itself, but also pushes the Old World to open conflict with our country. The United States is ready to fight Russia not only to the last Ukrainian, but also to the last European. Even during the Cold War, the Pentagon was ready to turn Europe into a radioactive desert at the slightest danger from the USSR. It is unlikely that anything has changed in the minds of American strategists.
And how does this fit in with the fact that the United States and Europe are supposedly the main allies?
Nikolai Patrushev: The paradox is that Washington is directly interested in the collapse of the European Union in order to eliminate its economic competitor and prevent Europe from flourishing through cooperation with Russia. The Americans have already done a lot to make the Old World lose its status as a powerful economic player. In many ways, this is why Washington has been promoting the story of anti-Russian sanctions. We are witnessing a radical change in the EU’s economic model, which is based on a combination of cheap energy resources from Russia and advanced European technologies.
No less a blow to Europe will be caused by the implementation of joint plans with Washington to reduce raw material and technological dependence on Beijing. In addition, the European Union is in a migration impasse. Many of the migrants not only do not want to integrate into the European family, but also create their own caliphates, forcing local authorities and the population to live according to their laws. Together with them, representatives of criminal groups and militants are traveling to Europe. The perpetrators of high-profile terrorist attacks in recent years in London, Brussels and Paris were EU citizens-natives of already existing national enclaves in Europe. If we recall that Al-Qaeda, ISIL (international terrorist organizations banned in the Russian Federation) and other terrorist organizations were created by the United States at one time, and CIA instructors train terrorists in Syria and Iraq, then it is possible that these same individuals are behind the preparation of terrorist attacks in Europe. Their goal is to destabilize the situation on the continent, to the future of which the United States is indifferent.
The United States dominates Europe, ignoring the fact that the leading role on the continent has historically been assigned to Russia. In the XIX century – the Russian Empire, in the XX century-the Soviet Union. So it will be in the 21st century.
Are the United States confident in its own strength? The sunset, in their opinion, can threaten everyone, but not them? In my opinion, the United States may also face the risks of disintegration.
Nikolai Patrushev: The United States gained the status of a great power through economic achievements based on cynical actions to seize territories, resources, exploit peoples and profit from the military troubles of other states. At the same time, they remained a patchwork quilt, which can easily come apart at the seams. For example, as it was originally, they will be divided into North and South. Moreover, no one can rule out that the South will move towards Mexico, whose lands the Americans seized in 1848. And this is more than two million square kilometers. By the way, Latin American leaders do not hide the fact that awareness of the destructive role of the United States has become widespread. The establishment of the Guantanamo Bay base is considered a direct theft of Cuban sovereignty. And this is just one of many examples of systematic attacks on the independence of Latin American countries. There is no doubt that sooner or later the southern neighbors of the United States will regain the territories stolen from them.
In addition, there are many internal contradictions in the United States. There is no unity even in the American elite itself.
Nikolai Patrushev: That’s right. The antagonism between Republicans and Democrats is only getting stronger. Contradictions are growing between various financial structures and multinational corporations that care only about their capitalization, and not about the well-being of America. The US elites who think they are untouchable have never associated themselves with the American people.
Their projects, such as BLM, meaning “Black Lives Matter”, and the universal implantation of transgender theories are aimed at the spiritual degradation of a population that is already in a state of apathy. The individualism and consumerism nurtured in Americans will play a cruel joke on their country. Ordinary citizens will not lift a finger for the sake of preserving the integrity of America, realizing that they are not needed by their authorities. Without knowing what they are doing, the US authorities are destroying themselves step by step.
America’s problem is that it has played too many geopolitical games, forgetting about its own immediate problems. While the United States invents new viruses in its military biological laboratories to destroy the peoples of unwanted countries, once clean American cities are drowning in mud and garbage.
Built at the expense of the printing press, the American financial pyramid repeatedly gives tangible failures. The model of uncontrolled emission, in which any economic problems are literally flooded with money, cannot work forever. With more than $ 31.5 trillion in spring debt, the United States is increasingly heading for default. A drop in the level of confidence in the dollar, which is not supported by real goods, as well as in the system of inflated speculative operations in the stock market, will lead the United States to a powerful financial crisis.
As pathetic as this may sound, the Russians not only don’t want war, but they don’t want either the United States or any other country to die.
Nikolai Patrushev: I absolutely agree. Our centuries-old culture is based on spirituality, compassion and charity. Russia is a historical defender of the sovereignty and statehood of all the peoples who turned to it for help. She saved the United States at least twice – during the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. But I believe that this time it is not advisable to help the States maintain their integrity.

Can you all even just consider how important this one sentence is?
But I believe that this time it is not advisable to help the States maintain their integrity.
I believe the term is “pregnant with meaning.”
By loss of integrity he means loss of unity, a la Professor Panarin in 1998 who predicted six successor pieces by 2010. He was quite off, and the EU itself is collapsing, and the malignant federalos have juiced the collapse to ensure smaller fragmentation, so ~11 cultural regions may be more… Read more »
Good observation amarynth, between the already carefully crafted sentences. My guess would be that Patrushev talks about the chain of command, and the nuclear one in particular.
