Daily Chronicles
The Daily Chronicles are snippets of the most important news across the world for this and each day as it rolls in – as such, this thread is non-structured with the latest news on top. The rough theme from the previous Daily Chronicles was: Empire Strikes Back and this theme changes to For Whom the Bell Tolls. Empire realizes that the bell tolls for them!

Today, I’m taking somewhat of a rest day. Enjoy yourselves as there are many threads up and open for discussion. I have to think of the growth phase here because our stats have increased for visitors and views something like 31% but yet, commenting is down a few percentage points.
I have an update on Latin America almost ready and it is so that nobody is keeping quiet any longer. The rhetoric is fierce and it is clear .. Yankee, Go Home. The backlash on the idea of DU Ammo is worldwide.
LULA’s China visit is postponed – seemingly he has pneumonia. This needs another confirmation though. (And it just came in – this visit is postponed).
How about that underwater North Korean missile blast? Smoothie did a teach-in on what he thinks China needs in its military, but he did not count North Korea.
France is in utter hell and the cops are piling in and beating people mercilessly.
The US launched airstrikes in Syria – not sure yet of the size of the shooting of the country that you are in illegally.
Israel also shot the Damascus airport once again, but Israel is in a mess. It is hard to figure out what is what. My sources report on right-wing violence and terror.
Moon of Alabama has a serious list of links and yes, we see the Rebooting of the Axis of evil.

The west is insane. Apparently, Russian jets have violated the airspace of the Al Tanf US base in Syria approximately 25 times already this month.
Only problem with this assertion is the US is there illegally. We can ‘violate’ them all we want! Go Russia, Violate a Lot!
Thursday, March 23. They are going to try something like the Slobodan Milošević trials. Thing is, not even Ukraine has signed on to the Rome Statute. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/States_parties_to_the_Rome_Statute_of_the_International_Criminal_Court
International Criminal Court Rep. Office to be Opened in Ukraine – agreement already signed in The Hague (Reports) – RT
Thursday, March 23 – this is a selection of comments in response to the hysteria in the west after the Russia / China successful burial of Pax Americana. The Chinese spokesperson and the Russian spokesperson both gave fiery comments in their last press conferences. But the most pathetic is the US.
“In response to questions he received during a press conference on Monday about Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin cementing a “new era” in strategic partnership between China and Russia, the White House National Security Council’s John Kirby made no fewer than seven assertions that the US is the “leader” of the world.” Pick this up from Caitlin Johnstone who explains the why of the propaganda. It is akin to the Pied Piper of Hamelin, luring children away, or the Song of the Siren, luring sailors to shipwreck.
Maria Zakharova in her press conference yesterday:
- We are working with partners in the CIS, Asia, Middle East, Africa & Latin America to create a stable infrastructure of international relations that will not be controlled by the West. We will stand together to counter sanctions & other neocolonial practices.
- The International Criminal Court has long discredited itself. It is fulfilling the Western countries’ political contracts, which has nothing to do with justice. The ICC has not helped settle a single conflict. Russia will not cooperate with it.
- Everybody knows the beneficiaries of the drawn-out conflict in Ukraine. US defence contractors are lining their pockets on arms supplies to replenish the empty arsenals of Europe, which is forced to take out US loans to buttress its depleted budgets
- London’s decision to send depleted uranium ammunition to Ukraine shows that Kiev and the West are not interested in settling the conflict. They don’t care that their actions are turning Ukraine into scorched earth and a source of radioactive contamination.
- On March 24, 1999, the US and its allies attacked Yugoslavia. The Western “peacekeepers” spared no one, killing hundreds of Yugoslav soldiers and over 2,000 civilians. There is no justification for NATO atrocities
Kiev regime has willfully cranked up the adoption of anti-Russia sanctions. This is being done to keep the Ukrainian agenda afloat in the West and to continue doing what Kiev has no equal in: professional scrounging
A segue to Medvedev: “We have witnessed a catastrophic decline in the competence and basic literacy of the leaders of the EU.”
Comments from Wang Wenbin
- Just as China is making journeys for peace, the US has announced another $350 million of weaponry to Ukraine. There’s little question as to who’s fueling the conflict and who’s promoting talks for peace.
- The JCPOA capped Iran’s stockpile of uranium at 300kg enriched to 3.67% purity, whereas the US & UK plan to transfer tonnes of weapons-grade highly enriched uranium of over 90% purity to Australia. The nuclear proliferation risk of AUKUS is clearly visible.
- The SVB’s collapse has sent shock waves throughout the global financial market. We hope the US will increase transparency & provide clarity on the exact size of the risk, response measures & ways to minimize its spillover. This is a responsibility and what’s expected of the US.
- We urge the US to adopt a responsible macroeconomic policy, take credible steps to stabilize market expectations and investor confidence, and avoid radical policy shifts that may cause serious spillover effects and repeat the history of the 2008 financial crisis.
As you can easily see from these selected comments, there is no hesitation to call out the western actions and atrocities. Mr Kirby can sing his song many more times over, but there are 7 billion people that do not believe one word out of his mouth or one sound from his pipe or siren song.
Thursday, March 23 – a blast from the past:
In 2016, Victoria Nuland told Congress that US advisors serve in 12 Ukrainian ministries, US-trained police operate in 18 Ukrainian cities, the US Treasury helped close 60 Ukrainian banks while protecting depositors, and the US spent $266 million on training Ukrainian soldiers. Thinking back to the fall of the USSR, this is exactly the institutional western influence that existed at the time. The west is angry, because Russia did not allow this to take root.

Nat South did a quick visual with the current western (cant) script:

This ‘junior partner’ is appearing everywhere. I’m not in the habit of giving CNN links but this is worth reading to understand the US lash back. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/03/22/politics/xi-putin-us-relationship/index.html
Wednesday, March 22 (Oh, how angry the west is! – But, the Russian MoD was ready for them. Can one even imagine the security around the Russia/China meet.)
Mass Drone Attack On Crimea Foiled — Moscow
Key points from the latest report by Russia’s Minister of Defense Sergey Shoigu:
▪️Russian defenses have foiled a massive UAV raid aimed at targets in Crimea.
‘From 4.00 am to 5.56 am today, there was an attempt to hit Russian facilities in Sevastopol by drones.
All three aerial vehicles have been neutralised. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that two aerial vehicles were shot down by Senior Sailor Marina A. Faleeva and Chief Starshina Tatyana V. Tseluiko.
🤝I would like to give instructions to present the women with awards and, in accordance with our decisions, to give money reward for destroying enemy vehicles’.
▪️Russia’s Air Force conducted more than 140 thousand sorties, which resulted in more than 20 thousand enemy targets being destroyed (This may be out of context and nothing to do with the UAV raid. These numbers must be cumalative.)
▪️According to Shoigu, the United States is trying to suppress Russia and China in the Asia-Pacific region via their regional military initiative
▪️For defensive purposes, Russia deployed a new missile systems division in the Kuril Islands late last year, which for decades have been at the center of a territorial dispute with Japan
Remember on the first day of the summit, there was two B-52 bombers flying toward Russian airspace and reported by National Centre for State Defence Control of the Russian Federation. I detailed it here: https://sovereignista.com/2023/03/20/feet-dry/
Nat South, with the required education, experience and training in this field, has a short comment that says it all: That dual B-52 “demonstration of capability” is the U.S skating on thin ice, what with the presence of Chinese president in Moscow but also 40 African leaders and high level officials..

And here is his latest: https://nzflocked.com/the-briics-a-hegemon-and-a-black-swan-all-swimming-into-a-perfect-storm/
Congrats Col! Feel free to beg, borrow or lend or steal from us, as much as you want or need. We are fraternal. Go Give ’em Hell! I have to update our blog list and will add yours as well in the next day or so.
Now go and give Col some love, a comment, a click, and a visit. That iconic article on Ivermectin is there as well and just this morning I had a request for it.

Statements from Nikolai Patrushev during a trip to Ulyanovsk on Tuesday:
The West Spreads Neo-Nazis Ideology Around The World — Russian Security Council Secretary
▪️The US is used to juggling the law and considers the rest of the world vassals
▪️As Russia upholds justice and its independence, Moscow is at odds with the US
▪️Washington uses blank lies and sweeping accusations to discredit Russia
▪️The US and its henchmen sow hatred toward Russia and its people
▪️Russia will never forget the tragedy at Khatyn, where civilians were killed 80 years ago
▪️Extremists are using the internet to reduce support for the special military operation in Ukraine

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the speeches by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping at the talks in Moscow caused anger, envy, and jealousy among Western regimes. The West was “foaming at the mouth” listening to the politicians’ opening remarks, Zakharova wrote in her Telegram channel.
The diplomat added that the two leaders spoke about the many years of creative development of bilateral relations. At the same time, they talked about the creative development not only in the interests of Russia and China but also of the entire world, Zakharova stressed.

This is good news. First, read Medvedev on the Putin Arrest Warrant on RT: https://www.rt.com/russia/573260-medvedev-icc-arrest-warrant/
And for once Russia is showing teeth:
Moscow opens criminal case over Putin warrant
The International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor and judges who issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin have become the targets of a criminal case, Russia’s Investigative Committee announced on Monday.
In a Telegram post, the committee said that it had opened cases against ICC prosecutor Karim Ahmad Khan, as well as judges Tomoko Akane, Rosario Salvatore Aitala and Sergio Gerardo Ugalde Godinez.
Khan sent a petition on February 22 to the ICC Pre-Trial Chamber to obtain warrants for the arrest of Putin and Russia’s commissioner for children’s rights, Maria Lvova-Belova, whom he accused of being responsible for the “illegal deportation of children from Ukraine.” His petition was approved by the aforementioned judges.
Russia’s investigative committee has described the ICC’s prosecutions as “obviously illegal, since there are no grounds for criminal liability.” It also pointed to the 1973 UN Protection of Diplomats Convention which grants heads of state absolute immunity from the jurisdiction of foreign countries.

The ammunition metal forms aerosols on impact, and it settles everywhere: https://www.mdpi.com/2071-1050/7/4/4063 It’s particles are not something that you can filtrate like dust.
